AMC Eastridge 15

I know it’s the weekend so I understand there are gonna be ALOT of people but i recommend to go elsewhere to catch a movie. Lots of teenagers running in and out of the movie, people talking, people eating. I think what pissed me off the most is when these people talk, they don’t even bother to whisper… wt I know it’s not the theaters fault and they probably can’t really do much about this but take your money to Cupertino amc so you can actually enjoy a movie…

Stay away from this place! Not only is the popcorn and drinks way overpriced and bad tasting, now they are so desperate they are overcharging people for movies. Went there to see the 3D Star Wars at 12:30 and was charged over $ 16 for a 2D version. Complained about 20 minutes in, but manager Shelia said my eyes must be bad. Watched the whole movie without glasses and no problem. Definitely not 3D. After the movie, a few of us discussed and agreed it was not 3D. Another customer said this happens frequently and they will give your money back only if you complain. Asked for manager again and she hid in the back and sent someone else out who said there was a «scheduling error». They only refunded money — not free passes. As we were leaving, ticket taker said they knew it was not 3D BEFORE the movie started. Why didn’t they tell people and refund money. Greed, greed, greed!

Some of the workers are very rude. It is a very long wait for the food. It’s also very dirty. The ground is super sticky, and they do not restock the lids for the drinks.

For the Star Wars debut, the theatres had over 1 hour to prepare the theatre while we were in line. However the moment we got in there was popcorn every wear food on the seats and we could barely sit down without touhing the gross slimy food on the seat. Next time, please clean the theatre guys– it’s your job.

Some Perks | Nice Theater | Good Parking
We had 14 people in our group going to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens première here. This is a large building with lots of screens and a good layout. When we went, it seemed pretty clean compared to most theaters.
Perks:
+allows outside food
+inside the mall right across a food court
+nice stadium seating/​comfy chairs/​enough leg room to let people through to get to their seat
What I found odd was that everyone who was seeing the same movie were told to line up all in ONE line. When your showing was about to start in 20 minutes, they’d filter you out of the large line and let you in the theater room. I don’t know how other theaters do it, but I thought it wasn’t going to work out because they had several workers shouting instructions periodically. Meh, but it worked out.
Lots of parking right outside. No problem.

Eastridge Mall isn’t a great place, nor is it at an ideal location. I found out (at least on weekdays), matinée for this theater is only until 12, where it becomes $ 12 a ticket, until 4pm if you are a student or have a military ID, whereafter you get discounts. That’s sort of ridiculous.
There was pretty poor customer service as well. It was our first time coming here and we had no idea where to go, because the building is huge.
Lastly, the screen of the auditorium had a huge blue area in the middle of it that kinda ruined the movie… making it even more overpriced…
1 star for the cleanliness of the entire building. Seriously, one of the cleanest theaters I’ve ever been in.
The other star is for the quality of everything, besides the screen. Very much above average.

The theatre was dirty as hell. I was watching good dinosaur at 10:40pm in theatre 7 and the floor and chairs were filthy as fudge! The screen had a burn discoloration right in the center of the screen it was blue totally ruined the movie for me! Worst theatre ever. The employees need to take better care of this place!
Managers contacted me as soon as possible after I did a survey. The manager was very respectful and understanding about how my experience was not the best experience I had and is inviting me back to watch a movie on them to get a better experience on my next visit. The managers definitely understand great customer service.

I used to come here all the time because crowds were manageable but recently, Eastridge seems to be getting worse and worse both on the workers side and the customers side. Bathrooms are disgusting and often toilet paper isn’t refilled. Seats get disgusting and floors get sticky.

This is the only theater I go to
But honestly that only reason is because the screens are big.
All the employees are 16 – 20 y/​o, the customer service isn’t great but they do their job.
When I went to watch Jurassic world, it took like 30 mins to get it to start working. But I understand that every movie theater has technical difficulties, so I didn’t complain.
Opening weekends for popular movies get crowded so if you want good seats, I recommend going about 40 mins early before people start lining up.

Average theater.
The size of the theater is extremely big, there are probably 10 theaters in this location, with a bathroom in the front and a bathroom in the back.
Food, of course, is overpriced, but you can get deals if you have the rewards program.
Great location considering how empty East Side San Jose can be.
Go for Matinees! $ 12 for two tickets!
**NOTE: 11:30 PM is their last showing, BUT you must arrive BEFORE 11:30 PM to get into the theater/​buy a ticket. The systems close at 11:30PM, even if you’re 1 or 5 minutes late they won’t let you in.

This is actually one of the better structured theaters I’ve ever been too. It’s basically one long hallway and you don’t really have to make a right or left down a hallway to find your movie as it’s basically a straight line. There are also a few concession stands throughout your walk down the aisle.
Staff was really friendly and the seats were rather comfy which is just the way I like it. Plenty of movie selection and plenty of space. I really didn’t find a single fault in my movie experience in watching Ant-​Man this past Friday.
I’ve only been here three times, which is odd since it’s so close to my house, but I think I’ll be dropping by more often now.

Clean theatre, organized & friendly staff. I like how it’s near the food court so before watching a movie you could grab something to eat there to avoid the over priced food in the theater.
Came here because I was given VIP tickets by Warner Bros for Max and it was an awesome movie!
Would come back to this theater!

IMAX theatre’s. Great audio. Good seating. Popcorn made fresh often. There can be said so much here. Ample parking and close to the food venues. You can spend a good half a day here if you time it right between shopping and relaxing. Come on Saturdays and there is the move able feast outside which has 15 or so food trucks and live music. This is a nice theater. Good comfy seats and a primary location if you are a tourie and in the south of San Jose there are plentiful options but this theater is my top one.

Seats are really comfortable and a lot of leg room. They don’t automatically fold up, but stay flat like regular chairs. It is a huge theatre. They have touch screen self serve icees and sodas, I don’t know if I haven’t gone out much lately but I thought this was so cool. Staff is really nice.
*** I always buy tickets from costco when going to any movie theatre. $ 7 a ticket and you can print from home.

Had the most horrible experience at this AMC theater the floors are sticky and there’s popcorn all over the floors and the registers there’s no manager on duty keeping track of any of there associates… they had no selection of any candy all of it was out of stock… and the popcorn they were serving was stale… and there was garbage all on the register

Last time I was here, I asked for student discount, but we forgot to bring ID. Today, I show my sons ID, guy said only Thursday. He shud had just given us da discount since we were missed informed!

I only come here because it’s close to home, but it’s not my favorite place to catch a flick. I would say the most off putting thing about this theater is how dirty it is… The floors are ALWAYS sticky. The seats are really sticky too. The bathrooms look like they need more TLC and the floors are ALWAYS wet… There’s nothing appealing about coming there due to the filth. but that it’s nearby and I don’t have to travel far.

Got here 15 minutes early to see Jupiter Ascending. Yes I do like the Sci-​fi. It’s my 50 Shades of Grey. Waited in the automated self-​serve ticket line. Out of the few machines available for the large crowd: one needed paper and was out of commission, another was just blank, and there were the last couple of machines to take the slack. I was just thinking that was a minor hiccup until I saw the line for concessions. Wow! Waited until my movie was beginning and then left the line so I wouldn’t miss it. Noticed other people looking at the lines and just heading for the movie.
The good news is that there isn’t a lot of crunching going on during the movie or rattling of wrappers/​and ice in the sodas. I did get kinda irritated that I didn’t get any popcorn or soda but then afterwards I was very happy I dodged the sugar, salt, and carb overload bullet. Woo hoo! It was a win! Leaving the theater I passed the long concession lines again so I wasn’t able to backslide on the salt, sugar and carbs. Win!

I went and caught another movie tonight at the AMC Eastridge 15. It’s in east San Jose inside the Eastridge mall.
Pros: 15 theaters, good sound, comfy seating, staff was very friendly both entering the theater and leaving
Cons: It’s a bit dirtier than some of the other theaters I’ve been to, but nothing too crazy.
I’d come again; it’s a pretty good theater. I’ve also caught two free screenings there which is pretty awesome… but get there early or you won’t get in. Maybe trade off waiting in line and go get food at the food court? Just thinking out loud here… trying to make your life easier. :) Enjoy!

PROS: LOVE the staff!!! LOVE the management! Just because one’s on the «Eastside» of San Jose doesn’t mean anything! Once you enter into the doors of this theater you’re treated like a thousand bucks!
CON’S: There may be some younger employee’s that really need to put their immaturity aside and become full pledge adults while working… DESPITE WHERE YOU WORK… specifically speaking; in the concession area… the management here work VERY hard to make customers happy… Don’t blow it for the rest… Just saying!
