Oren is great! It is not a natural thing for people to be in front of a camera but he has this great calmness and friendly personality that helps make it feel more natural and comfortable. He is extremely knowledgeable about lighting and what would make the best shot. I would totally trust Oren and AwesomeShot Studios with special events, interviews, or anything that could be needing a videographer. Really really great to work with!

As a wedding DJ and vendor I feel I know quality when I see it. I know that I am personally very proud of my review, especially here on Unilocal where you can’t edit what people say about you, and let me tell you that Oren lives up to his reputation. And I am not saying this due to a long vendor relationship, but, rather, because I saw Oren’s talent first hand.
Everything he was doing the day of the wedding was top notch and professional. I constantly saw him smiling, enjoying getting the right shot, but without being in the way or the center of attention, and, as a co-​worker he was a delight to work with.
All of this is great for a service, but what is often overlooked in service-​based fields is that a videographer (much like your DJ, photographer, and florist) has to bring more to the table than just service, they must have TALENT! Oren is an EXTREMELY talented videographer as well as a creative video editor. His shots are clean, focused and with great lighting, and his video edits are thrilling and entertaining. I only know this because we had so much fun working together that he took it upon himself to also get shots of me and send me a nice little demo clip after the event.
Thank you Oren for being not just a stand up person who is talented, but a thoughtful and creative artist as well! Can’t wait to work with you again!

My wife and I got married Sept 8^th, and about 3 weeks prior to our wedding we found enough in the budget to hire a videographer for our ceremony. My wife did some looking around and found Oren, and I can say that I wish we had him for the entire wedding evening.
We met with Oren at his home office, and he displayed some of his works that we were impressed by. He is a true professional that has been in the business for years, so the combination of experience and knowledge shows in his work. Although he is only one person, he uses multiple camera’s to capture different angles and creates the feeling of teams of people rather than one, which I found amazing. Even better was his rates. I feel, in hindsight, many people overprice their services because they can take advantage of newly engaged couples that think price is equal to quality. I can say that if you put a price on Orens service it would be out of «normal» peoples range. However, he offered a great rate for what we were looking for and we locked him up.
On our wedding day he was there early and left late, capturing some of the other events that we didn’t expect, and are now extremely thankful for. He was very professional in his demeanor, and I would hire him again in a second. I have yet to see the final DVD, and will update this again when I do, but if it is anything like the rest of his service I expect a flawless video that will bring tears to my wifes again.

What can I say about Oren? First of all, he is very very nice. I didn’t even get a chance to meet him in person before I signed with him as I live in Chicago, but he was so patient and gave me genuine advice on finding the best photographer for my venue. He didn’t pressure me to sign with him at all, but I am very glad I did! The day of was chaos. And we didn’t even notice Oren until the near the end of the night! That’s how low key he was. When we finally saw the video, we were stunned at his editing genius. He took shots we didn’t realize even happened at our wedding, and his highlight reel was as my brother said «very powerful.» :)
Oren is extremely talented and very sweet. He understands how important this is to his customers and does everything in his power to ensure our happiness until the very end.

From our initial coffee shop meeting to the final tapes, we couldn’t have asked for a better wedding videographer than Oren from Awesomeshot Studios.
I researched a lot of Bay Area videographers. On one end of the spectrum, you’ve got those who want to post-​process the crap out of your wedding into a cliched Hollywood movie (with the budget to match). On the other end, there are the amateurs who give you cookie-​cutter results and don’t even shoot in HD (someone honestly told me «Brides think it makes them look too cold»).
Oren was perfect. He listened to what we wanted, gave us advice when we needed it, and had the technical expertise to make sure everything was perfectly captured (including separate audio feeds to capture the most important parts). And we didn’t have to worry about anything on our wedding day — he was always there, ready to go. His prices were extremely reasonable and fair; you would be hard-​pressed to find a better value, especially where we were married — up in wine country.
The cinematography was exceptional, documenting our day while having a distinctly professional feel (including some great pans and establishing shots of the vineyard). Since I’m comfortable with Final Cut, we decided to forgo editing and do it on our own — but even so, Oren went above and beyond and still made us a great highlight reel!
The best advice I can give is to check out Oren’s portfolio of work on his website and see if it feels like the right fit for you. After our first meeting, our gut reaction was that Oren was a great match — and our instincts proved to be right.

Admittedly, I was one of those brides who thought a wedding video is about as cheesy as it gets. I couldn’t have been more wrong. After interviewing many videographers, it took a five minute phone call for me to realize that I really wanted Oren with us documenting our wedding day. So many videographers tried to sell us over sized packages full of stuff we didn’t want. Oren, on the other hand, said: I want to give you a record of the day that captures everything you want to remember. I felt totally confident hiring him from across the country, and have been extremely impressed. He was invisible that day — and I mean that as a compliment! Having a videographer was not something that I was going to invest in for our wedding. After numerous conversations with family and friends I was convinced that this was something that I should defiantly have. I found Oren quite by chance as he was listed on an online questionnaire option that my photographers sent me about my wedding vendors. Not really knowing where to begin I looked up his website and a few others and the work that Oren has posted there convinced me that he was the one to hopefully work with. I expressed to him over the phone my needs and that this was something that I really hadn’t even budgeted for in my wedding plans. He gave me several custom options based upon what I wanted and what I could afford, not to mention he was available on my date. I booked him immediately! It’s been three weeks since our wedding and we are anxiously awaiting our DVD, but if it’s anything like our highlight clip that he posted on his blog, it’s going to be spectacular. Looking back on it now having Oren there to document our wedding was the best decision we made. Oren you were so great to work with and we were so happy that you were there to capture our big day!

Oren of AwesomeShot Studios shot our company video and exceeded our expectations. He was so easy to work with. He also has a great sense of humor and was a lot of fun to be around. On the day of the shoot Oren was very punctual and came armed with an amazing collection of video cameras and lighting equipment. The whole production was very impressive. Both my partner and I get nervous in front of cameras but somehow Oren was able to take what we gave him and turn it into an amazing «get to know you» video for our business. We were absolutely floored by his editing genius. We’ve received so many complements on our video. My husband Jeremy and I hired AwesomeShot Video for our wedding in September 2009. From the first interaction, Oren was professional and responsive. He clearly explained our options, benefits of each, and allowed us to make well-​informed choices for our wedding videography plan.
The excellent customer service wasn’t even the best part! On our wedding day, Oren was punctual and polished. He was able to completely capture the event from pre-​ceremony through dinner and dancing without being a distraction or obstructive. We were married at City Hall in San Francisco. Oren took beautiful shots inside and outside of the magnificent building and included the footage in the intro and ending montage. It was a sunny day in San Francisco and the building looks just amazing.
Between the ceremony and reception, we chartered a double decker bus to take our guests across Golden Gate Bridge. Oren accompanied the guests and captured vignettes from our friends and families. We were so surprised when we watched the DVD and heard all of the stories and nice compliments! At the reception after about 3 hours of open bar, several people gave drunken toasts, and the footage is excellent. Oren passed a mic around to capture the stories and well wishes. The audio throughout the ceremony and reception is perfect. Oren used music from the playlist we created for our reception, which really added a nice element from the wedding. Be sure to send him a handful of songs you want included! The only complaint we have about the video is that we wish we would’ve given Oren more songs to overlay.
The final product was expertly edited, entertaining, and the perfect memento from the wedding. We love our photos as well, but the video takes us right back to the wonderful experience of our wedding and celebration. If we had to do it all over again, we’d definitely hire AwesomeShot Video.

Oren is a caring and great person in general. I wish I had used him for my son’s first birthday party but decided to go with a corporate video company because of a truly horrible experience with an independent videographer I found on Craigslist mainly because it was my daughters 3RD bday and did not want to spend too much money on a videographer. I was skeptical of going with an independent videographer because I was afraid that i would not get my video. At the time, I was going through hell with the Craigslist videographer who after 3 months failed to deliver my daughter’s birthday video and did not respond to any of my inquiries both by email or phone. Since I already paid him in full, I was very worried that he would never give me the video.
I decided at the time that I really needed to find myself a reliable and reputable videographer. After a thorough Internet search, I narrowed it down to two videographers, Oren and
. Individual vs large corporation. Both had good reviews and the prices were the same.
Because I was going through an ordeal with the Craigslist videographer, I decided to go with the corporation because i figured that I could always get a hold of a customer service rep and it would be easier to dispute if they failed to provide my video.
When I emailed Oren to let him know the reason why I chose a corporate videography service, he understood and offered to help me get the my daughter’s video. He called the Craigslist videographer and was able to get a hold of him and a week later, I received my daughter’s video. He helped me out of the kindness of his heart and I really appreciate that.
Oren was able to successfully get my video because he is actually the president of BAPVA an organization that reputable videographers belong to. If I had known this, I would have went with Oren instead of ThePros.
Definitely will hire Oren next time I need a videographer.

Oren is the best!!! We did not budget for a videographer when we started planning our wedding, but when we met Oren and saw his work we knew we had to have him!!! He’s more than a Videographer in sooo many ways, you just have to go meet him and you will see! Not only is he an awesome and very creative person who listens to what you want and expect, but he turns all the boring average details into something magical and simply classic and beautiful! My wedding was 100x more fabulous on his video because of Oren and I am truely blessed to have had him there with us! My guests loved Oren too!!! He never intruded on anyone and made everyone so happy and comfortable to talk into his camera (which is one of my fav parts of my wedding video) Oren is so patient and kind to deal with all my «what ifs» and «can you edit that and show me please?» even at the end of my wedding when I’m sure he was exhausted with me, even though he never let me know, he let me steal him away for one last interview and was completely professional the entire time! The best part was as soon as we got home from our honeymoon I had a rough draft of my video ready to edit omg that was so wonderful! Most people wait until their 1 year anniversary to see their wedding video so I was so pleased. And then he created a highlight video and posted it to my Facebook so I could share with all my friends and family omg it made everyone cry! Oren is a wonderful artist and does a fantastic job of creating a masterpiece that you will cherish forever. If you don’t think you need a videographer, you might be right — but you will always need Oren!!! I highly recommend Oren @ AwesomeShot Studios!

I really recommend that anyone having a wedding also get a videographer. It really captures so much of the ‘story’ of the wedding in addition to the traditional still photographs.
We thought that Oren did an excellent job with our wedding video. Everyone has been so incredibly impressed by the quality and thoughtfulness of his work, especially the ‘highlights’ video that he posted just the day after! (I can’t believe he was able to turn it out so fast!) It was so fun to watch it the next day with my new husband.
Oren made so much more than just a video, as it was a mini-​movie production, with tasteful editing and selection of accompanying music. I heard from more than one person that our highlights video brought them to the verge of tears because they were so moved!
When we met w/​Oren, we really liked his laid back and comfortable personality. About 1 week before the wedding I did have to call him to go over the logisitics again (which made me slightly concerned that I hadn’t heard from him earlier), but I really didn’t have anything to be worried about.
Oren was punctual, non-​intrusive, professional, friendly, accomodating and worked well with our photographers and DJ. We were totally blown away by the quality of his work. He was so talented w/​piecing the video together and the editing. He has a great eye, and picked the perfect music. I highly recommend him for his high quality work and prompt finished product!

The best part of working with Oren was his laid back style. During our crazy wedding day, Oren was very easy to work with — asking questions at appropriate times and not being intrusive. After hearing stories from friends about other pushy videographers, we were very grateful to have Oren along on our special day. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Oren — videographer extraordinaire — in two capacities. I first lucked out in hiring Oren for a four day corporate training event my firm was conducting over six years ago. He immediately struck me as professional, thoughtful, attentive to what we were asking for, and affable. I enjoyed talking with him during breaks and at the end of each business/​shooting day of this event. He did an excellent job with our video requests.
During this same period, I was prepping for my wedding and learned that Oren also specialized in wedding videography. I recall joking with him that a photographer alone was all we needed and I wouldn’t want to turn the wedding into something «cheesy» on video (I’d seen several I hated.) Thankfully he wasn’t insulted by my insensitive comment! He gently observed that photography was wonderful and served one important purpose, but it wasn’t going to capture the sound of the music as we danced our first dance, or the look of my Mom as she wiped away happy tears, etc. Doh! You should have seen my face… he had me at «your Mother’s tears.»
He was right, of course. I love our wedding photos, taken by a family friend/​photographer, but I love Oren’s video of our day more. He set the tone in this video with wonderful music and a terrific mix of both classic and non-​traditional shots, catching unusual details that I adored, like the grapes on a vine covered gate at the entry to the winery, hands clasped behind a bridesmaid’s back as she waited to be photographed, or my favorite — a close-​up on my Mom and Uncle’s fancy footwork as they blew everyone away with a fast jitterbug on the dance floor (that my Uncle died a month later made that moment even more touching).
I’m a believer. Yes, wedding videos are a precious document of your day and YES, Oren makes the kind of video you will hope for and be thankful for. I couldn’t have asked for someone I trust more, and have since hired Oren again for future work related video projects. Wow! What an awesome shot! The name of Oren’s company describes his work perfectly. I just got married on Aug. 2, 2008 and I was hesitant in hiring a videographer. I already had a photographer and I thought that would be sufficient, I was so wrong! My husband and I are glad we took our wedding planner’s advice and hired Oren. We were extremely busy during the ceremony and reception that we missed so much of what was going on. After all the events are over, you really don’t remember too much and it seems like it goes by so fast. It is nice to have such a beautiful video that will remind us of our special day. I can’t rave more about Oren’s work. He is a pleasure to work with and delivers a great product. His editing skills are fantastic and he really captured the beauty and emotions of our event. My advice: Don’t skimp on the videographer, use Awesome Shot Studios, you won’t regret it!

My husband and I decided to hold a small reception for 60 close friends and relatives in our backyard in SF. It was not a large space and our families were meeting each other for the first time! Oren was wonderful! He managed to get everyone working together to create a beautiful, intimate video of our occasion. His action shots, detail shots, and intimate moments caught made our video what it was. He chose the right music for the background. I found myself laughing and crying while watching it. It wasn’t your ordinary wedding video, it was entertaining and visually creative. We would hire Oren again in a flash;-) and will when another important little event comes along, hopefully soon!

I checked out quite a few videographers for our wedding (Sept 2006), and Oren was the only one who really was a good stylistic fit for my taste. Our wedding video, which has a long and short version, turned out a timeless classic and we are very happy with the results. Here is a summary of what I liked about working with him:

for the video.
* i gave him some guidance for the music but no specific songs, and he made excellent choices.
* extremely professional and low-​maintenance the day-​of the wedding.
* he sent us a draft video, we had a follow-​up call where i made a few
change requests (asked for more shots of our guests and one different song), and then we had the final version just a week or so later with the changes that we wanted.
* the video itself is classy and elegant — everyone loves it.
* great prices for the quality of the product.
