Always passed by this place and we wanted to check it out. It looks grand on the outside but not much bigger than Quyen’s next door. The games are backed against the walls so yeah you’ll be facing the wall when playing, not good. But there isn’t much to look at when we were there. The girls are some of the worst I’ve seen. I ordered a fruit cocktail and when i got it, i was searching for the fruit with the spoon. I found a couple of leeches the size of marbles!!! I swear. And found a few thin slices of jackfruit and the rest was filled with Jello!!! I couldn’t believe it, this place is so freakin cheap! The avocado shake was not good either. Well I wanted to check this place out and I did. Enough said.

I came to this around 10:30 pm at night as an alternative to Quyen’s café. The environment/atmosphere is pretty much dead here. There are a couple of guys sitting by themselves but they’re probably here because Nancy is wearing Bikini with her tits literally hanging out. Nancy is is the only waitress btw, her looks is about 6/10, in her late 30’s, not too attractive imo. Besides, I had better things to stare atm. lol. customer service wasn’t too much nor bad. She smiled a little but she came around pouring us drinks. After about 30 minutes of hanging out here, the owner lady notice there were cops coming up. She hurried in to tell Nancy to pop her boobs back in. Meanwhile, my friend ran in the bathroom since he was under 18. The cops acts like they just came in for a simple drink, but I’m pretty they were here for other reason as well. I might return, might not. 2 star for having a dead environment.

First time at one of these things and I brought along someone who could understand Vietnamese just in case. Kind of slow on a Saturday night as I saw groups come and go to check out the ladies as this was one of three places I saw within the same strip mall. Here’s the breakdown. The Hangout: No cover charge. Flatscreens along the walls with sports playing constantly. Tables all around as well as cushioned seating along the walls. Only two or three video touchscreen gaming consoles in one area and Lotto Scratchers vending machine on another side with the bar area in between. Christmas decorations are on the walls. Warm inside even with very few patrons. I guess that’s to keep the girls warm. The Drinks:(1 drink minimum) Coffee is ¾ ice and the rest is decent Vietnamese coffee if you drink it before the ice melts for $ 4. The Smoothies are $ 5 and come in a bigger glass. They also have sweet tea that they automatically serve for $ 3. It becomes complimentary if you order the coffee or smoothie. Add a buck or two for tip. The Ladies: there were three servers there. One with a string thong bottom and see through mesh front top and bottom. One in a normal bikini. The last had a normal bikini bottom and wore electrical tape pasties. None of them were Vietnamese. They walked around once in a while to refill the tea, walked outside to attract customers, and not much else. I didn’t see much interaction with other customers and they didn’t go out of their way to be friendly or to be flirtatious to earn any extra tips. We tried to converse with them, but they didn’t really want to. They all hung around the bar area the rest of the time. Conclusion: It’s okay if you wanted to just hang out, but bring your own conversation. Most people are either going to spend hours there as a group or if by themselves just enough to check out the girls and have a drink. The girls are part of the ambiance and just part of the overall experience even though they are supposed to be the main draw. You’d get a better show and get more attention at a real strip club. But then again you won’t get away with spending only $ 3 at a strip club.

OVERALL — 3.25 star, will need a second visit this wknd… SETTING — Came on a Sunday night, 22:00, with two homeboys. It was pretty dead with about six guys spread across the floor. The Latino chick greeted us courteously and sat us. There’s also … six? flatscreens. FOOD /DRINKS — it wasn’t bad SERVICE — besides the Latino chick, another Asian chick helped her with the drinks; she never said a word to us. The Latino chick was … was not shy with her body. She had one or two pounds more than a typical skinny Asian girl(which I don’t mind), and was showing off her boobs … unlike the Asian chick in a bikini. PRICE it wasn’t bad; it was on par with the other two shops next door at $ 4 – 6 bucks.

Ok time for me to stop being such a squarebear, admit that to go to Viet coffee shops, and actually review this place. This place looks really tacky from the outside. All the windows are boarded up(for good reason) and there’s a bunch of neon signs with girls in «seductive» poses. Also, it’s in a pretty shady looking strip mall. Every time I’ve been here, there’s always a group of those gangster viet guys just chilling in the parking lot. When did that become cool, to just stand around outside your car and mean mug everyone? Inside it’s kind of dimly lit, and the music will hit you like a left hook. Oh my god, the music here is louder than some concerts I’ve been to. I don’t usually mind loud music, but I can’t even really talk to my friends when we come here. I’d be sitting like a foot away from my friend who is shouting and I still can only make out every other word. Drinks here are basically ice. You’ll get a really skinny glass, and they will pack it full of ice. If they took out the ice, the amount of coffee you’d actually get would probably only fill the glass ¼th of the way. Me and my friends have a joke here, which goes something like«if you want a refill of your drink, just drink it halfway and wait for the ice to melt.» But, on to the main reason why we go here in the first place. The girls. Echoing another review on here, «these girls look beat». There’s this one latina girl that works here. She’s got a bit of a gut and has snakebite piercings. She’s the cutest one here but shes got that chola attitude. Sexy, but intimidating. Another one is this skinny asian girl, maybe about 35 years of age. Old, but she was basically wearing only a fishnet for a top so I wasn’t really looking at her face. If you get lucky, there’s one really cute asian girl that works here but I’ve only ever seen her once. This place needs to give her more hours. The only reason why this place gets two stars instead of one is because you see a lot more here than other Viet coffee shops. Other than that, meh.

Cheo Leo is a comfortable coffee shop. They have around 8 flat screens. They have cushioned bench couches along one wall and cushioned seats. The tables are a good size. It’s never really that crowded so you don’t get that packed in feeling like some of the other popular coffee shops. The food and drinks are decent too. Since they’re one of the less popular coffee shops, it’s really hit and miss on the servers and how many girls they have working. They do always seem pretty attentive refilling drinks. They’ve had some real sweethearts working but there also seems to be more turnover in staff than other coffee shops.

******************* REVIEW451 ************************* Another Viet Coffee Shop for guys that want to drool over their café; for guys that their wives/girlfriends look no where near these hot Viet girls; & for those unemployed guys to come here just to chill & drool at the same time! CHEOLEO is 1 of the older«institution coffee shop» here in Man-Jose! I always wonder what Cheo Leo means, even I’m fluent in Viet. So I asked my mom, she said it might be «Cheo‘ Leo» which means, climbing a tree or similar meaning. If so, I can see why these guys love CHEO‘ LEO! They keep on climbing till the trip & fall haha! Just kidding guys, my customers love love this place! These hot Viet girls dress next to nothing, although they serve good Café Sua Da here(Viet iced coffee with condensed milk). They also serve food as well & decent too! If you don’t mind inhaling cigarette smoking here, it’s a good place to check it out to get flush your trouble away, or to get in more trouble with your wives/girlfriends ha! P. S.: For those girls that read this, please don’t judge! Majority of guys love their wives/girlfriends dress slutty once a while, trust me!

Aww, I’m sad this place is closed. I liked this place, it was my first Vietnamese sandwich shop that I discovered after learning to drive. Me and my friends had driven from Union City down to Tully on the little driving experience I had after our classes in high school. it’s been so long. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — Excellent service and the ladies always look as though they enjoy their job. Looks cold though. But I love the unlimited tea.

There service is good, the girls are alright, I like the music that they played. There drinks are a tad pricey, but its okay, the tea was real addicting and good and still good after like 6 glasses. They had the air and vents on circulating the room so everyone that was smoking it didn’t smell so bad. I like the one on mclaughlin more but for the first time at cheo leo wasn’t so bad. My dad told me there known for gangs and slanging dope but who knows. The workers were very friendly and they were on top with refilling the cups of tea.

First time at this place. Previous reviews sounded good so thought I would check it out. Plus it is right next to Café Quyen So it was easy for me to find. . So I made my way over and into the open door. Lots of room inside with lots of tables and chairs. But only a few people in there (maybe 5 – 6. I found a table with a good location and sat down. A nice looking girl came out to wait on me. She was tall and thin(not too thin) with long hair. She was wearing a white thong and bra and a short lacy thing over the top. Nice pair of T’s. For a while she was the only girl I saw and thn finally saw another short girl with short hair. She was not as nice as the other girl. She was wearing a dark colored bra and thong. Both girls were mostly out of site in the backroom unless they were serving. A few more people did come in but it was fairly slow. Finished my coffee paid and left. Girls were OK but not always visable. Place was well decorated. I was there from about 8 – 8:30am

CHEOLEOCAFE Of all the Vietnamese coffee shops out there, Cheo ranks at the bottom of the pile. Unfortunately located next to Café Quyen, which hosts a bunch of half-naked girls, Cheo boasts some sorry-looking servers who usually stand outside the café and try to talk customers into going in. Nah, don’t bother! Coffee tastes pretty much the same as in all the v-cafes, so if the service isn’t 5-Star Eye Candy, don’t bother coming here.

Quyen might have taken my Coffee Shop Virginity but Cheo Leo because I smoke. I think the drinks are a little more expensive then next door, but don’t be cheap.

Café Su Da was pretty good. It came in a small ass cup packed with ice! The lady who greeted us in white lingerie with a white fishnet top was nice(she had brown hair with highlights and bangs). She spoke as if she was deaf… I’m not trying to mean, it’s the truth! I’ve never been to these cafes before and maybe it was because I was there with a bunch of guys but not one girl was«overly friendly» ifyouknowwhatimean. We had a table outside so a friend could smoke even though they smoked inside… who’d want to go inside anyway, they were playing some old school Vietnamese music and it was littered with old Vietnamese guys in baseball caps. Baseball caps won’t hide your face on Cheaters, ya know!

My very first time at a Vietnamese Café with half naked girls. This place smelled so foul inside! Like sour body odor mixed with a kind of a bathroom smell. My three other comrades tried to convince me otherwise, but I swear I wasn’t being delusional! Also, this place is the perfect hideout for shady, skeevy, and sketchy men. Especially old men. Let’s just say it’s not really where the average teenager hangs out. All of them happened to stare at my female friend, perversion gleaming in their eyes as some of their gazes fell to her chest. Uh, disgusting! Keep in mind that we were all just mere teenagers!(Minus Hung, that is.) The waitresses weren’t really that friendly. My female friend asked for a simple hug and wanted to thank her properly for the experience, but she gave her a unappealing look and said«You’re not allowed to touch us.» We’re freaking kids for chrissake! It’s not like we were going to sexually harass her. The bill came out to be around 20 dollars for two drinks! Rip off! My first and last time here!

I love this place! I found out about it because my favorite coffee girl switched places about a year ago, and asked me to look for her here. Cheo Leo features what you’d expect from this kind of coffee place: good strong coffee, lots of plasma TVs, cute scantily clad waitresses, and the option to smoke inside. What sets it apart is the friendly service and the comfortable chairs — most places I’ve been to feature hard rickety chairs — Cheo Leo has a number of couches upon which to lounge, which is a plus. Another plus is that they do offer a limited menu of snacks & sandwiches.
