Just had my filler appt with Tammy, and as per the usual, she did a fantastic job. Love coming here and seeing all of these familiar and talented faces. Keep on making us pretty, ladies! =)

I have been going here for several years, for Botox. Everyone is professional and friendly, and even though I’m a guy, it’s easy to feel comfortable. I highly recommend both Susan and Christina. They do expert work and you can tell they take a lot of pride in their work.

It’s so great to see jolly faces and service, especially this time of the year. I went in during Black Friday. The ladies at the front desk, I really wish I was able to recall their names, were such sweethearts! They helped me seal a Black Friday deal. Initially, I was not aware of the deal, so
it was really thoughtful for them to bring it to my attention, and go out of their way help me.
I went in today for laser hair removal. My nurse was Asma, who was such a pleasure to work with! She was so sweet and gentle with all my hair removal needs today!
I definitely recommend this center, and Asma! Happy Holidays!

Update: I’m now 50! Susan is still my goto girl at BluCocoon! I have maintained my treatments-​Botox and JuvUltra and am still lookin’ pretty good. My goal is to look good-​not young, and I think i’m achieving that. I’ll post a new pic soon.

I have found my experience here is highly dependent on the professional who does the service. I have gotten Botox here three times and I have been extremely happy, except for when Tamara (Tammy) did it. She didn’t even have me frown to look at my lines and didn’t seem methodical in her distribution of the injections; in fact I felt like she put too much in individual spots. Cristina and whoever I saw the first time were AMAZING and I have nothing but good things to say. I will make sure I request Cristina from now on.
On to laser hair removal. The first time went fine but I felt like the professional really rushed and, again, was not methodical and didn’t pay attention to detail, rushing over areas. Since that first time, I have had laser hair removal there three more times with Asma and she is incredible! So thorough and makes sure she gets everything. I am extremely happy with her and now make sure I request her each time. I can’t remember who performed my laser hair removal the first time but it was an older, blonde woman.
Takeaway points: Cristina and Asma are exceptional!

This is the fourth time here now. Asma is simply the best. She is just so caring and just so good and efficient at what she does too. I would never go to anyone else other than her. She is the best!

I am a year behind on giving my review, only because I really liked the facility and the staff. So, it bums me out that I have to give this place a not so good review, but I want people to be cautious before they decide to do a treatment.
I am giving them a 3-​star because they do have a nice facility and they do well in the other services, but I think the Botox services need to be looked into or just taken off as a service.
I went to Blu Cocoon for a consultation for Botox (I have never done before), and the consultation went very well and I was really excited for it. I was getting this done specifically for my wedding photos. I didn’t want to have a brow furrow during pictures, knowing I would be looking into the sunlight.
The overall experience of getting the Botox procedure done was great and the staff was very informative on how to take care of yourself. They even mentioned that if there are any areas that didn’t «freeze», to come back and they’ll evaluate to see if I am eligible for additional units.
After the Botox was injected in my brow area, left optimistic and happy knowing that I will not have any wrinkles on my wedding day. The 7 — 10 days for it to fully kick in went by and I started to see results. It is a really exciting feeling when you have this one wrinkle area that always shows whether you are making the expression or not, disappear. It was such a great feeling…
Botox typically lasts 3 –6 months, depending on the client. Which was perfect for me as my wedding was 2 months away and I didn’t want to be super frozen face. They suggested that if I have any movement prior to the wedding to get a freshening up. Well to my dismay, I started feeling movement 3 WEEKS after I had gotten the procedure done.
So, I call and let them know my situation and they are completely accommodating to give me a «refresh» of units on the brow area that is still moving. They were complete surprised by the lack of results my Botox had, so THIS time was going to work and its even better that my wedding is only a month or so away…
I wait the 7 — 10 days for the Botox to kick in, AGAIN… this time, it never did. At this point, I had spent about $ 400 on it, which is fine if it had worked. But when I call back again to let them know that it still hadn’t taken affect, they had said that they would have to charge me full price and could not give me additional units for free. Which at some point I understand. I am not one to take advantage, but I thought at least I would get some money refunded for the product completely failing and my wedding pics still having brow lines show. :(
Note: it is known that some places will put saline in their Botox to make a bigger profit. I am not saying that this place does that, but its hard to believe that after so many units in one area, in the span on 4 weeks that it never kicked in.

Blu Cocoon is my go to for my procedures! The staff, while a little sterile, are friendly and adept at their jobs and the place is inviting and comfortable. I have been happy with the results and look forward to coming back.
The laser hair removal here is worth the investment. I had my underarm hairs zapped to eliminate armpit shadows prior to my wedding in 2013. Since then, the hair growth has been minimal (decreased 90%) and I only occasionally come in for maintenance (at half price!). While it is painful (I pop plenty of ibuprofens before the procedure), it is over fairly quickly and the pain is seriously worth the gain (isn’t it always?). Make sure to ask for extra numbing time when booking your appointment if you are a pansy like me.
I also have had a singular treatment of laser vein removal. I have very fair skin and my mom has tons of spider veins. I had a little web growing near the inner base of my left ankle and was fearful of it getting bigger. Susan (who is awesome by the way) gave me plenty of numbing time and the procedure was quick and mostly painless. Since then the web has all but disappeared and hasn’t really come back. Prevention is always cheaper than the cure! I pointed out some other blue areas on my legs, but apparently those were my real veins haha. She made sure not to zap those.
The facials here are really great too.
There isn’t much upsell or pressure for additional treatments which is a huge plus. When you have a consultation, the staff merely suggests options for you for your condition (s). Though the spa isn’t cheap, the prices are worth the results and the peace of mind knowing that you and your body will be taken care of (hey you only have one…).
While the front of the house doesn’t have much in terms of a waiting room, I’ve never really had to wait more than five minutes before being brought to a room. They don’t seem to have very many rooms, so there is a small couch area in which I’ve had to wait with other clients while numbing — a tad strange while clad in a towel wrap with my clothing in a basket.
Still, Blu Cocoon is my fave med spa!

The staff is nice. The place is pretty nice. It is located in a strip mall. So I got way more units of Botox than usual, spent about $ 150 more than usual and my results are way worse. I guess I am going to stick with getting my treatments two times a year in Chicago, where I pay less, have less injected into my face and I get better results. Ya know, it wasn’t a bad experience, but two stars, is «Meh. I’ve experienced better» and I have experienced better and for less. I should point out that the lady I see in Chicago is known as one of the best in the city for Botox so my standards might be pretty high.

I don’t want to give this place a bad review because they have very nice staff and I used to get really good result but I don’t know if I should waste more money getting more treatment.
I got a package for underarm laser hair removal a couple year ago which is 6 treatment and I got good result, almost 80%-90% of the hair gone but after I gave birth to my son, the hair came back. It’s not dark but it’s quite a bit.
So, I scheduled an appointment and told the nurse what happened and she said its common that the hair come back after pregnancy. She took a look at my underarm and said maybe I need 2 – 3 more treatment to get the same 80%-90% result. I went ahead with my 7^th treatment.
But, after the 9^th treatment last month, the same amount of hair grew back. I was very disappointed. Even though old customer only pay half price for each session, it still cost $ 65 per treatment. I already did 3 and I don’t see result, am just not too sure if I want to continue.

I go here for the laser hair removal. It’s a nice place, but for the laser hair removal you need quite a few sessions. Sometimes I get a really good person and other times I don’t, so that’s why I didn’t give this place 5 stars. Some of the nurses just aren’t as good with getting all of the area. Lisa (not sure if she still works there or not) is good because she goes over the area twice, and I notice that I don’t have much growth afterwards. I can’t say the same for some of the others though.

Susan is phenomenal, she did such a fantastic job, no downtime, I am in love with the results! I have been coming here for 3 years and actually like them so much better than my dermatologist in Mt. View who charged a whole lot more!

I came here for the first time for laser hair removal. I found this place by ALL their great reviews on Unilocal (I love Unilocal!). This is located in the shopping plaza on Coleman which is great because it’s right by my work downtown. All the staff here is so great and so sweet!
First I had my consulation which takes about 30 mins. We talked about the procedures I was interested in and what to expect and it was very helpful! I love that they are very honest here as said in other Unilocal reviews. They did tell me what would be a waste of money for my body.
I think the prices here are very reasonable for the results. For laser hair removal, the first 5 treatments are full price and any maintenance after that is half off! And they have sales from time to time. I bought a $ 500 gift certificate for $ 400! On top of that I got a $ 25.00 off coupon for registering online for email and stuff.
I had my first treatment this past weekend. You make an appointment which includes the allocated time for numbing cream. After applying numbing cream you wait about 20 mins or so and then you are ready to be lasered. I was so nervous about being lasered because I have a low tolerance for pain. Man oh man the numbing cream worked miracles! No pain whatsoever just little tingles here and there! And the treatments are so quick!
People were right, this place is going to be addicting! I told them «Wow! I love this! What else can I do here?!»

So okay, messing with your face can be a little terrifying.
Looking in the mirror at rapidly appearing fine lines? Equally terrifying. What’s a girl to do?
Go to Susan at Blu Cocoon. She. Is. Amazing.
Here’s the thing– a med spa with great services, beautiful facilities, and a professional staff is only have the battle. Asking someone to advise you on what to do to meet your skin care needs, and/​or sticking needles in your face is a different ballgame.
The Susan/​Blu Cocoon combo is the complete package as far as I’m concerned.
She is beautiful inside and out, kind, knowledgeable, super professional and totally patient while I confessed every insecurity and pointed out every imperfection in my face/​skin.
She’s also willing to tell me no. HUGE. There’s no upsell pressure or play on my already obsessive insecurity about what else I could be doing. If I want more Botox and don’t need it– Susan will tell me. If I’m thinking I should do some new procedure but I’m not sure, she can explain all the ins and outs and tell me to think about it and call if I want to come back.
It’s so refreshing to go to a med spa and not feel pressured… or concerned I’m going to come out looking all cougar-​who-​went overboard-​on-​the-​filler.
The first time I went to this place I had a HORRIBLE experience. Turns out, the woman I saw only lasted there a month. I went back specifically to see Susan and give it another shot– what an incredibly lovely experience!

I have trusted my face and body to Blu Cocoon for laser hair removal for the past 5 years.
I’m pretty shy about having to strip down in front of strangers but not here. I’m happy to get in that towel and start lasering any hair off! The girls there are so friendly, they have never made me feel anything but comfortable.
The spa is always spotless clean, the staff is always beyond accommodating, the results have honestly changed my life. I love everything about this place!

I came here after reading all the positive Unilocal reviews about laser hair removal. I felt it was a better option for me than waxing. Note, that it’s never permanent, but it will significantly reduce and thin the hair. The first time, I went in for a consultation and met with one of the staff. You go over what areas you want to do and they’ll set you up with one of the staff. They’re all very professional, but still very personable. I usually work with Susan.
I’ve had various areas done and have been very satisfied with the results. You usually have to go 3 – 5 sessions to have good results so you should ask about their package deals. When you go for a touch-​up, the price is usually less than the original treatment which is nice.
This year, they had to start having the clients apply their own numbing cream due to some new law, but it’s fairly easy. Make sure to rub that cream in or you’ll be sorry! You may want to take Tylenol if it’s your first time as it will be painful at times, but you have to realize how worth it is in the end. Also, it’s better to get through the lasers quickly and bite the pain then to prolong your appointment. Remember… NO PAIN, NO GAIN! And once you do it and see the results, you’re gonna get a little addicted and go back for other areas! That’s what happened to me! :)

Overall, I opted to go to SkinSprit in Palo Alto, where their machines are less painful, and the nurse is the one performing the laser hair removal, and the clinic is overall, much more friendly/​welcoming.
