Amir & Ayeh Ghadiri, DMD

I have been seeing Dr. Amir Ghadiri for several years now. I previously was a patient of Dr. Farrington, and when I learned he was retiring and selling his practice, I did not know if I would ever find another dentist who was as good.
Amir has exceeded my expectations in both his dental care and how great his office staff is. I am at ‘that’ point in life when dental work done 20 or 30 years ago unfortunately needs to be redone, and we put together a plan based on my medical needs and dental insurance coverage and have been replacing what needed to be done. His staff is top-​notch from the front office to the dental staff who assist him.
My wife really likes Amir as well and his gentle technique and concern for a zero-​pain office experience.
I would recommend him to my best friend.

Dr. Ghadiri and his staff are amazing! You can trust that you will receive the highest level of care and service from them. I live in San Mateo and there are plenty of dentists there… but I drive all the way to South San Jose to be seen by them for my dental needs. Simply the BEST!

I am a tried and true New Yorker (from isle of Manhattan by way of Brooklyn) who is on assignment for my job in Palo Alto, CA. Having been on the West Coast for about a week and change, I was (and still) adjusting to life out here with driving being the biggest hurdle. I am used to hopping on a subway, jumping into a cab, running to catch the bus or just walking to my destination. Add to that fear that some of the major dental work that my very skilled and amazing dentist/​oral surgeon back in NYC started to turn on me. I am out for a very long stretch of time. When I alerted my doc back home, he wanted to make certain I was going to get the best care and be in the most capable hands to resolve my issue. He reached out to a fellow colleague and former classmate, Dr, Amir Ghadiri. My doc spoke to him and explained my situation.
Pam, doctors’ Ayeh and Amir Ghadiri’s Administrator, had the harrowing task of listening to me panic about my situation and so graciously calmed me down. Pam deserves about 5 gold stars for dealing with me today. I got in the same day I made appointment. Mind you. I was about an hour and change away (at Stanford Medical Center) from their office. Dr. Ayeh saw me and she was wonderful. She has a very calm and caring demeanor. And, most importantly resolved my issue (s) quickly and it was painless. She is not only a physician but an artist. Although I have been seeing my NYC dentist for a while and couldn’t think anyone else could do what he did. Well. she is in a category by herself. Amazing! And this coming from a jaded New Yorker. I am so impressed of the care I received not only from her but her entire staff! A great group of folks. I am indebted to them.
I don’t know if this Unilocal review does what happened today any justice BUT let’s just say the thesaurus doesn’t have enough words to describe excellent!

I recently made the change to Dr Ghadiri’s dental practice. I was not feeling completely satisfied with my existing dentist and Dr Ghadiri was highly recommended to me. I have now visited their practice several times and I am absolutely amazed at how wonderful everyone at this dental office is. From the receptionist to the hygienists and both Dr Ayeh and Dr Amir. I have never felt so well taken care. We all know that no-​one really likes to visit their dentist — but the people at this practice actually make it an enjoyable and warming experience.
Both Dr’s are very experienced and you know right away they are confident in what they are doing. They take the time to explain what is wrong and ensure you understand everything while they recommend treatments. I found them to be very genuine and have my best interests at heart — unlike some dentists I have visited in the past. Far more skilled and have further training than a lot of general dentists you will find.
The office surroundings are lovely and the technology they use is the most up-​to-​date and makes the visit very efficient. I had never before seen a lot of the technology they use and the visual screens helped me better understand the problems I had with my teeth/​mouth.
I found them to be great at fitting me in for appointments that suited my schedule. Easy to find the office and plenty of parking right outside.
Overall, I gave them 5 stars. I am so glad I moved to be a patient at this practice and I would highly recommend anyone looking for a new dentist to give them a try. You wont be disappointed.

About 2 years ago, the husband and wife team of Drs Amir and Ayeh Ghadiri bought the practice of our long-​time dentist, Richard Farrington.
Dr Farrington was like the famous TV doctor of the 1970s, Marcus Welby. His manner was so soothing he could almost say «you’re going to die» and your response would be «is that all»? Good dentists… people who are knowledgeable, skilled, reasonably priced, friendly and understand the meaning of pain. are difficult to find. We were sorry to see him retire.
Amir and Ayeh Ghadiri seem very well versed in their field. They updated the technology used to examine everything related to dentistry and can illustrate and discuss the results of a digital x-​ray within a minute of taking it. No more waiting. I remember the days (many years ago) when you’d need to return the following week to review an x-​ray!
More and faster information is great. It’s what you do with it which can raise an alarm.
Dr Farrington was vigilant. If you needed to have work done by him or another specialist, like a periodondist, he’d recommend it. So I usually had 1 or 2 things to watch or fix each year.
When Dr Ghadiri took over (I mainly saw Amir), problems suddenly appeared everywhere. Crowns needed to be redone… fillings replaced… new root canal surgery. Was he simply more aggressive and wanted to stay ahead of possible problems or building a book of business? My wife and I became quite hesitant to visit the office. Ever drive in for an oil change and drive out with a new car?
The capper came when my wife had a recurrence of TMJ, a jaw problem affecting her ability to eat without pain. She originally met with a noted specialist in July 2011. His treatment was successful, but the problem reappeared early in 2014. During a regular visit with the dental hygenist, she asked Dr Amir about the situation. He diagnosed it as a sprained muscle and realigned a dental «brace» (worn at night). After 3 months, the pain remained so my wife went back to the specialist who took x-​rays and said it was left TM joint inflammation. Nothing to do with a sprained muscle. The specialist advised her to see a physical therapist with expertise in that area. My wife did so and noticed significant improvement after several sessions.
Fortunately, at least one of the dental hygienists employed by Dr Farrington is still available… Katarina Fandli. She’s got such a light soothing touch I often don’t know when the work is done. And Katarina’s one of the most delightful people you’ll meet. That’s the greatest loss we’ll feel moving onto to another dentist.
Another smart move by Drs Ghadiri was to keep Dr Farrington’s front office staff, led by Mary and Pam. They’re efficient, friendly and understand the occasional need to reschedule appointments. When Dr Farrington recommended a more specialized dentist, those women coordinated that visit with copies of the appropriate x-​rays before I was even out of the patient’s chair.
So, with some sadness, my wife and I must bid adieu to Drs Ghadiri, Katarina and the administrative helpers and seek dental care elsewhere.

Dr’s Amir and Ayeh Ghadiri helped me when I was visiting family in California. They are very caring doctors who helped me with my wisdom teeth. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. I highly recommend them!!!

I stayed with Dr. Amir & Ayeh Ghadiri after Dr. Farrington retired. They are amazing, and I’m so happy I stayed. I always have a great experience with new, up to date technology. I always see Zef for my cleaning, he’s wonderful, personable and efficient. The office coordinators are always easy to get in touch with, and easy to work with when it comes to scheduling. I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a professional, pleasant, easy, effective and efficient Dental Practice!

Very courteous and friendly, respectful staff. Everyone knows your name kinda place. The Dr.‘s Ghadiri are very informative and using new technology in a very patient friendly manner. Been a patient with Dr. Farrington for a while, and I will be staying with the new doctors and the same amazing staff.

I was a patient of Dr. Farrington’s. Dr’s Amir and Ayeh Ghadiri came highly recommended by him and that was good enough for me. Before coming to Dr. Farrington, I had terrible experiences with dental work as a child. Finding a GREAT dentist was imperative for me. I surely found the right ones at this office. Dr. Amir is gentle and kind and has a great sense of humor. He understands my anxiety and goes out of his way to make sure I’m comfortable and have enough time to prepare for procedures. He’s up to date on all the newest technology. His office staff is the BEST! Mary and Pam have helped so much in submitting insurance forms and finding out how best to coordinate my benefits. They do their very best to fit you in for appointments if you have an immediate concern. I don’t know what I would do without them! It’s fun to see all the latest and greatest technologist being used at this office. The Dr. is able to show you the condition of your teeth using computer. They are very good at explaining their approach to your dental treatment and why things are needed. I’m so comfortable there… it’s means everything to TRUST your dentist and that I do! I HIGHLY recommend them. I myself am a nurse… very fussy about who I go to.

I had four wisdom teeth which I was nervous about having worked on since they were growing out and compacted. It was becoming extremely painful and unbearably distressful making it really difficult to work. I spoke to Dr. Amir and he said he would take care of it for me with ease. Prior to speaking to him, I had quotes and paperwork from a few other dentists but none of them made me feel more comfortable with the operation like Dr. Amir. I went in for an examination and then went in for extraction the following week. One of them was so compacted but Dr. Amir took care of it diligently. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Amir to anyone!

Dr Amir and his entire practice and staff, is by far the best D.M.D I have ever been too. Their office is amazingly High-​Tech, allowing you instant visuals of your teeth, on a HD screen, even instant X-​ray procedures are comfortable, quick & most of all precise. This technology and precision has completely restored my faith in Dentists again. He’s repaired a multitude of mistakes with unmatched precision, from my previous dentists, which caused me countless days in severe pain. Dr Amir & Ayeh have completely earned my trust, which is not done easily.
But none of that can even begin to describe Dr Amir himself. He is a sincere & genuine man that truly takes a absolute interest in me and my overall life. He makes me feel like a friend & not just another patient. He goes out of his way at every opportunity to help me in any way he can. My last appt with him, he took the time to refer me to a pain management facility for a completely unrelated physical & non-​dental issue. Dr Amir & his wife Ayeh truly care about me & my overall well being. I can’t recommend him more & I am most grateful for everything they’ve done and will continue to do for me. I am so glad I found them before I lost almost all faith in Dentistry. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

These dentists are a rare find! They are the true meaning of a doctor… Caring for people, patient, and working with your situation to find a solution that’s right for you. They saw my husband at the drop of a hat for an emergency on our honeymoon and were incredibly compassionate us. Dr. Amir also went above and beyond to make my grandma comfortable after she fractured her tooth on his day off. I cannot even say how impressed I am with their practice!
