History
Established in 1934.
City National Civic in San Jose, California is managed and operated by San Jose Theaters, a division of Team San Jose. A designated City Landmark, this venue regularly hosts shows from Nederlander Concerts as well as other organizations.
The Who kicked off their first headlining tour of the U.S. here in 1968. This historic venue has also hosted The Rolling Stones, Frank Sinatra, Bob Dylan, Barbra Streisand and many more.
A major, $ 15 million renovation led to a grand re-opening of the Civic in October, 2012. In December of 2013, its name officially changed from San Jose Civic to City National Civic.
