Caring Hearts is an assisted living home located in West San Jose, nearby Campbell, Saratoga, Los Gatos, and Santa Clara. We are a medium size home to 12 residents, with a staff to resident ratio of 1:3. Our circle of care approach is based on working with 3^rd party health care providers to provide a comprehensive care plan for each of our residents. Providers include home health nurses, physical therapist, occupational therapist, lab technicians, podiatry technician, pharmacy delivery, incontinent supply delivery, senior day programs, and hospice service. Through our network of preferred providers, we can offer services that can take various tasks off families so that they can enjoy their visits with their loved one. We provide daily activities and events year-​round to encourage social nurturing. With our professional system and regular communication, you will feel confident in knowing that your loved one is being well cared for.

History

Established in 2005.

Caring Hearts began when founder and CEO Olivia Velasquez was looking for a special home for her own grandmother. She was at a large assisted living facility but due to health decline, the facility got too big for her needs. Olivia needed to find a smaller environment for more personalized care but also provide activities to keep her grandmother engaged daily. After a lengthy search, she could not find a facility that quite fit what she was looking for. In 2005, an opportunity came up for Olivia to take over an existing facility. Caring Hearts was born and created to provide a loving, warm, home-​like environment with social nurturing to provide the best quality of life with compassion.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Olivia is the Owner/​Executive Director of Caring Hearts. She is a bay area native with a BS Pre-​med/​Biology, an MBA, and CA Certified RCFE Administrator. Her journey took her through genetic research at Stanford, to Business Development at a Biotech company until she found her true calling. Through the needs of her own grandmother, she founded Caring Hearts to provide what she was looking for to care and love her grandmother in her final years. Olivia’s ability to utilize and implement resources with underlying empathy for those she supports gives Caring Hearts that unique loving touch.
