This place was closed on a Wednesday 12÷30÷15. I was in town from Los Angeles and wanted to buy some Momotaro denim. A little disappointing. They put a paper sign saying closed Wednesdays effective 8⁄15 so don’t waste your time believing the hours listed on Unilocal,Google, or even their own Facebook page, call ahead before going to make sure a human is there, because the recorded message hasn’t been updated either!

This store carries the best Japanese denim brands for Raw Denim, Sanforized (pre-​shrunk), unsanforized Japanese denim. The customer service is amazing. They just want to make sure you find the right pair. And if they don’t have it, no issues at all.
They were extremely helpful and I tried on 8 pairs of jeans to find the right one. Most of the jeans were suggested by the store manager to try on. So, it went from trying just 2 – 3 pairs to 8 pairs.
The brands they carry are Momotaro, Japan Blue, Railcar, etc…
Definitely drop by if you are interested in buying top denim from Japan.

AZUKI carries premium denim that I haven’t really seen around the Bay Area. The employees have a lot of knowledge of the products that they sell which is pretty helpful when deciding on which denim would cater to your body type. They have AZUKI tees/​tanks/​sweaters that are really nice. The boutique is smaller than their former location, but I like it a lot more. They have their own parking lot also (located inside of the esplanade) so it isn’t hard to find parking. Another plus is that the employees don’t just sit and say «what’s up,» they give you genuine customer service and like to know more about their clientele. I hope to see more great things from them in the future.

Azuki Clothing Co is a premier denim boutique in San Jose, CA, highlighting some cream of the crop brands that are unique to the area. They also have their in-​house brand and original custom pieces as well. The entire shop was custom built from the ground up to give it that nice vintage feel. Azuki is a new addition to the outskirts of Japantown San Jose.
Be aware that the shop is a bit hard to find. It is inside the Esplanade Apartment complex around the corner from the convenient store that faces Taylor St.
