I ordered a burrito. Very expensive, like $ 8 – 9 for it. The burrito had good flavor, liked the rice and beans, and the meat(al pastor) had good flavor. However, it was cold. That’s a big problem I wish they would address. At least throw the meat back on the grill for a second before wrapping it up. I hate cold food.

Food has gotten expensive. 4oz bag of those spicy wheel chips use to be .99 cents, now $ 1.99. Bundle of green onions, $ 2.19?! $ 6.49 légua torta size of my palm!!! MI pueblo’s torta is 2x that size. WTF?! No tripa or Cabeza meats? super burrito $ 6.49, stupid lady over charged me by $ 2 and it wasn’t even hot, but the guy who took my order was friendly. Also very small compared to other places like eduardo’s, mi pueblo, and Los dos compadres 2. I’ve been craving a torta all week and now that I’ve had one, I’m obviously not satisfied, but angry. Mi pueblo’s taqueria has better food and better people. If I want a torta, I think I’m gonna stay with mi pueblo. GOODNIGHTTOYOUCHAVEZ!

The taqueria inside is excellent. IMHO the best burritos in the area, and that’s saying something as there are dozens of taquerias in the area. Meats are cut to order such as the carne asana. They also have wheat tortillas if you want. I love their tamale plate, and the burrito bowl is hands down the best taco salad you’ll find anywhere. But my favorite thing about the taqueria is the selection of agua Fresca. The watermelon and cantaloupe frescas are delicious, but by far the most delicious is the plantain Fresca. They don’t always have it, so if you see it then do yourself a favor and try it. Soooo gooooood.

We were going to a place to visit some people so we wanted to go to Costco to go buy cake, unfortunately it was closed so we ended up going here, talk about some expensive cake about 24 bucks for a small chocolate cake, well we ended up buying it and it wasn’t even good just plain I sure won’t be returning

Here is where I ALWAYS find GOOD Quality Taqueria food. Most importantly their kitchen is clean and maintained. They keep the food fresh and consistent. I’ll come here before any nearby taqueria! The food is worth the cost if you’re looking for quality Mexican food. Try there Delicious Super Taco, Super Burrito, Super Nachos, and Carne Asada Fries! ITISOHSOGOODANDYUMMY!

I heard about the great catering from this place from my sister and went on over to get some information. Seriously, it was a waste of 30 min of my life to try to get information. Unfortunately the girl who was helping me didn’t speak English well and didn’t bother getting me someone else, even after I repeatedly asked. :(

Bad customer service, make my order wrong twice. Need to listen to customers before making order. Good after they make it but waited too long for it.

I took my parents for quick lunch . The people at the food court where a little rude. I like the on on Monterey and blossom hill better. At least I felt at the other one that they wanted my business . Last visiting there even though I live in alum rock

This review is only for the taqueria inside and not the supermakert! Came here with a fellow Unilocaler and planned on getting some tacos, but we both ended up getting a super quesadilla! I do not usually order quesadilla when I go out for mexican food, but the pictures of the quesadilla posted on Unilocal looked delicious, and it was definitely super good! The service was quite fast, but it got quite busy since it was dinner time, so beware of a line! The food was yummy and I will definitely go back to try the tacos and walk through the supermarket to maybe pick up some mexican ice cream or something: D Also, this place accepts cash and card, which makes my life that much easier :) and there’s plenty of parking outside! Very convenient place to grab some tacos, burritos, or whatever after doing some grocery shopping!

I’m never disappointed when I come here! They NEVER get my order wrong, and the meat is fresh along with the green salsa. One of My favorite spots in my home town on the east side.

Came here for the first time to try the carne asada fries. They were really good! The fries tasted fresh and homemade. The meat was good as well! My favorite was probably the horchata. We got lucky that they were just done making it so we had to wait a while for the water to settle but it was totally worth waiting for! A bit overpriced however.

The taqueria uses fresh and good quality ingredients but overall it wasn’t outstanding! Juicy chunks of carna asana, fluffy yet frispy fries, and gooey quality cheese made my nacho fries delicious! Although the meat, sour cream, cheese, and fries were splendid, the guac and the overall taste were subpar and could use more of something. I can’t tell what. Not bad though! The tacos were quite dry overall. And spicy salsa is not their forte. Authentic, but I’d find another authentic place.

Positives: Food was great. Friendly service. Negatives: Dangerous area. Fresh human blood puddles in the parking lot. Seems like a crime had taken place several hours earlier no one bothered to clean up. The blood trail went on for 20 feet. Great family environment.

Their food/ingredients are super fresh. They have a great variety! They’ll make what ever you want! You can shop and eat… or eat than shop… When I can’t decide what I want to eat Sopes are amazing! They’re huge I usually just order one and I’m full! Menudo on weekends as well as other soups :)

Tried there hot food section of the store on sat after seeing pictures here on Unilocal.I ordered the super quesadilla with asada. The meat had real good flavor to it. Didn’t see what kind of cheese they used cause it was my gf that waited inline while I was with our kids. There are so many mexican food place around these day hard to choose where to get something to my likings. and when I do it seems like it only good a few times then it only ok. maybe they change the cooks who knows. So for now this is our go to spot for mexican food.

Sure, they have groceries but I come here mainly for the food. Four words, al pastor french fries. I don’t see that too often on menus around the eastside but they sure know how to serve it up here. Not at all stingy with the meat and cheese. On the menu is says«carne asada french fries» but they will serve it with any meat u request. Also try the chilaquilles. It’s a sure shot breakfast that doesnt disappoint. Just be sure to tell them how u want your eggs, otherwise, it automatically comes scrambled. Everything is reasonably priced and seasoned just right. If you like Mi Pueblo, Chavez Market is pretty good competition.

First time caller, long time listener. ;) First time here, as I’ve only been to the OTHER market across the highway. This is s review just for the deli. Had a few tacos, they are fairly good sized for the money. The meat is tender and flavorful. For the two of use, we ordered 4 super tacos and a large fresco. We barely finished three tacos, but the fresco hit the spot.

I don’t know why but after eating here, it didn’t excite me despite the raves I heard and read about. Came with my daughter and ordered the the taco plate with the carne asada fries and a large water melon agua fresca all of which we paid about 20 bucks(includes a dollar tip) — hey don’t judge me… all I see there in the tip box were coins! The rice was good the beans were ok, the tacos(according to the little me) were decent, the carne asada fries was huge but the pico de gallo with its sour-lemony taste killed the fries for me. It looked pretty tho… Now the watermelon fresca was absolutely refreshing! It wasn’t too sweet and not loaded with ice unlike some places. Highly recommends it!
