I was referred to Amazae Events for our wedding through the event coordinator at Carmel Valley Ranch and cannot express how appreciative we are for their recommendation. Crystal and all of the Amazae team put on a FANTASTIC wedding for us. Having read the many raving reviews on Unilocal I felt confident they would help us plan a beautiful wedding, but their professionalism and talent at event planning went above and beyond our expectations. WOW –they are great at what they do! There are so many reasons for giving this company a 5 star Unilocal review!
All in all we had a very tall order with our expectations, large bridal party and quick timeline to put together a 200+ person wedding, yet this team executed everything flawlessly!
First the planning process with Crystal was extremely organized from start to finish. From our initial phone call (free consultation) I was impressed. This is clearly a well run business from their website, social media and overall planning presentation. They gave us everything we asked for including an absolutely stunning party tent that wowed us and our guests. Secondly, there is a great deal of client care that is evident with the entire Amazae team. Whether speaking with Crystal, Caitlin or Reena we always felt that we were in great hands. Lastly — and most importantly– their execution is terrific! All of the last minute details and questions were handled wonderfully by Crystal and her team.
We even witnessed them fix ‘problems’ seamlessly being that I brought a faulty wedding arch that we discovered wouldn’t work on the Rehearsal day. By the day of the wedding, Crystal and team surprised us with a stunning arch that fit into the style of the day and I never thought twice about it. So many people have commented on how beautiful it was and we loved how it was a surprise! This event planning team handles any issues and last minute surprises with such poise and grace. Crystal even drove us to our hotel suite at the end of the night realizing we needed a quick lift back.
From being wonderfully organized, to fixing any potential planning issues quickly, and keeping our day fabulous and worry free — not to mention being a valet– Crystal was spectacular. We’ll be using Amazae for any big events going forward! :)

This is my very first Unilocal Review. This is a real review (I know some people who are becoming more skeptical about reviews). I found Crystal by reading reviews on Unilocal,and it’s only fair that I return the favor and let others know about my experience with her and her team.
I had my wedding last month and everything turned out as we pictured it to be. My now husband and I are not planners and we did not want the wedding planning to be an aversive experience, so we decided to hire a planner. Crystal is personable and she is passionate about what she does. She helped us stay on our timeline from beginning to end, and communicated with us regularly. If you want to enjoy the planning process and be stress free, I recommend Amazae Events. It was comforting seeing Crystal and her team take care of things on our wedding day. We enjoyed our wedding and spent more time with our guests and did not worry about a thing.

«Your wedding was the best wedding I have ever attended! No seriously. BEST.WEDDING.EVER» That was the response we got from all our guests, and pure joy to hear. That was literally all we wanted from our special day– for our guests to feel like celebrities because we wanted to thank them for being part of our lives. And boy did Crystal and her team deliver!
When my husband, John and I first started the wedding planning process, I said I wanted to just go to the court house to save money. He told me he wanted a 200+ guest wedding. I told him fine, but if we’re going to do this, we’re going to do this right, and I want a wedding planner because I simply did not have time. After much research, Amazae Special Events caught my eye due to Crystal’s eye for design. I’m pretty particular in what I like, and I definitely did not want our wedding to look like «another typical wedding.» When I told John about how much the services were, he did not understand the reason behind the cost. He felt that money could be better spent on actual items for the wedding. But after much discussion, I was able to convince him that we NEEDED Crystal. And thank god I did.
We had numerous meetings with Crystal so we could let her know what was important to us. She listened patiently to all our crazy ideas, came back with her interpretation, and changed whatever we requested. She was so creative, professional, and easy to work with. I trusted her so much that I didn’t even bother seeing any samples of anything (not even the flower arrangements). I felt she always had our best interest at hand and made me feel completely at ease. This was especially apparent during the last 2 weeks prior to our wedding. I didn’t have to do anything except respond to emails regarding guest lists and things only I could provide. It was probably a complete nightmare for Crystal and Reena (her wonderful assistant) because there were so many last minute changes I kept having to make. They handled all the changes with stride and encouraged me to continue to communicate any and all concerns.
Come the big day. WOW. Talk about execution at its finest. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Nor did any of our bridal party. We literally just showed up and followed the timeline that Crystal provided. The whole night felt like there was a gradual incline– the party just kept getting bigger and better. The night was so magical. Every detail from the flowers, to the linens, to the lighting had cohesion. It was absolute perfection.
I spoke with John about our wedding, and he was the first to admit that our wedding would not have been as Epic as it was if not for Crystal and her Team. He was so happy with their services and how everything turned out. We would have royally been disappointed if we had spent all this money on this huge event, and it didn’t go the way we wanted. But thanks to Crystal and her team, John and I and all of our guests attended the most incredible wedding anyone can ask for. If you’re looking to host any event (especially your wedding), and you want it to be executed perfectly, Amazae will change your life. Thank you again Crystal!

Amazae Special Events and Crystal Lequang could not be recommended more highly from me or my family after the fabulous job that she did planning and designing my wedding last year. I initially met with Crystal after seeing her name on the Style Me Pretty vendor guide and looking at various posts of weddings she worked on. My fiancé and parents were skeptical of hiring a wedding planning and felt that it was an unnecessary expense but after I met with her, I knew I had to have her and we made it work and it was honestly the single best decision I ever made in our entire wedding planning process. Crystal helped bring all my ideas together and created a wedding I thought I could only dream about. We are still hearing how wonderful our wedding was from guests a year later. My fiancé and parents quickly changed their tune after they met with Crystal and when the day of our wedding came, they were beyond shock and awe at everything Amazae did. The entire day went perfectly (as far as I know and that’s how it should be with a great wedding planner) and every detail we discussed was executed beautifully. Throughout the entire planning process, Crystal was by my side, supporting me, calming me down, responding back to my million texts and emails, being the tough guy in sticky family situations, etc. I had major Crystal withdrawals when our wedding day was over! Her entire team was professional and respectful and worked so hard to make our day come together the way it did. I will recommend Crystal and Amazae to every bride I meet and wish I could get married again so I could do everything all over with her again! We had so much fun together! Crystal truly puts her clients first and has a true and undeniable talent for design.

I have worked with Crystal and her team for years. She did my sisters wedding back when she was starting her business and was amazing then. Since then she has done numerous of my friends and family members weddings. So when it was my turn there was not even a doubt in my mind who I would chose. I was super super involved and had done a lot of design work on the front end before officially hiring Crystal. Which for a designer and planner is kind of a nightmare, getting on the train when it’s already at full speed kind of puts you at a disadvantage. She did an amazing job of jumping in and molding the design into something that was cohesive and would work well together while still respecting what I had done already. Our wedding was a destination wedding and she did advance site visits, and was on site the day before for the initial vendor arrival and set up. The week of our wedding rain was predicted which was extremely un expected in July and the whole wedding was outdoors. By the time I texted her about it she was already was working on a plan and getting prices for tents. This was on a Sunday by the way. It threw a lot of extra work onto her plate the week of the wedding but she handled it with ease. Our wedding was also at a historical property that belongs to our family so she did an outstanding job working with unusual circumstances and set ups. We had not one thing go wrong the day of our wedding and I had extremely high expectations of how the visuals would be laid out and the flow for the day. Her and her team executed exactly what was in my head. She does a wonderful job of being professional and staying calm in all situations. She also has a keen eye for design, layout, and new ideas. I love Crystal and would hire her for anything she can do!

I recently had the opportunity to work Amazae Special Events, not as a client but as a fellow vendor at a wedding. I am a photographer and I have to work very closely with event planners/​coordinators at various types of events and this was the first time that I was actually impressed enough to want to write a review. I see what goes on behind the scenes; the issues, the problems, and I get to see how these issues are handled by the coordinators. Often, not very well, but the ladies from Amazae that coordinated the wedding that day were some of the MOST organized, communicative, helpful, and thoughtful people I’ve ever worked with! I watched as they handled themselves with the wedding families, the other vendors, and the event staff from the winery, and their dedication to making other people happy was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. My words might sound a little «over the top», but they truly deserve it. From this point forward this wilI be the only event planning company that I recommend to my wedding clients and friends and I look forward to working with them in the future.

Based on all the great reviews, I was very excited to hire Amazae for my daughter’s first birthday party in April; so to be fair, I can’t provide a full and accurate review until the event has actually occurred — so will update my review for all of you then! :)

Crystal and her assistant at Amazae were highly professional and full of helpful ideas. Although we ultimately decided to plan our own own wedding, we would not hesitate to recommend her services and expertise to others in planning their big day.

I don’t want to sound like a broken record, or like I don’t have an original thought in my head… but I do truly believe Crystal and her crew are AWESOME!
When my wife originally told me she wanted a wedding planner/​coordinator, I was a little reserved. I wasn’t quite sure if it would be worth the money and I’d planned large events before so I thought it’d be a piece of cake. Boy was I wrong! Crystal brought in a very calming presence during a stressful time. I guess I didn’t realize how stressful getting married was with all the different parts. It’s like a living, breathing, jig-​saw puzzle… and Crystal is a puzzle master. I will make this a short and sweet with a list:
1. Crystal and her staff are very friendly… and during the meetings at her office she would give me pink lemonade!
2. If you’re debating getting a planner, Crystal is well worth it. She gives you different perspectives and ideas for your event if you have no clue what you’re looking for. Not to mention, the day of coordination is a must have. Without a doubt, everything went smooth because of Crystal.
3. Crystal is well networked with vendors.
I would strongly recommend Crystal. It was almost like having a close friend with you during one of the most hectic and stressful days of your life. She was always calm and reassuring.

Absolutely worth meeting Crystal face to face to see if she’s a good fit for your event planning!
I emailed with Crystal, and our wires crossed over what I was inquiring about. I got frustrated, and replied that I was frustrated and she sent back an EXQUISITELY empathetic and professional response.
What was I confused and frustrated about? They don’t do service menus or price ranges. They do every package (and price) customized to the couple’s planning needs. This does NOT mean Crystal does not take on modestly budgeted weddings. If you’re worried about that, contact her anyway. A big part of wedding planning is grace under fire and negotiation and problem solving, and Crystal gave every indication in our final exchange that she has those qualities in spades.
I found another planner I am excited to hire for a variety of reasons, but I thoroughly recommend interviewing Amazae’s team.

I don’t think I can say enough about Crystal and her team at Amazae Special Events. She is simply the best! From the moment my fiancé and I met her, we knew we wanted to work with her for our wedding. We both felt like we had a close friend planning our wedding which was such a calming influence.
One of the best things when hiring Crystal is that you get HER from beginning to end planning your wedding. She let us know this at our first meeting and boy did she mean it! She responded to each and every e-​mail of mine directly… and I know I probably pushed it with all of my late night e-​mails but she responded quickly and with all of the information I needed to answer each question.
Crystal has a long list of fabulous vendors that she has been working with directly for years. So you know when she recommends someone, that they are going to be just as amazing as she is.
Crystal also makes things happen and I truly mean that! She gets things done the day of and you don’t even have to bat an eyelash. My fiancé and I didn’t worry about a thing on the day of our wedding and just got to enjoy being Mr. and Mrs. and have fun with our guests.

I had never anticipated getting a Day of Coordinator for my wedding. I didn’t think I needed one and I didn’t think my wedding budget would allow for one, but after talking to several friends who had hired coordinators and me and the groom wanting to make sure we enjoyed our day (stress-​free), we decided to splurge and hire Crystal, who was recommended by our photographer.
Working with Crystal was easy which was a plus because planning the wedding for the West Coast, from the East Coast was hard enough. We emailed frequently, talked via Skype/​phone and when I made visits to the Bay Area, we did meet face to face. Crystal was always organized, upbeat, friendly, professional and responded promptly to all forms of communication. Most importantly, she is on your side. She will do everything possible to ensure that you have a great day and she fights for you if something goes wrong with one of your vendors. She is in the business not for the money, but to make sure you have your dream wedding.
In addition to hiring her for her «day of» skills, I also added to the package the Design Consultation because I had a lot of ideas what I did/didn’t want and I wanted to make sure it all tied in together versus combining a whole bunch of random themes/​ideas. Then from there, I was able to book the vendors I wanted (but I mostly booked the ones she recommended) and execute everything else, based on the vision that both she and I had for my wedding.
She led the rehearsal and gave us adequate time for practice as well as asking questions and addressing concerns. For the day of, she was energetic, professional and a leader. Although there were a few hiccups that I learned about during the ceremony/​reception, I didn’t hear of it till much later that night and didn’t notice anything at the time. Even my guests didn’t notice anything out of place.
For those wavering on the decision if they should hire a coordinator, from one budget-​conscious person to another, hands down I would hire Crystal and have her work her magic so that your once in a lifetime, special day, is enjoyable for you and all your loved ones.

I feel incredibly blessed to have found Crystal and Amazae in the beginning of our wedding planning process. We hired Crystal for event design and coordination and let me just say, this was the SINGLE most important, best decision we ever made our 2 year wedding planning process. After we met and started working with Crystal, everything else just feel into place… and the wedding that I never thought was possible… happened! Thanks in huge part to Crystal, her team, and her amazing recommendations.
I don’t know where to even start with how smart, talented, and kind Crystal is, how much she loves her work and how much she loves her clients, and how professional she is. If you are Crystal’s clients, you are in great hands with no worries, PROMISE!!!
Initial Consultation: We first met Crystal and was impressed by her professionalism and know knowledgeable she was. And her friendly, honest (she is very honest and this was one the qualities that I loved about her) made it a no-​brainer of who we wanted to work with! She is talented and a people-​person!
And I must add that ever recommendation that she ever gave us in the planning process, ever piece of advice… spot on! She saw things that my then fiancé and I never thought of. Crystal anticipated these things and it seemed like she had a remedy for ever situation that arose. My husband and I were always like, «Wow. Crystal is good.»
Design Consultation: I am a scatterbrain and must have emailed and given Crystal a bunch of magazine photos, emailed her a bunch of pictures and everything I gave her was all over the place. At our initial design meeting, Crystal sat down with my then fiancé and I, and she came up with this wonderful vision. She suggested and came up with all sorts of ideas that my husband and I would never think of. Let me put it this way, after the design meeting, we walked away saying, «Wow. How does she come up with all these things?» And you know what, she never stops thinking about your wedding. One day, I received an email saying, I should go to Z-​Gallerie, she saw some beautiful crystal butterflies and flowers, she’d like to use for our wedding while she was shopping with her daughter! That’s right on her personal time, she saw something that inspired her and sent me a photo of it asap. I can go on and on about how creative she is. Basically, anything you’ve ever dream of… prepared to be in disbelief on the actual day of your wedding… because I feel like Crystal can read your mind and make it even better!
Advice and etc: During a 2 year planning process, Crystal was there for us every step of the way. Many many many emails. She was always prompt and gave the best advice. And towards the end of the process, when things were stressful for me, she called me and gave me the best advice. I can’t emphasize enough how caring and amazing of a person she is. :)
Day of Coordination: Again, best decision ever. We were in such great hands, that my worry before the wedding was whether I had everything on her checklist. Yep! That’s it. Aside from that the week of, I didn’t have a care in the world (logistically speaking) and that’s because we had Crystal and her team. The day of… they did more than deliver. Crystal brought along her assistants Tam and Tyler… and they are just as fantastic as well!!! Everything went so smoothly and on-​time. My parents can’t stop raving about how awesome her team is and how they took great care of not only the bridal party and I, but of everyone else at the wedding!!!
Bottom line for day of coordination: People use to tell me that nothing happens on-​time at a wedding. My new response: If you have Crystal and Team Amazae… your wedding will be on-​time! :)
Wedding Day Design: OMG! She made all of our wedding dreams come true and more. Her vision of our wedding that she brought to life… it gives me goosebumps and it feels surreal… as I look back, I still can’t believe that was our wedding. Simply put, she was our fairy god-​mother!!!
In short, I LOVE Crystal and Team Amazae, and I HIGHLY recommend her as your wedding day event design and coordinator.

Crystal Lequang and her team is pure awesomeness. After meeting with a few different coordinators, we decided on Crystal because of the professionalism as well as our comfortablilty with her.
All great things have been said about Crystal already, but just to drill it in some more, Crystal has made a firm believer in me about wedding/​party coordination and design. Planning a wedding was a really big project for us because we wanted it to be nice and we had a lot of guests. Crystal is highly organized and made the process as easy as possible. During our design meetings she had these amazing ideas that seem to pop out of nowhere. There would be no way for me to think of these details or vision. We felt so comfortable, we basically gave her free will to do her magic. She’d always confirm to make sure it was okay with us first though!
There is a sort of calming aura from her as well. During stressful times of the planning process, an email or phone call from her would make us feel at ease. I think it’s the professionalism and confidence. She won’t allow things to falter and wants the event to be what you envision and more.
I would recommend anyone to definately check out coordinators and try to fit it in your budget. It will make the process easier and cohesive. I’ve been to events where Crystal has setup a bunch of different vignettes and they can probably fit the vision you are looking for. I kind of hope I have another big event to plan just so I can work with her again!

Crystal is literally the best. I was planning a 25^th anniversary party for my parents, and had never organized a party before. I went to her based off my cousin’s experience (who got married over summer and used her services), and of course all the great Unilocal reviews. I’ve never made a better decision before, the whole process was so simple from choosing a venue to decorations to executing the actual event. It was absolutely perfect and the compliments haven’t stopped pouring in. She’s basically ‘superwoman’ and can have anything and everything done, just tell her your vision, your exact budget, and its done! She wasn’t wrong about anything and everything went smoothly with no problems. My advice is to go to her before even picking a venue, and as I did start off with her from the very beginning. She’s organized, stays on top of EVERYTHING, and has the BEST design ideas out of anyone else you’ll interview. I can’t stress how flawless everything turned out, you’ll have to use her and see for yourself! Goodluck!

We are very grateful that we got Crystal as our wedding coordinator! We still say she was worth every penny for all the time, stress, and work she saved us. I’m a pretty organized person, so our main concern was the day-​of coordination (so that we could fully enjoy the day) and the design aspect of it all. We believe Crystal’s strength is in design, which is the key reason we chose her. She is also very detail-​oriented, organized, and proactive. We had booked her two years before our wedding date, and got the full package. In those two years, she procured most of our vendors, based on our criteria, and refined our vision. Every single vendor she recommended went above and beyond our expectations, as did she and her team. She was always on top of our month-​to-​month schedule, gently reminding us of what we had left to do. Crystal was never pushy or overbearing — always pleasant, and nudged us in the right direction if we were to go astray. From big things to minor questions, I emailed Crystal constantly. She was always prompt and very thorough when she replies. And she has a good answer to everything wedding related!
Our actual wedding day was as perfect as can be. The timeline Crystal did was flawless, leaving us extra time to absorb and enjoy the day. She coordinated not only the wedding festivities, but also the design element of the day with the vendors — flowers, lighting, floor plans, cake design, and any other detail you can think of. We are still getting compliments on how beautiful the day was and how much fun everybody.

I worked with Crystal and her staff over the weekend at a very High end event, and she not only did a phenomenal job on the décor, but keep pace and helped the event run smoothly throughout the entire night.
There were some decorative elements that I have never seen before, and were nothing short of stunning. She complemented the modern, sheik décor of the Clift hotel with beautiful table designs, centerpieces, and tea candle complements throughout the room. The pattern on the wedding cake matched perfectly with the linens on the table, which is something that tied the room together in a very cool way.
…and what a pleasure to work with. Easy going, cool headed, and ready to help with whatever is needed to ensure a successful event.

I owe it all to Crystal! She literally made me feel like I was a guest at my own wedding. My wedding day turned out even better than I had envisioned it because of her expertise and professionalism. Hiring Crystal turned out to be the best decision I made during the entire process. It was truly refreshing to work with someone who is so professional, organized, efficient, and thoughtful in her work. What I liked best about working with Crystal was that she is personally invested in each event she plans; she goes above and beyond to ensure that the event runs smoothly and beautifully and that everyone — including (and ESPECIALLY) the bride and groom — can enjoy the special day.
I initially retained Crystal for day-​of coordination services for my September 6, 2008 wedding, but she ended up being so much more than a day-​of coordinator. Crystal helped me throughout the entire wedding planning process, from answering etiquette questions, to recommending vendors, to accompanying me and advising me during visits to linen rental companies, to independently meeting with lighting companies and designing the lighting for our event (which was spectacular), to providing design advice, and even creating our escort card board. She has fantastic vision and, through her creativity, was able to completely transform our reception venue from a very typical, somewhat unattractive dining room in a Chinese restaurant to an elegant, intimate space — our guests, many of whom had been to the restaurant before, were blown away by how amazing the room looked. I was very impressed and appreciative of how much work and attention Crystal devoted to our event — it truly reflects her investment in creating a beautiful event, no matter what the effort.
Because of Crystal’s help, I had no worries or concerns on my wedding day — I was able to enjoy every moment, confident that if anything came up, Crystal would take care of it. Our wedding and reception started and ended exactly on time (even our 10 course Chinese banquet came out according to schedule, which is AMAZING for a Chinese restaurant), and I was blown away by the site designs that she had helped create in coordination with our florist and lighting/​linen rental companies. Her demeanor throughout the entire event was calm and professional, never frantic or stressed — it was a pleasure to have her with me throughout the day. I am admittedly a control freak, and I think it speaks volumes that I felt completely at ease in entrusting my wedding day to Crystal and that I was able to completely enjoy the day. I recommend her without reservation.

I never thought that I needed a wedding coordinator, but looking back, there’s no way I could have survived my wedding without Crystal. She was able to make my wedding as stress-​free as possible, and that’s no a small feat.
She worked with all our vendors, making sure that all our contracts were in order and that all our vendors would be wherever they needed to be at the right time. She also planned out the entire wedding day starting from the time I woke up to when we were whisked off to our hotel after the reception.
Some examples of her wonderful wedding coordinator skills:
— She was able to corral my rowdy family and make them pay attention during the rehearsal at the church.
— My then fianc spent months of hard work preparing our slide show. Thank goodness Crystal had backup copies since the first and second CD didn’t work. I know that my hubby would have been so disappointed if we weren’t able to show the slide show to our guests.
— Crystal revealed to us (a year after the wedding) that our church was closed the morning on our wedding. Without Crystal there to chase down someone with a key, our wedding would have taken place at the St. John parking lot.
I really can’t imagine what my wedding day would have turned out to be if Crystal wasn’t there working out the kinks and making sure that everything ran smoothly. I can’t thank her enough for the incredible job she did.
