Dippin’ Dots Ice Cream

Boo. Excited to see a dippin dots locale on the Unilocal search. I show up and it’s a yogurt place. Guess Ill have to keep getting my dippin dots at the Sharks games then!

A bit hard to find and it’s not actually a dippin dots store. It’s in a small yogurt place that sells dippin dots! So don’t go looking for a dippin dots sign!
They have a bunch of flavors, more than I’ve seen in many places! As expected, it is still pricy, but dippin dots are always worth it! We drove all the way here because I didn’t know that Bluelight Cinema, a small movie theater near my house, sold them, but the trip was worth it!
There are some seats you can sit at, and the time I went, only one other person was there and the lady sits in the back room until customers come. She was pretty friendly, and my boyfriend tried dippin dots for the first time in his life!

Who doesn’t love dippin dots?! It’s awesome, but WAAAAY over priced. That’s why I’m giving this place only 4 stars.
Come on Tuesday’s to get dippin dots discount!

Ok, I don’t know if the dippin dots ice cream store still exists but If you want the cake: call the number listed (408) 348‑7705. The lady that used to own the Dippin’ Dots Ice Cream store (Tracy) now sells it from her home. I know it sounds shady and ghetto but it’s true! lol There’s even the Dippin Dots Ice cream trailer on the side of her house! i think you can even see it on google maps lol! you would stalk too if you have to pick up a cake from some unknown place!
I suppose I can put her address on here but that is probably not a good idea. It’s in South SJ close to Blossom Hill area. You have to order in advanced and pick up at her house. $ 38 for 10″. Flavors are: banana split, rainbow, cookies n’ crème. If you want half and half it’s $ 48. It was pretty easy ordering also. She calls you back and she texts. Easy.
Yes, it was kinda scary but it turned out OK. And the cake was DELICIOUS! Like dippin dots ice cream but a lot more! There is no actual «cake» on the ice cream cake. It was pretty much dippin dots ice cream all over with cookie crumbs about 1″ on the bottom layer. If you want something different than a regular ol’ bday cake, even something different from the usual ice cream cake, get the dippin dots ice cream cake! It’s really good!

Yes this place still exists! Its actually called Naturaland Yogurt or something. They do serve dipping’ dots. They also have frozen yogurt, ice cream and boba tea :)
The owner is super nice.
They’re open 7 days a week

I love this place and I freaked out when I found out there was a store in San Jose. I wish it were cheaper though but I’m still a HUGE fan. Some people don’t understand why I like it so much and say it just tastes like normal ice cream but they just don’t understand that it’s the ice cream of the future :)

I didn’t know there was a dip n dots store! I was lookin up ice cream after our yummy BBQ dinner (thank you Unilocal!) and this appeared!
First I felt so bad for the whole plaza! It was so lonely! I think dip n dots needed to do a better job promoting or something cause the boy and I never even knew of this place!
Anyway, the girl in there was so nice and helpful! I give her 3 stars already! Then the other one is for all of the good flavors! I walked out with banana split and the boy had java delight! Both amazing!

Dippin’ Dots has a storefront. As if they weren’t already awesome.
AND they’re right next door to my favorite theather (the Almaden CineLux)! So I’ve developed my own little tradition where I go to Terrific Tuesdays at the CineLux ($ 4.50 for a ticket all day long) and then I get Dippin’ Dots after the movie. AND Tuesdays are double punch days too!
(That means I can usually get a free ice cream every 6 weeks since I *always* get ice cream after my movie and there are 12 punches on the card.)
CineLux Terrific Tuesdays + Dippin’ Dots double punch Tuesdays = an awesome Tuesday every Tuesday.

Went here a lot lately. Since it’s like the only one around, it can’t get better then this. Having only gotten it in Ranging Waters or Great America, this place rocks for its price. So many flavors and different combos. They can make almost any thing. There’s also shakes and ice cream too :)

I hate it when the server flattens out the top of the bowl of dippin dots and it touches their hands. Gross.

I love Dippin Dots it’s pretty far off from where I live, but it’s worth the drive. The banana split is amazing, and on Tuesday’s you get double punches on your frequent buyer card =)
They also have cool creations, but I’m oldschool & always stick with banana split.

My friend Kat and I stopped in here after lunch. This was my first time at this particular location. We both sampled a few flavors. I ended up getting the medium sized banana-​split & cookies and cream. The banana-​split is artificially flavored so its allergy friendly. The location is clean. The Dippin Dots are tasty.

Rolling Dots to Dip Your Spoon or Tongue In
Best thing about getting your dots fix here is the ability to mix and match all the flavors or try the suggested blends. Flaming Flamingo was an awesome blend of Pink Lemonaid and Raspberry I would totally recommend. Carmel Brownie Sunday or Cookies ‘n Cream have fun oreo or brownie pieces mixed in for a different experience. Since the dots are so small, sometimes when your chowing on a flavor you get a runaway dot from another variety, like hey I got a mint dot in my chocolate. This can be a fun surprise game like name that runaway flavor? When you get dots at the HP Pavilion it happens a lot more than here, but they do roll, so what do you want. Dipping Dots cake was too sweet and I didn’t like it, but perhaps a 10 year old might dig it. My favorite way to eat the dots is to dip my tongue in the cup and see what sticks to it.

I’ve seen this shop many times as I am coming and going from the gym that is in the same parking lot and I think to myself, «mmm… I love me some dippin’ dots,» but I have never so much as walked into this place until this past Saturday. I guess it’s the fact that I was always there for the gym that made me feel bad for even thinking about wanting to stop at an ice cream shop on my way out of the lot hehe.
Anyway, I was planning on attending the Unilocal event that was taking place earlier in the day which coincided with the 2^nd anniversary sale of their wonderful dots, but I sadly ended up showing up after the place had been emptied of Unilocalers.
That didn’t stop us from taking advantage of the lower price though! Who knew that there were so many flavors of dots available for consumption? I tried about 4 different kinds before settling on my mix of banana split and root beer float (yeah, not sure they go together, but I couldn’t decide between the two).
This is a great treat for every once in a while. Not sure that I would pay the regular prices, but the anniversary prices were just about right. The staff was awesome, very sweet and very patient while I was blankly amazed at the rows and rows of different buckets of dots trying to make a choice.
I hope this place stays around for a long time to come purely because of it’s staff, though I can’t see this place being a high priority snack spot when people are penny pinching like we all are.

Known as the «Ice Cream of the Future», Dippin’ Dots is a flash-​frozen in liquid nitrogen delight. I was there with the usual bunch of crazy Unilocalers having a tasty, refreshing treat. My only times eating this were at Sharks games and I was surprised to learn that Dippin’ Dots had franchises popping up. I guess the «Ice Cream of the Future» is starting to catch on.
My order was one of their combo selections, the Choco-​Mint Cookie (medium sized), which was half Mint Chocolate, half Cookies ‘n Cream w/​Oreo’s. Texture is much smoother than conventional ice cream because of the lack of air incorporated into it. It was delicious and I enjoyed the mini pieces of Oreo’s. Although by the time I was almost finished my tongue was definitely numb from the freezing temperature of the ice cream. It’s different, it’s good, and something I’ll get from time-​to-​time.
The owners were nice and pleasant with smiles on their faces. They took a photo of us and posted it on their employee wall. I’m a bit concerned though that the next time I go in there they might have me work for my order.

We stopped in yesterday to meet with our Unilocal*family. It was my first time inside of an actual Dippin Dots ice cream shop and I could not believe my eyes! So many flavors to choose from! I sampled a few, but went with my favorite– Rainbow, and then added some Cotton Candy flavored dots to the mix. I didn’t notice that there are flavor creations until after I had ordered. The owners are SUPER nice and the employees are super eager to assist! We signed up for the frequent buyer cards so we will most definitely be back!
PS– They have a bathroom! A CLEAN bathroom! There ain’t no restroom inside of a Baskin Robbins. I’m not trying to be a hater– but I’m just sayin…

Went today due to the anniversary they held.
$ 1 for a small cup, $ 2 for a medium and $ 3 for the large
What a deal! And there wasn’t even tax, it was great. (But that was because we took it To Go.)
The place was clean and the staff was very friendly. They even offered samples of the not-​so-​usual Dippin’ Dots flavors; such as root beer and Java Junction.
A let down of mine was the limited seating, I witnessed many customers standing trying to enjoy their ice cream. Oh well!
Never knew Dippin’ Dots had a shop in SJ, so glad I came across it.

After the unsatisfying experience at the 2008 Gilroy Garlic Festival, my sisters and I pondered our next venture while stuck in traffic. The first thing that came to mind was… man, dippin dots would be awesome… but they only sell those at amusement parks… right? WRONG! Thank you SJ for having a Dippin Dots shop! Seriously, I thought the only other place they had it was in Monterey…
It lifted our spirits… :) Had the strawberry, rasberry sorbet and mint chocolate all neatly separated but stuffed into one cup. The icy-​cold capsules of creamy ice cream brought back childood memories and had me smiling from ear to ear. I wish they had one in the east bay. Our server was super nice, too. I really liked my combo~~my sister tried the birthday cake flavor, which we all thought was way too sweet. Kinda tastes like those $ 8.99 cakes at Safeway or Luckys.
Please open one in the bay area!

Yeah, I had my first dippin’ dots ice cream today. I never really thought to try it before, but after dinner today my friend said to our group, «OOOH!!! Let’s go to Dippin’ Dots!!!» After a bit of hesitation and checking the hours on my friend’s iPhone, we all went. My friend said it’s the only standalone Dippin’ Dots shop in the Bay Area. I’m not sure if that’s true… and too lazy to check right now.
Anyways, I tried several different flavors, and ended up getting half java and half cookies ‘n cream. A pretty good combo I think. S’mores was good too, and root beer float really tasted like one. One of my friends got birthday cake and that really tasted like one too, but I’m not a big fan of American birthday cakes so… yeah.
They had a whole list of recommended combos with creative names. A lot of different choices!
$ 3.30 for a small size cup. Cute chairs and tables here! So… futuristic. Haha.

It was the 20Th year anniversary when i came thru. They were giving out free cups of birthday cake flavor (not bad).
Now I don’t need to spend 80 $ on admission to get inside of great America just to try some dippin dots now a actually store exists! Although I got a free cup of birthday cake I wanted to try something else so i got a cup dippin dot root beer float and they use the best root beer (A&W)
I have never seen so many flavors before. They have a dippin dots cake too! You can get them by the slice!
