History

Established in 2014.

As of July 1, 2014, the state of California is now requiring that each city’s building department enforces proper Title 24 compliance in order to pull a building permit for residential HVAC prescriptive alterations. As part of compliance, an Air Duct Pressure Test for leakage is required to be performed by a third party HERS rater when the HVAC alteration takes place. In some cases, other tests may be required in order to verify compliance. At California Air Duct Testers we proudly heed the call to provide such services.

With 10 years of experience in the HVAC industry, Joe Novelo, owner and certified HERS rater, is committed to providing THE BEST possible HVAC rating and Title 24 verification services available to home owners and HVAC contractors in California, primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area… for now. Along with being a Certified HERS rater, Joe is also EPA Universal level certified. The State of California requires that HERS raters be at least Level 2 EPA Certified.
