I had already made up my mind I wanted a speed queen washer and dryer, and empire is the only game in town. When I went in Andy made sure he gave me all the information about the reputation of SQ. the delivery set up was when I wanted it. My husband and I are very satisfied with empire appliance! Nice that it was a small business.

My wife and I were shopping for a washer and dryer and ooo boy we got lucky, found a good deal and to top it off my washer and dryer was deliver during the time I chose and Install for me. My wife and I now do laundry weekly haha good day!

Like other reviewers, I was in search of a Speed Queen washing machine from an authorized dealer. Empire Home Appliances only had one SQ washer and dryer set on display in the showroom, but the owner of Empire Home Appliances, Andy, was very knowledgeable and had product information for the whole line. Additionally, they were all in stock, available for next-​day pick-​up or delivery. Great price on the washer, but be advised that they do charge for local delivery+installation services.

I just moved into a new house and I was in dire need of new appliances. I got a good deal on all stainless steel kitchen appliances and a Speed Queen washer and dryer. My kitchen looks beautiful and the washer and dryer are so quiet, I can’t even tell when they’re on! I heard that Speed Queen is the high end brand used in laundromats and that there are very few dealers that carry them in San Jose. Empire definitely gave me the best deal because other big stores either didn’t have that certain brand (like Speed Queen) or their prices were higher when I compared them. I have so much fun when I cook because everything is so beautiful in my dream kitchen!

This is one of the few authorized dealers for Speed Queen washers and dryers (SQ makes commercial grade washing machines for the home market). The buying process was a bit informal — we were rushed and had to do it entirely over the phone so we don’t know what their showroom looks like. But they matched the price of the other Speed Queen dealer and delivered and installed all without any problems. The fact that this is a small local business is a plus.

I bought several appliances at this place over the past few years. One being a dishwasher which was an open box with a 30 day warranty. i bought it, ran it a couple times and called back this place to mention it wasn’t running right, they claimed it was the installation. So, as a test, I replaced it with a known working unit and the replacement worked very well. This unit they sold me was never working properly. So I returned it, which happened to be after the 30 day warranty since this process took so long and Empire Appliance literally didn’t offer me a penny, not even a discount on future appliances, which I need soon and will never buy again from this seller…

Empire beat every price I gave them for a combination of a stainless steel refrigerator, dishwasher, stove and also a Speed Queen washer and dryer :) My coworkers told me about getting a lifetime, heavy duty commercial washer. This was the only dealer in San Jose who carries Speed Queen so I’m happy I got it.
