California Custom Creations

Our contractor had Paul of California Custom Creations replace 14 windows and 1 patio sliding door for us. Paul installed Amerimax dual pane, dessert sand vinyl, and argon gas filled windows for us that were reasonably priced and had been pre-​approved by our HOA. Paul replaced all the windows and the door in two and a half days. He was always on time and kept the work area clean with minimal disruption to us. Both our contractor and we ourselves are very pleased with the installation.

Paul and California Custom Creations are top notch! There were six medium sized windows that he replaced with new modern windows. The HOA had to approve them and he tracked that down for the job too.
On install day, he had all windows installed ahead of schedule and they are awesome!

I have contacted Paul based on the great reviews here on Unilocal.We needed to open one of the walls in our house and install new french door. At first I was disappointed at how not responsive he was –few times he said he will come to see what needs to be done and never did without saying anything (very unprofessional).
But I was patient. I gave him the drawings approved by the city of San Jose with permit to do the project. He needed it for the bid. But then he kept postponing giving me the bid too.
Eventually he did and the bid he gave me was surreal (totally not competitive). This was just one hour before he said over the phone that he can not give me the bid because something was missing from the drawings (which was not the case) I would appreciate much more him saying directly that he wont do the project. Sorry to ruin great reviews but my experience unfortunately was different. I have waited for him so long just to be refused in such a rude and unprofessional way.

I’ve known Paul for several years and seen his work first hand, he always maintains the highest quality in his performance and expects nothing less from himself or his staff. If you want the job done right, he’s the person to call for your window and door renovation projects.

We knew the sliding doors we wanted, searched for the manufacturer’s installers and we liked California Custom’s reviews. Paul came out, provided varied options and we selected a path forward. This required a collaborative interface with our general contractor, where Cal Custom would work hand in hand to install.
Paul was on time, on budget and interfaced very well. All parties are pleased with the results. Cal Custom’s involvement integrated well into a full scale multi room project. Key for us is responsiveness. Paul is responsive.
The best way to assess a vendor is seeing how they react to getting thrown a curve ball. We had a small issue with one of the manufacturer’s accessories design, where it met spec, but we wanted it a bit different. Paul took care of it, sorted it out and we had our needs resolved in short order.
We have no hesitation in using them again and no hesitation to recommend.

If you have any windows/​sliding doors that need to be replaced do yourself a favor and speak with Paul from CCC. What separates Paul from the other dozens of contractors is simple — customer service. Don’t get me wrong, Paul is extremely knowledgable; he’s been doing this for 15+ years and did a fantastic job with our windows/doors…but what we appreciated the most was his level of customer service.
We live in an old 70’s home in Campbell with aluminum windows and sliding doors. From the moment I called for an estimate, Paul was very easy to talk to, and came over the same day to give us a quote. During the walk through Paul provided us with a lot of useful information about our window options, the pros and cons associated with each, and what would be the most cost effective. I had previously met with 3 other vendors and Paul’s quote was the lowest. He was also willing to work with me in terms of payment options.
While we were waiting for the materials to arrive Paul was always responsive to emails and phone calls. The job itself took him one full day, and they did an amazing job. He even helped us fix a bedroom door and got rid of some junk for us that was lying in our backyard.
Working with Paul was easy, and he is someone you can trust. The quality of his work speaks for itself, but it’s the level of customer service that separates him from the rest. We plan on working with Paul again when we replace our front entry door, and if you have any window/​door projects around the house you should give him a ring. You’ll be glad you did!

Paul Wagner is the owner of this company. When site visit, he explained in detail of all the questions I’ve had in mind. For example, the difference between vinyl and aluminum. What he can do compare with other vendors, etc… He contacted the HOA to find out all requirement details, etc… He knows exactly what needs to be done when encountered problem to deliver a 9ft patio door frame to my apartment unit. He also would clean up the area when the job is complete. Very responsible. The materials used are in high quality as described. Currently, my home is more quite and warmer than it used to be. Highly recommended.

Paul did an excellent job with the window project on my house. Project consisted of 14 new windows and a new door leading out to the back yard.
Very professional, was on time each day without fail. Very friendly, I think my dog thought he was there to visit him each day. Was very careful around the house. Took the time to clean up at the end of each day.
