My experience with Paul at Capitol Chevrolet was extremely positive from the start. It was a bit of a process to get me into the car I wanted due to credit, but Paul made it work and got me into a beautiful Honda CR-​V which is just what our family needed. There was no pushiness in his salesmanship. I went into car buying worried about the process and walked away a very happy buyer. A couple of months ago, my daughter’s mother had to take her car in due to an issue. Her key actually broke off in the ignition. They told her that she needed to buy a new key. That is understandable. Keys aren’t cheep. Not the fault of the dealership. Costs are costs. This is where the problem occurred. I got a phone call at work, and had to leave early, because she was told after her key purchase that it was going to cost her $ 150 to have her key programmed. I drove 45 minutes through traffic to find a very upset woman who didn’t know where she was going to come up with $ 150 that she didn’t have. I walked in, and told them that I needed the key programmed. I wasn’t very happy, but I stayed calm. The guy behind the counter started cracking jokes. I wasn’t laughing. He caught on quick. Asked to see the key, and asked where the car was located. I led the way. He followed, and when he got to the car, and programmed the new key in under a minute. He asked if there was anything more that he could do. I told him no, and he wished us a good day, and went back inside. Why didn’t it cost me $ 150? Because they saw an opportunity to screw someone out of $ 150 in under a minute. I don’t know if I could ever trust this service department again. They seem shady, and probably take advantage of anyone they can. I would oppose using these crooks for anything other than warranty.

This review is for Paul Duran. I recently bought a car from him and he gave me the best car experience ever. Exceeded my expectations by far. I shopped around at other places and never have i had a good experience with cars salesman. Paul was different I told him exactly what I wanted and was looking for and he delivered everything and then some. He is very honest and can tell that he actually cares about his customers more then what goes in their pockets. I would only go to Paul in the future with any future buisness and recommend him to everyone. He is a true example of what a car buying experience should be like. Thank you Paul Duran! He is totally a rock star on what he does. So patient with me on my first time buying a car, he answered all my questions (were a lot) and make me feel like at home. I have to come back a few times after I picked my SUV and every time I will get a big smile by the end of my visit! You gotta go and let him show you around the best deals.

I have purchased many cars over the years, and Keith (Capitol Chevy) made this a walk in the park. Of course, we had the normal haggle over pricing, but otherwise, the whole experience was seamless. Keith went over the operation of my truck, in detail, which made my life that much easier. I have been to this dealership many times over the years, as I live nearby, and have never had a bad experience. Everyone here is polite, and does not try to push you into something you don’t want. Enjoyed the experience. How often do you hear someone say that about a vehicle purchase.

My car purchase was good thanks to the Unilocal review left by Renee T. I asked for Paul Duran and he sold me a 2015 Chevy Camaro and I was out of the dealership in 1.5 hrs with my new car. He has excellent customer service and was able to get me the best deal for my trade and on the new car. I will definitely be back in the future and I will recommend this dealership to my friends if they are ever looking for a car and to ask for Paul.

I bought a 2016 Camaro 1LT in capitol chevy and got great service! They are so nice and helpful.

My initial experience was very positive — the salesman I worked with was very helpful and didn’t pressure me to buy the vehicle.
The experience afterward has sucked so far. Big time.
Only two weeks after purchasing my 2013 Ford Escape, the check engine light came on. I have to wait 2 weeks for my appointment date and when I finally take it in to get fixed, I’m told that I actually have to go to Ford instead. That’s something that could have been told to me over the phone.
This isn’t what upset me about their service. It’s actually because [essentially] they took $ 3,000 from me and have no record of it on their end.
[back story] I was given 21 days to pay the remainder of my down payment. For «security», I gave them a check worth $ 3,000 (something they could cash in case I didn’t call within 21 days). I DID call within 21 days, the receipts for my payment were even sent to me in the mail, and from there I expected them to just shred the check I wrote them. Simple due diligence on their end.
Nope. About two weeks later, I find out that these guys ended up cashing the check. I call Rhonda in the Finance department and I’m told that I actually need to send PROOF that they actually cashed the check and took money from me. As if they don’t have any proof on their end? I have to take time to get a physical copy from my bank (they won’t accept an electronic print out) and drive over to them to show them that they took $ 3,000 from me. I have to take time out of my day to fix their mistake. That’s what’s most upsetting.
DGDG is a joke. Never again.

My wife and I have recently moved to the US from the UK and were interested in leasing the 2016 Chevrolet Equinox, this can be very tricky as all our credit history is abroad and not often recognized here. We had looked at a few other dealers (e.g. Momentum Chevrolet) but it was clear from the moment we arrived at Capitol Chevrolet the experience was going to be much more pleasant. We were greeted by Selene who made the whole experience super fun and exciting (as it should be when looking for a new car!) as she helped us through all the details and paperwork required. Both her and Isaac worked hard to make sure we could make use of the ‘Expatriate program’ in order to receive a better deal.

Once again, the team at Capitol Chevrolet has amazed me! It took over a year, but my hubby and I finally came back to get that 4×4 he so desperately «needed» (LOL).
This time around we brought the kids because we needed to make sure we were getting what we wanted, during day light hours. Totally NOT an issue as they have a kids room setup in the showroom! Even better… they fed our kids while we were there; seriously, where do you get that kind of service!!!
On to the Happy Car Buying Experience… Paul Duran… We knew we wanted a 4×4, but basically planned on trading in our Avalanche for an older, used vehicle. Paul spent many hours with us and helped to pick out a truck that totally suited our family needs, but also covered the hubby’s Pismo addiction. Better yet, it was brand spanking new, SCORE!
We were worried about the financing, especially on a new vehicle but once again the team at DGDG took great care of us. I’m not really sure how, but we walked out of there with our brand new truck and an amazing financing deal. They took care of us like we were family, made sure we were totally comfortable with the deal and went ABOVE AND BEYOND in so many ways that I will never really be able to say thanks enough.

Another great car buying experience at DGDG capitol Chevrolet for my 2016 Cheverolet volt! Like all car shopper does, I looked around the bay area hoping to find the best price and trim for my volt. Capitol hands down has the largest inventory for them and competitive pricing, plus Mojeeb (Mo) Nuno is very knowledgeable on all of the features and technology toys on the new volt. I can’t say the same about other dealerships. I highly recommend Mo, he puts himself in your shoes and always on the look out on promotions to help you save money, always response to my email and text, lastly great post sales follow up. DGDG’s motto is «be a happy car buyer» I can’t be any happier with my 2^nd experience. I actually had fun shopping for cars. Thanks MO and capitol Chevrolet.

The people at Capitol Chevrolet all were very friendly, and they made the car buying experience a great experience. My girlfriend and I have been considering a Chevy midsize SUV for a month now, and we finally decided to reach out to dealerships online for a good deal.
We reached out to Capitol Chevrolet via the DGDG website, and a few days later Mojeeb from Capitol reached out to me. Unfortunately the model we had our eyes on was sold. I dropped into Capitol Chevrolet a couple of days ago to look at the inventory, and Marcos was so helpful to look at their current inventory and offer me a competitive deal. He explained that with the rebates available, that he would honor the price of the original model we had our eyes on that was sold just days earlier.
Marcos spoke with his manager, and was able to to knock off even more $$$ to make the deal. He wanted our business, and he got it! Rudy in the finance department is great, he gives you very clear explanations covering all of the features of the warranties associated with your vehicle. I’ll never set foot in here again. I stopped in on a Friday evening just around dusk to check out a used car. The salesperson who greeted me on the lot was courteous and knowledgeable about cars. I asked for a test drive. It was all of 5 minutes. Down the road a mile, and I was asked to u-​turn and go back, okay… We go inside and I say I’d like to see some numbers.
The salesperson who I was working with was very new by his own admission, I had no problems bearing with him, we are all new at our jobs at some point. He asked 6 different people for help because I don’t think he was supposed to be doing this all on his own. None of them could help at that time. You would think a dealership would be professional enough not to let a new employee just float in the either.
After one set of numbers I said was too high, and informed him there were comparably priced cars elsewhere, the manager on duty tried to have the salesperson show me a price comparison with «the only comparable car within 100 miles of here.» Here they were with a comp having ~20k more miles and it most certainly not the only one within 100 miles. I knew this well already based on my research. I started to correct this by showing the sales guy on my phone that the manager was giving him and me incorrect information, but had to leave suddenly due to a family emergency.
I come back Saturday afternoon a few hours before closing time. I say I looked at the car yesterday and am interested and would like to take it for a pre-​purchase inspection at my own mechanic 20 minutes away who is an expert on this specific brand of vehicle. I could have it back to them in a little over an hour. «No we can’t do that.» was the answer. I pressed a bit, politely and was told, «We don’t do that on weekends, but let me see what I can do.»
At this point I was simply wondering why difference day of the week makes if I am a customer standing in your showroom who’s clearly interested in buying the vehicle and would like to have my own mechanic take a look at the car.
I follow the salesman over to the desk where a very agitated looking David Azimi, General Sales Manager, snaps at me immediately after the salesman positions letting me take the car. He says I can’t take the car end of story. «What if we have people coming to look at this car» (clearly he didn’t know if he did or not). That wasn’t the point, again I’m a customer in your showroom who’s already made it known I’ve looked at the car and would like to do a PPI because I’m likely to buy it. He says «You can come take it Monday.»…this continued. He seemed to get more agitated by the moment. How rude. You are a General Sales Manager. Act professional and courteous.
Another, farther away dealership let me take a car for 2 hours earlier in the day. Come on.
No regard for my time. No regard for my stated desire to look further into the car. No regard for a potential customer in his showroom. No regard for the other patrons in his showroom because he started elevating his voice. Instead of being reasonable and letting me have the car for just over an hour so I could potentially make a purchase I was snapped at, and treated in a rude and dismissive manner.
At this point i left, and not as an uncontrolled reaction, but intentionally because he chose to treat me the way he did, I shouted aloud that I guess he did not want to sell a car today as I walked out of the dealership.
There are a lot of places I can spend hard earned money to buy a car and I’ll sure have a hard time ever setting foot in any DGDG dealership ever again to do it. I’m not sure how they could make the experience much worse for a first time potential customer.

As soon as I head that the new 2016 Chevy Volt was released mid October 2015 I called Capitol Chevrolet and spoke to Sales and Leasing Professional Carlos Thomas and made an appointment with Carlos to test drive the new 2016 Volt.
Carlos Thomas is very knowledgeable about the new 2016 Chevy Volt and was able to show me all of the cool new features, advanced infotainment system, and the advanced safety features like, Forward Collision Alert, Lane Keep Assist, Side Blind Zone Alert with Lane Change Alert, Low-​speed Front Automatic Braking, Automatic Parallel Park Assist, Rear Vision Camera, Rear Cross-​Traffic Alert, OnStar Automatic Crash Response and Crisis Assist.
I loved the new style and advanced features, and I decided to lease one immediately.
Carlos Thomas help me to get my lease processed quickly and efficiently, and explained in detail items about leasing that I did not understand. Carlos also advised me of the process to request $ 1,500 CA State EV Refund and Carlos prepared all of the needed paperwork for me to mail in for the refund.
Carlos gave me his cell number and told me that if I have any problems or questions at all, not to hesitate to call him for assistance, he would be happy to answer any questions.
I was out the door driving my new 2016 Chevy Volt the same afternoon with Carlos help.
I highly recommend buying a new car at Capitol Chevrolet, the good folks working there are very knowledgeable, friendly, happy, and go out of their way to help their customers.

I made an appointment with Paul Duran and was pleasantly surprised with his professional attitude and very helpful advice. He was extremely nice and very helpful while helping me to decide on my 2016 Chevy Malibu. I could not have asked or hoped for a better experience buying a car! I would recommend Paul to anyone who is interested in buying or leasing a car at Capitol Chevrolet!
I also had an excellent experience with Scott Perez when I had to face the pile of papers that one has to sign when buying or leasing a car. He was very nice and a lot of fun to talk to while I signed all the paperwork. After looking at several Chevy dealerships for a Chevy Spark to lease, we were told there was a shipment that came in at Capitol Chevrolet. Paul took our call and let us know that the color we wanted was already claimed by people who had put down deposits, but they still had a few that were unclaimed.
We went to visit Paul and the dealership to see what was available and they were so accommodating. They stayed late and let us take our time and tried their best to work with us to make sure we were happy and that we were happy with any decisions that we made.
We did wind up making a deal with them and are very happy with our new car.
