I would have to agree with the other reviewers… this place was bomb a few months ago, but recently the truck disappeared and now is back. I think this place has switched ownership because they taped a new menu over the existing one. Recently I ordered some food and it turned out horrible. I had a carne burrito and it was packed with sodium! Way too salty. Ingredients were not fresh either. The nice thing about this place is that they make your order on the spot. Portion sizes are fair with pricing but for the quality of food I’d go elsewhere.

This place is perfect for a quick, cheap bite. I’ve only had their tacos but they are a great value. Both times the meat has been slightly dry but very flavorful. The tortillas are definitely a strength. Pretty much a great taco from a truck. What isn’t to love?

:EDIT: So this place used to be goddamn awesome. Then it changed ownership, and menus, and now lacks the quality it once had. No sauces to be seen, nothing more exciting than your usual greasy taco truck fare. Shame. :ENDEDIT: Quite simply, they have the best tortillas i’ve ever had that aren’t hand made by my mexican mother. This MAKES a taco, as anybody who likes tacos can attest. Combine that with their excellent sauces and good prices, you’ve got a winner. I also had their asada quesadilla and it was perfectly made. Most places use carne asada that is very chewy or full of gristle. Not the case here. I can’t wait to go back to try their burritos and have more of their sauces!

This truck is parked on the same corner as Mandy’s Korner. I stopped by one day to try Mandy’s but she wasn’t there so I decided to try El Pirata. They share a tent with tables under it to eat. The truck advertises handmade tortillas. We got a couple tacos and they are pretty huge. No wonder they were $ 2 each. Fresh tortillas really make a taco. We tried pastor and asada and the meats were pretty good. I got a burrito too and it was gigantic. They have several salsa but the best one is the orange colored one. At first I was thinking, «wth? orange salsa?» It’s has a perfect kick and very flavorful. It’s the best salsa I’ve ever had!!! Hope they don’t notice me there next time I’m there and I walk away with several small containers of orange salsa! I went back to try Mandy’s and found some business cards with a coupon on it Buy 3 tacos or 1 burrito and get a free drink. The coupons were on the long table under the tent.
