Clyde’s Liquor

My «go to» spot in the neighborhood. Singh is the man! Always super courteous and funny. He sure creates a home like environment. Clydes also carries one of the best selections in the area and they try to beat bevmo’s prices. Win win.

Clyde’s Liquor has the usual display of micros, generics, and domestic beers. some liquors priced, some not. above average selection of microbrews, big bottles and six packs. many domestics priced by «ads» posted on glass doors

This place gets the job done. The filipino guy cards you (lol duh, just letting you know). Wide selection of alc for a great price.
What I don’t like are the bums that fight for your spare change (and try to shake your hand). Okay, I know this is san jose but… idk. There is also a taco truck that parks here. Pretty cool!

Come here every once in awhile to get the common stuff at a liquor store. Pack of cigarettes, nice cold bottle of Hennessey, and a 18 of coors. I use to like to come to this place when the old owners where here, Kang. They change the owners here a few times and it’s just not the same. Don’t get me wrong these people are cool too, just hasn’t been the same since the old owner was here.
I still come here every now and then to get the usual. Keep in mind stuff isn’t cheap here compared to next door «Save Mart» but it’s a liquor store and it’s a little more convenient.

whenever i’m around the area this is go to spot. the service here is dope. it may look all rundown and ghetto but don’t let that fool you. they even went to the distance of changing my $ 100 to $ 20’s without hesitation

They have hennesey here. My favoriteeeeee.

The people here are nice but I feel like they always watch you while you browse through the aisle. Nevertheless, they are very nice. They have a wide selection of alcohol which is good! Lots of goodies and the prices aren’t outrageous. They also have chilled bottles in the fridge!

They no longer have Hunid Racks. This was a painful blow to me. But they have a good selection and as many others have mentioned, chilled liquor. Prices arent great but better than average for a liquor store.

Clyde’s has blessed us with chilled goose! You heard me! They chill it!!! SO GENIUS!!!

when walking by here, it looks all shady with the fenced windows and such. but, i understand that sometimes, its necessary due to the type of customers or residents that frequent this place.
this place totally totally rocks because their customer service is extraordinary. i never thought that a liquor store could have customer service, but this place does.
there is this one viet guy who super nice, funny, and easygoing. after the first couple visits of buying some Bud Light beers, Coronas, Miller Light beers, the viet guy suggested my man to try «Mickey ICE». guess what. that became my man’s FAVORITE new drink for such a long time. he even would crave it regularly!!! My man likes beers and so he got really hooked on that one. Also, the viet guy suggested to try their peppered beef jerky in this large plastic box near the cashier counter. oh mi goodness. my man and I both got hooked for months on this beef jerky!!! its insanely good. I’ve moved out of the area, but I will always remember the friendliness and helpful suggestions to try other brands. This liquor store is exceptional. Great customer service.

I dont really know! Drinking in the car on the way home? Drinking in the parking lot? Im not really sure what the advantage of chilled would be to the non drunks but I think its cool. Har har.

Drunk Daves bottom line– I bought a chilled bottle of rum and on the way to my car the bag ripped and the bottle shattered. After I stopped crying I explained to the owner and he gave me another bottle for free.
