Enlightenment Studio

My little brother takes guitar lessons here, and every time I pick him up he raves on about how much fun he had.
I would definetley recommend this place for anyone’s child that’s interested in music and/​or art. Everyone there is very friendly and makes my little brother feel at home!

My son has been going here for about 3 months now. This has done wonders for my son. My son is top in his class with math and brought home the Math Master in his grade. He goes here 3 days a week after school. He also takes guitar lessons from Verde who does a great job. Verde and all staff are great with kids. My son loves going here and is advancing well in his guitar lessons. This location is conveniently located. Prices aren’t sky rocketing and they are VERY Reasonable. I suggest trying this place. I don’t regret it and I am glad I found this place on Unilocal

If you’re looking for an affordable place for music, art, or academic tutoring, you can’t go wrong here.
The first thing you’ll notice upon walking in here is the homely vibe which is unique from other stiff, commercialized studios I’ve been to.
They have an afterschool program where you can send your kids to recieve tutoring and foster their social skills and creativity. The kids sit around multiple tables in which they can ask any of the tutors working for personal help! They’ll also get their homework checked and you can even request for the tutors to focus on a specific field with the tutors. After they’re done with their homework, they can read, paint, play basketball in back, or recieve 1 on 1 help from one of the tutors.
The employees who work here are really friendly and will go above and beyond to make sure you and your child are satisfied!
El Verde, the owner, is a quirky dude who’s really patient and good with children. He’s usually giving music lessons but you can find him overseeing the studio throught the day too. The head tutor, Andrew, has a passion for teaching kids and will make sure that your child stays on top of his/​her schoolwork. The afterschool tutors are really well knowledged. They are all esteemed students who really know what they’re talking about.
And let’s not forget the complimentary snacks and drinks… there’s water, a fruit basket filled with apples, pears, bananas, and oranges. There’s also a jar full of cereal and a SNOW CONE MACHINE!!!
In the recreation room, there’s a TV and PS3 as well as a plethora of books for all ages. There’s also a computer that the kids can use to research or look things up.
Overall, ⁵⁄₅!

I have been taking weekly guitar lessons with El Verde for around 8 months. He is an excellent teacher: very patient and sincere yet he challenges you– which is essential to learning an instrument. I took lessons briefly with a couple other instructors, and some group lessons where I bought my guitar, but El Verde is by far the best teacher. He and the staff are all very friendly and seem to work well with the kids that come in for tutoring/​arts/​lessons, etc.

As Unilocal would say, «this place is really as good as it gets!!»
I brought my little brother here for his math tutoring, and did this place work wonders!
He brought his grades up in math from D’s and F’s to A’s and B’s.
The staff here is very helpful and provide an excellent learning experience for the kids. Every time I come by, I see that the other kids are enjoying them selves while learning.
I would recommend this place to anyone who needs a tutor or a music teacher. I came for one of their rehearsals one time and man did it sound amazing!
Once again, thank you Verde and his staff for helping out my little brother… He is a much more confident kid!

I am so glad I found this place my 7 year old and 11 year old go here for tutoring after school and they love it. It’s a learning, friendly, fun and safe environment. The staff here is excellent my kids love them. I couldn’t ask for more. Thanks enlightenment studio!

With California’s diminishing budget for the arts, it’s been harder for kids to explore their creativity. Enlightenment Studio fills that need.
First and foremost, it’s a place for kids to spazz and just create. Whether it’s musically (through piano, voice, guitar, drums, etc) or visually (sculture, charcoal, pastel, crayon, acrylics) there is something for kids to work on. Things as esoteric as graphic design or t-​shirt making, El Verde’s studio fills that need for kids to do what they want to express themselves.
Balancing that side is the academics. Andrew, the head of the academics side, is an excellent teacher. Not only is he erudite and insightful in the way he connects with his students, he can also connect to them in a pop culture sense. From what I’ve observed, his students not only likes him as a teacher but also as a mentor who can couch them through the uglies of growing up.
The results? Productive, academically sound kids who are weird because they’re allowed to express their unique side and are never judged on it.

My son has been here for about a month now and he LOVE’S it. I actually love the place too. They help him with all his homework before any playtime. He also gets to do art work too. The owner is awesome with kids. This place also has the best prices around.

Engaged teachers with a plethora of knowledge, they certainly make the effort to evoke creativity from their students. It’s a small and intimate studio with a very warm and welcoming feel. El Verde, the owner, shows genuine interest in his work, and, with a name like El Verde, has to be out to push the envelope, right?

This place made an artist out of me!!!

Signed my little brother and cousin up for the summer program for art and academics and boy do they enjoy it. The school has what looked like an unlimited supply of art utensils and musical instruments. Each staff member is very knowledgeable in their criteria and will not leave a student unattended. I would recommend this school to children of all ages.

This place is pretty nice! I do not attend here but I recently had to take my little sisters here. I believe I talked to the owner when I brought my little sitsters in (They both take piano and Math, and English). Really chill guy. I used to take my sisters to kumon, but this place seems better since you get more involved in a personal level. Kumon is just way packed! I’ve always had an opinion that the less students per instructor there is, the instructor would be able to focus more on the students. I’ll write another review in a couple months to see how much the little sisters improved.

Great place! I got my first guitar lessons a few weeks ago and I’m definitely continuing until I get better. At first, I was shy because I thought art and music was mostly for kids, but they taught both kids and adults. Its great to get in a quick lesson/​jam session after work. The place was clean and organized. I really felt comfortable and encouraged. The instructors were very helpful and professional.
