This is just a review on the service. I called at 3:30pm, since they didn’t close till 6pm I thought I could ask a quick question about purchasing 6 pies. I called 6 times, and NO one answered. Needless to say I went elsewhere.

I’m guessing they don’t actually bake fresh every morning. I remember talking with the counter gal one time here and she mentioned the baker gal comes in super early and wasn’t currently there. I bought some cupcakes that time and they were good. I call this morning before 10am to see if there is any chance I can get a simple 6″ banana cake for my birthday tomorrow and am told no, «there is a 2 day notice required for all pre-orders». No chance at all to get a simple cake? «No but we have banana cupcakes with cream cheese frosting right now». Gee, so I can go buy leftover at least day old cupcakes tomorrow but no chance for a fresh cake. I know this is a small local owned place, and I really like to support local places but this was such a rude brush off. Small local owned places are usually known for their customer service and this place just lost a customer for life.

Pretty good bakery, off by itself on the outskirts of Willow Glen. Came to pick up cupcakes for my friend’s birthday brunch, and was really curious to try their guava cupcakes. I tried a little one for a $ 1 before I bought any, and it was a bit denser than I had imagined, but good. The guava flavor is not as strong as I had imagined, but still tasty. I bought 3 guava cupcakes and 3 red velvets. They put 3 in a box, and I was worried they would smash into each other, but luckily they didn’t. The red velvet was actually a bigger hit than the guava, I felt there was definitley more flavor. Great little spot to pick up treats.

I was quite impressed with this little bakery in Willow Glen! I was looking for somewhere new to try for pies, and found this place on Unilocal and thought I’d give it a shot. I needed pies for Sunday, and gave them a call on Saturday. Although, it through me off a little when I couldn’t reach someone there on Saturday, I left a voicemail and they called me back within the hour. They recommend you calling 48 hours in advance for pie orders, but he was super helpful and said they’d be able to accommodate my order for Sunday. I like that! The pies were very good! Pecan and pumpkin were a hit. So were the gingerbread cookies. I’ll definitely be going back, anxious to try their cupcakes!

A solid Chocolate Chiffon Cupcake. The cake was moist, light, and not as rich as I’d like but the chocolate buttercream frosting was sweet, dense, and smooth. I was surprised to see the price — only $ 2.75 each! I noticed that they have mini cupcakes called«Bits» for just a dollar each. I enjoyed the Chocolate Walnut Biscotti. I finally don’t have an extremely rock hard piece of cantuccini that would crumble endlessly after each bite. It was not sweet, it contained enough chocolate to satisfy the chocolate lovers and the walnut provided the nice crunch. What I loved most is the service. The gentleman working behind the counter knows his baked goods and speaks passionately about them. A lot of people work because they have to because let’s face it, we all have bills to pay but interacting w/someone that is happy about being at work is a rarity.

The service was nice. The cupcakes and sweets… were not. I thought the cupcakes were VERYDENSE and heavy. The cream was not light and fluffy. The lemon bar was overly dry. Then again, my girlfriend makes the best lemon bars I’ve ever tasted. She’s not a great baker, but this is probably her«one thing she can make well.» So, I guess I hold lemon bars to an unnatural caliber…

Their Chocolate Chip Cookies are the best! They’re thick and soft in the center, my favorite type of cookie. You can taste the pure flavors of homemade lusciousness. The people there are always so nice, which makes going there such as added pleasure. They are never impatient when asking questions about their baked goods(unlike some bakeries that give off an annoyed vibe like you’re bothering them). They clearly take pride in their products, which is reflected in their wonderful desserts. This is a treasure of a bakery! An added bonus is that there’s plenty of parking outside.

I went to Bits and Pieces to get cupcakes for a meeting after reading the reviews on Unilocal.I am so glad I found this little place! The owner was so welcoming. I love that they use limited ingredients and very little food dye. I got one of every flavor they had! The toasted almond was delicious. The frosting was creamy and not overly sweet. Everyone at my meeting loved the cupcakes. I can’t wait to go back and try the guava cupcakes.

Cookies are ok, if you get them fresh. They sell old brownies and cookies at regular price… which isn’t cheap for even a «bit» peice. Also I asked if I could pre-order a batch of peanut butter cookies without the chopped peanuts and they said not possible due to it would mess with«something» really couldn’t explain. Which to me means they just bake pre-made items. Not worth the price to me.

I stopped by yesterday after work at around 6:20pm. I thought that maybe they could possibly have some cakes already made to pick up so I could just buy and go. They don’t :(but then they explained that since they are new and not many people know about this place the last thing they want is a cake to be sitting there waiting for a few days to get bought. After 2 days anything that’s left gets thrown out. Things inside the box are freshly baked. And cakes can be ordered minimum 2 days in advance.(Good to know for next time) Anyways I bought cupcakes instead since nobody can ever agree on a cake flavor anyways! They have GUAVA cupcakes! That was the original flavored cake I was supposed to find for my mom’s bday(Akis is closed now). I also grabbed chocolate, red velvet, and carrot cake cupcakes! All were delicious and now too sweet! PERFECTFRESHANDDELICIOUS!

I tried the snickerdoodle cookie($ 2). It’s OK, but not half as good as the Kicks snickerdoodle cookies sold at Piazza’s(about $ 1/each).

I had the almond cupcake, it was delicious! 10⁄10 would buy again. I also bought a cranberry pie for a family event and it was a hit with everyone! Everyone loved it so much that it was all gone before I can try a piece. They are officially my favorite bakery in the bay area.

Guess this was a Kick’s Ice Cream shop before? Ive been trying to ween off the sugar for a while now but had to drop in here in a moment of weakness. Got the almond bites, banana+carrot cupcakes and a ginger molasses cookie. Solid all around. Thankfully I didnt try and eat them all in one sitting and spread the items across multiple days. I can see how you could totally chow down though. Owners are super nice and it seems they’ll be bringing in a number of allergen free goodies too

Great size selection and large list of items for order. Daily selections change, which is great as it adds variety. Ordered a pecan pie and love it. Certainly will be back. Little off the epicenter of business on Lincoln in Willow Glen but worth the drive down to the store.

Cute little hot spot! This used to be an ice cream spot but I’m really glad that Bits and Pieces is here now! Met the owners at the Elite party at Cinnabar last night. They were really nice and the cookies were really good so why not find them since they are in my neck of the woods. Met Roxy and Nana at the bakery and they too were very welcoming! Anyhow back to the sweets! Fair variety of cookies and cupcakes on display– nothing too overwhelming! $ 1 for the regular sized treats and $ 2 for the large sized treats. Not only do they serve cookies and cupcakes but also cakes, pies, bars, tarts, cheesecakes, and so much more!(Sorry, I’m pregnant and right now sweets is the way to my baby’s heart!) All of these are made to order and can be picked up within 2 days! We ordered a mixed berry pie because the picture on the wall looked mouth watering and also from the recommendation from the girl.(Wait for an update picture this weekend). They’re open 7 days a week from 9−7pm so there’s no excuse to not stop by and check this place out. And remember, when you spend $ 5 you get free coffee!

GREATGREATGREAT bakery. I needed cookies for a bbq and happened upon this bakery. The owner is so sweet and so good at what she does. I got a dozen cookies and a pie and everything as like $ 35. The pie was just out of the oven and was unbelievably delicious. I can’t wait to go back.

What a great little gem! I have to say I LOVE their«bits» selection! Don’t know what to order? Get a couple of «bits» and be on your merry way. I will say, Frost still has my heart for cupcakes but Bits and Pieces is now my 2nd. GREAT cream cheese frosting. I could eat here every day if I wanted to weight 900 lbs BUT i will take my bits and pieces in moderation for now:) I recommend the carrot cake cupcakes and banana bread cupcakes. Both are lovely. I’ve had the light and dense chocolate cake cupcakes as well and can say both are very good and fit their names appropriately. Their selection will vary day by day based on what they have going out to orders. However, you wont be disappointed! A very welcome addition to the VERY north end of Willow Glen(almost burbank/midtown). Don’t miss them! They are just north of Coe.
