AW Collision of San Jose

The man who worked on my Lexus had told me this was only wax and would come off. Turns out it won’t come off. Great jobs guys, you really disappointed me. I can’t believe Lexus of Stevens Creek referred me you A&W Collision. This is a warning to anyone who is going to take their cars here, Don’t! I will be calling to arange an appointment to fix the damages A&W Collison have cause. Damage: 1. Large scratch to the new bumper. 2. «Wax» mark which won’t come off of plastic. 3. Marking on the leather seats. 4. Marking to the trunk.
AS A REMINDER, THIS IS A NEW VEHICLE WITH 500 MILES.
The marking on the leather seats looks as if A&W Collision likes to take their customers’ vehicles on joyrides. Very disappointed. I WOULD GIVE THEM A 0 STAR RATING IF POSSIBLE!

I was rear-​ended on the freeway and the damage to my bumper was pretty bad. Hector was a big help in coordinating my repairs. I had an awesome experience with AW Collision. They did the work fast, kept me updated on the work, and worked seamlessly with my insurance company so that i didn’t have to get involved (i’ve had some bad experiences with this before). Also, Hector went above and beyond for me to help get our some hard water stains that destroyed my front bumper, grille, hood and fenders. When i got my baby back in about 3 short days, she was good as new. They even did a 6 month check up to make sure everything was still perfect.

John, the shop manager, saw my review here and called me back to discuss it. First of all, let me say he’s a very nice guy. He apologized for the time waste, and assured me that he followed up with both of the supervisors involved to ensure such an issue doesn’t happen again. He said that I should have escalated the issue to him as soon as I didn’t get enough traction from the supervisors and he would have made sure this was never a problem.
I really appreciated John’s follow up, he really understands good customer service. John also asked me how to fairly make it up to me, he really cared about rectifying the lackluster experience I initially had. I wasn’t expecting anything honestly, but I told him I think it’s fair to give me 20% off on the parts, which is the amount I would have saved if I had ordered the parts online. He immediately agreed, and mailed me a check with the discount.
Really A+ for John.

I took my Lexus to the shop after getting into an accident on 12÷11÷15. I dropped it off on ¹²⁄₁₂ and contacted the office myself on following Monday after I spoke with my insurance adjuster and the receipt of the repair estimate. I was told that my car should be ready by Christmas once all the parts were ordered (the same week). I should have asked Christmas of which year.
It all went downhill after the first week. The person I was assigned to went on vacation and did not bother to let me know a supplemental piece was being requested. The adjuster would have to re-​inspect the car, approve parts and then additional parts would have to be ordered. This all happened during the end of December.
The biggest issue I had is that all but 2 phone calls were initiated by me in regards to status updates on my car. No one called to keep me informed about what was going on or give me an estimated time for completion. My car was completed on 1÷11÷16 and had to be returned for a full day the following week because they needed to buff it and get rid of scuff marks.
The completed version looks great, can’t complain about the finished product. When you are in business dealing with people; good communication and customer service is a MUST! AW Collision has a lot of work to do in that department.

Thanks Hector and team for an amazing job on my IS 250! You guys got the job done within 2 days!

I got back my car, they did really fantastic job. None of my friends believe that my car went through a major accident. Great job AW collision! I am really happy to work with Mr. Aaron, he was really helpful throughout the process.
It seems the problem #1 in my previous review is not fixed yet. But I got answer for my #2 concern.
So far I am happy with their service and I recommend others to take their car to this place.

They are currently fixing my car. Stevens Creek BMW recommended me to take my BMW to their place. So far they are prompt to their works. Following are the reason why I am taking away 2 stars.
1. The number in their website is not in service. Seriously? Also in Certification page, the page layout kind of screwed. You cannot see any BMW certification/​affiliation info in their website. After collision I want want to take my car to a BMW certified/​affiliated collision center. I really love my car and want to take her back to that level when she first came out from the factory. :P
2. The guy who is taking care of my car, he said they are BMW certified collision center in San Jose. Their guys are certified by BMW. Then I once called AW collision again and asked the receptionist if they are BMW certified or not. She forwarded my call to another guy and he said they are not BMW certified. He also said they are recommended by Stevens Creek BMW but they are not BMW certified. Now I am confused who is right. I lost my trust on these guys. Either the second guy doesn’t know or the the guy who is in charge of my car is telling lie. Now even I am thinking to take car to other place.
Can someone (who is from AW collision) confirm me if they are certified or affiliated or not?

I had my lexus repaired here and they did a fine job. Everything was brought back to original specifications, and the vehicle looks like new.
Carmen Santos took care of us and kept us informed every step of the way and even went above and beyond to help me understand the insurance implications of having been in an accident.

I hit a raccoon when I was driving on CA-​108 near Yosemite. My front bumper was cracked badly. Vince helped me checked up the damage and quickly figured out the plan. Later, they did in depth check up and found some internal damages as well. I am glad they did not just quickly cover the problems up but solved the issue thoroughly. I am also very pleased with my insurance company Progressive, all the processes are very smooth!

The Lexus dealer introduced them to me. Their repair quality is OK, but their management is so bad. I repaired my Lexus RX
350 in the shop two times. The first time, they crushed a new nick after repair the old one. The second time, I lost my sunglasses that I locked in the passenger seat box. Bad bad people! I won’t go to in the future.
After two month, they contact me and communicate with me about my experience. They research my situation in detail. Their manager said sorry to me, and give me money back for my sunglasses. I really felt good.

Got a really bad accident on my M3 so I took my baby to Stevens creek BMW and they transferred my car to AW collision as they are partners.
It took 3 weeks in total to repair my car (in the middle the car stayed for more than a week at the Stevens creeks for front lamp replacement) and AW really did a great job of replacing my hood, front bumper, installing all the interior parts like cooler, fans. Now it’s like a brand new one again!
Moreover, I would like to thank Aaron for being so patient to answer all my questions, calling me from time to time to update me with the latest progress and help me go through the entire repair.

Recently brought my vehicle in for rear bumper repairs after being rear ended. I worked with Hector throughout the whole process. My experience was painless, got the estimate, dropped the car, car was ready when promised, and returned looking much nicer then when I left it. Couldn’t have asked for anything more! Thank you Hector and thank you AW Collision. Will be back in the future if I need any repairs made.

WOW! WOW! WOW! AMAZING! BMW Z4 looks like it’s new!
I sadly have had to go to over 10 body shops in the past two years. I have a crazy attention to detail and every little scratch I get on my car I immediately get fixed.
There has yet to be a single body shop that was able to do what these guys did! For the first time I felt like a human and not a paycheck to the body shop! For the first time I was able to pick up my car and find ZERO problems with their work. For the first time I felt like the body shop was working for me, as a customer and not just for the money and to get the job done.
Gilbert Mendoza was the gentleman who took care of me. He answers his emails promptly or with in 24, 100% of the time. Whenever I left a voice mail he always called back. He is what a call «A true professional» this guy respects his job, his clients and attended to my every need.
I came down to the office twice in the duration of my car being repaired, both times he didn’t know I was coming and both times he made time to show me the car and explain where it is in the process. Just by sitting in the waiting area you can tell that everyone else there hold themselves to the same standards as Gilbert, they are extremely polite when talking to other clients and among themselves!
They have all the skills, connection, and tools needed to do their job, and they do a great one!
I would highly recommend anyone who’s looking for quality service and for amazing prices to check this place out!

I was recently in a car accident — my car was rear ended by another motorist. My friend referred me to AW with a strong recommendation.
I was taken cared of by Hector, who explains, in detail, the process and the work that will be done on the car. He handled all the work from that point on, and returned the car in excellent condition, on time. In addition, the shop works with the rental car company like a team, which makes the whole process seamlessly.
High recommendation of AW if you need your car to be worked on!

I had someone merge into me from the back passenger side on the highway, I have a 328i fully loaded with the M package and it had the custom M color which is very hard and almost impossible for shops to match. I initially ended up at this shop because they are at BMW Stevenson Creek and are certified by them. I read Unilocal reviews and decided to go for it. I am SO HAPPY I DID! They ordered all OEM parts from Germany, their work was incredible, car looks like it came from the factory again. Aaron Munoz truly went above and beyond, if you get in an unfortunate accident do yourself a favor and NEVER take your car anywhere else but this place :) THANK YOU Aaron and anyone else who worked on my car.

There is no need for workers to be searching the cars inside compartments when all you’re doing is fixing a broken mirror. Tell me why there are CDs from the driver side compartment all over the back seat when they were fixing the passenger side mirror? My buddy even warned me because his wife’s expensive sunglasses were stolen. Go here at your own risk.

Incredible auto-​collision repair!!! This is where I would only recommend anyone to having their vehicles repaired. The service representatives are very thorough one-​on-​one with their clients with the logistics and communicate effectively with the status of their customers vehicle’s progress.
I highly recommend working alongside with the Asst Mngr, Aaron Munoz, a true and kind gentleman who will ensure his clients are fully satisfied with the service and work repair. I recently had the misfortune of being in an accident in my wife’s ’08 Honda Accord. I contacted our dealer’s service department to ask if they did body work there. They informed me that they take all of their work to AW Collision. I called for a tow truck and told them I was taking the car to AW. The driver said he knew exactly where it was and that I was going to one of the best places he knew. This was totally unsolicited and gave me a little more confidence in the shop.
As soon as I arrived at the shop (within an hour of the accident), Carmen Santos was assigned to handle everything. She looked at the car and gave me her initial appraisal and said she would work closely with our insurance company. She asked if I needed a rental and put me in touch with Enterprise, who also handled all of the insurance billing. I contacted my insurance agent and they assigned an adjuster to the case.
During my first conversation with him, the adjuster said he knew AW and Carmen and assured me that if anyone could fix it, it was AW Collision. Our adjuster worked with Carmen through the holidays to assure that everything was rolling along. Carmen provided me with updates every few days. If it was just an update, I received an email. If she needed something right away, she called.
The level of service that was provided by Carmen and AW Collision is beyond compare. The fact that I got unsolicited reassurances that this was the place to take our car, left me feeling totally confident in the decision to take it here. You don’t ever want to have to take your car to a body shop, but if you have to, AW Collision is my recommendation.

I just brought my yellow 2011 BMW Z4 in to have Hector take a look at it and see why the front bumper has been put on crooked twice.
Hector was amazing. He was excellent at actually EXPLAINING everything he was looking at and what needed to be done on a component by component level. It’s really nice when I’m treated like an intelligent equal. Most shops never bothered to tell me what was going on or what needed to be fixed.
He even showed me some of their procedures in the back, which was awesome. I’m in no rush and I feel confident that AW Collision takes pride in their work.
