DASH-Downtown Area Shuttle

Convenient and free! Only negative is it does not run on time and I swear the drivers love to mess with you. Also don’t expect them to stop at every stop. You have to pull the cord or they will fly on by. Actually even if you request a stop they might fly on by but they will get you close if you point it out.

Convenient, free and always on time. If you want to travel within San Jose Downtown between the Caltrain and SJSU, this is a great option. Have used it several times and have always loved how quickly you can commute within San Jose for free. Most drivers are very friendly and will help you out with directions especially if you are new in town.

This shuttle goes around downtown from San Jose State University to San Jose Diridon Caltrain Station. There are «DASH» placards posted along the blue shuttle’s pathway that indicates the stops.
Most of the riders are students and workers in the area. You’ll see the drunkard homeless type time to time, but it’s free. What do you expect?
Beware, they don’t operate during the weekends.

Love the DASH! I take it to the train station for my commute to work. It’s prompt, comes by very often, and is fast. It’s great to have this free service in downtown. The only downside is that it’s weekdays only, but I can just drive to the station or take the light rail on the weekends.

FREE shuttle from the Caltrain Station (Diridon) to SJSU/​SJ Library (4^th & San Fernando) and back. Great service provided and very much appreciated for it’s existence. No payment necessary and arrives frequently to designated bus stops throughout downtown route. What more can I say? It’s FREE!
