This review is long overdue. My wife found Flowers by Janet on Unilocal when we were planning our wedding in 2014. Janet is located very close to my mom’s house, and my brilliant wife thought it would be a good idea to drop off the centerpiece flowers at my mom’s the night before the wedding and have her or my sister bring them to the reception. I had called Janet for a rough estimate on wedding bouquets before we set up a meeting. She quoted prices for small and large bouquets and gave a comparison to other objects for each bouquet to give me an idea of size. As many people said on Unilocal,her prices were extremely reasonable so I promptly set up a meeting.
Our wedding was very small, so we decided to only have 3 bouquets made: 2 for our ceremony and 1 as a centerpiece for the reception. Since my wife and I know very little about flowers, we had no idea what we wanted and we’re often very indecisive, but Janet was extremely patient, understanding, and accommodating throughout the whole process. She asked us questions to get a basic idea of what we wanted as far as colors and flower type and provided helpful information about which flowers would hold up best for pressing (which we mentioned we wanted to do) and in the heat wave we were experiencing at the time, and then she gave us several books and magazines to browse. After looking at pictures for a while, we decided on color schemes and had a rough idea of what we wanted for the centerpiece bouquet. Janet helped us to finalize our decisions and she even gave us the option of 2 medium sized wedding bouquets to lower our cost, which suited us perfectly. After we made our decisions, she took us into her garage and showed us examples of what our flowers might look like to make sure we were satisfied, and we discussed delivery pricing, which was extremely reasonable. She even offered to provide free vases and said that if our centerpiece flowers wilted in the heat before the ceremony, she would do her best to replace them asap the day of the wedding. We gave her a vase to use for the centerpiece flowers, and the flowers were ready the day before the wedding, as promised. On the day of the wedding, she delivered the wedding bouquets on time in a box so they could be more easily transported. She included 2 free vases for the wedding bouquets. The flowers were gorgeous and received many compliments. Our wedding photographer even asked us where we got the flowers. Janet helped make our special day even more special, and we simply can’t thank her enough.

I have to admit that this review is long overdue. Janet has been creating floral magic for my events for years. Each time I reach out to her for an event, she comes through for me with beautiful arrangements. Whether I call with a very specific/​special request for our centerpieces, or call last-​minute asking for arrangements in whatever she thinks will work, she always arrives on time (if not early) with lovely flowers perfect for my tablescapes. She is so patient when I send photos I’ve found with creative ideas like soup cans for vases — she always makes it work and we get compliments on her work at every event.
She really hit a homerun for my wedding last May — from the boutonnieres, to the nosegays, to the table arrangements and even the wedding cake accents, Janet’s flowers were absolute perfection. She listened to my ideas and my color palette and nailed it. She even delivered to two different locations across the Bay Area since I was getting ready at my parents’ house before arriving to our venue and my photographer wanted some shots of the bridal bouquets. The best photographs from our wedding day include the beautiful blossoms that Janet arranged perfectly.
The best part about working with Janet is her warmth and enthusiasm. She makes you feel like more than just a client — she genuinely cares about her patrons, brides, etc. We always have a little visit when she delivers to an event, catching up on family and vacation, etc. I always know I’m in good hands when I call Janet for an event. I’m not sure what I would do without her!

Janet has done 3 corsages for me and they all turned out beautiful! I always forget to order them way ahead of time and she has been able to do it with a couple day’s notice. I highly recommend her!

She did my wedding and it was amazing! She is the best. She really listened to me even though I was not the best at articulating what I wanted.

Janet came highly recommended by a couple of our friends and I must say she will now be highly recommended by us as well! From the get go we knew that she understood our vision and what we wanted for our wedding! So much so that we only had to meet with her once and have a couple of phone conversations right before the wedding. She delivered the most beautiful arrangements that I have ever seen and I wish that I could relive our wedding just to be able to have such pretty flowers again. And not to mention, her prices are amazing and she really goes the extra mile to make things perfect — she delivered all the way to the middle of nowhere in the Santa Cruz mountains! Janet is absolutely amazing. Hands down.
She is extremely nice and does her best to accommodate to your needs. My friends and I were all looking for a affordable place to purchase sets of corsages and boutonnières for our senior prom, and I am so glad I found this place. They are beautiful and extremely well-​made, all for only $ 25 a set. I definitely wished I went here for my junior prom as well, but I am happy I found her this year. I definitely recommend! :)

I had a wonderful experience with Janet (owner of Flowers by Janet). She was very helpful in suggestions as to what would work best with my son’s suit color & his date’s dress color. She made my son’s date a gorgeous white orchid corsage wristlet and I ordered one week in advance. BUT! very last minute, my son’s friend had forgotten about his boutonnière & corsage and Janet whipped up a gorgeous duo within an hour! And it looked just as amazing as my son’s set! I highly recommend going to Janet for your floral needs! She’s professional, friendly and her flowers are simply beautiful!

OMG, I have use Janet service twice already. It is SoOo my fault that I never did write a review. What I can say? Where you guys haven’t read yet. Janet is an AMAZING florist. Best one hands down, since my experiences of buying flower for a few lady friends. ;-)
Ok, let’s get to the point.
If U want trustworthy friendly florist, Janet is the person you should go to Cuz I did. I def will recommend her service any day of the week. My 1^st experience, she didn’t even charge be for vase cuz she worries my arrangement would get all smashed up – wow factor alert. 2^nd time, she actually walk me to the car and helped me loaded my arrangement. She want to make sure the flower wasn’t damage in any way. Wow, I myself work in the Sale and CS industry for many years. U don’t get those kinds of service these days. She is as genuine as they come. Simply an amazing women. I would like to say, «Thank you so much for your services.» I apologize if I didn’t want the review any sooner. We all get caught up in our daily life, where writing a review is not in our priority.
let’s sum this up: If U want affordable, honest, friendly service, NO INTERNET OVER PRICE flowers. Stop by her home, the address is listed. Yeah, phone call is a little bit challenging. let’s just say Phone call is a hit & miss, so stop by during business hour 10 – 5 is good. She will always welcome you. Any special request which I had, she can accommodate to them quick well. I will upload the photo of the arrangement I got from her the 2^nd time. Will I use her service? Most def Would I recommend her service to family and friend. Duh. Hell yea!

What a lovely business! Unilocal finding does it again!
It is so refreshing and nostalgic to find a personable flower business. In the past year, I had the hardest time finding personal flower needs in the San Jose area, either (1) other florist don’t want my individual business because they are too busy with big ticket weddings (*cough* stuck up ones in Fremont) or (2) found a flower shop’s site to place an order, only to have them direct you to 1−800-flowers.
I was lucky to have personal contact with Janet to execute a bouquet for my mom as I was out of town to go buy it myself (aka: from Costco — haha).
I called Janet a day ahead, knowing she would need time to get the proper flowers and we discussed what my mom likes &dislikes on the phone. The delivery charge was reasonable as her location & mine was fairly close. She was flexible on delivery time so I picked a time where I know my mom would be home. The flowers came out beautifully. I’m not a flower snob, but I know what type of flowers she didn’t want & Janet picked some beautiful unique flowers that is not commonly seen. And for around $ 65 — my mom received a nice, tall, grand bouquet with vase. 5 stars because I am very pleased with the whole process. I believe her contact number on Unilocal is a home number, so just be polite & ask for Janet’s flower business & the family members on the phone are very nice to help to get her. I will definitely be making more calls to her in the future for my flower needs.

Janet is amazing and an absolute pro in the business! Living in NYC with the wedding in the Bay Area, I had to call and email with her several times to convey what I wanted, the style I was going for, etc. and she was quick to respond, super easy to work with and super accommodating! I finally got back to CA the week before the wedding and went to visit Janet with my sister and mom. She sat down with us and went over all the corsages, boutonnieres, and my bridal bouquet details with us — she even threw in a free toss bouquet! The morning of, she had all the flowers packaged in vases and water, boxed, and ready to pick up by one of my bridesmaids at 8 am. I was so pleasantly surprised at how incredibly beautiful all the arrangements were, especially when I went over final details with her 4 days before the wedding! Best of all: her prices are the best I’ve seen. EVER. And the arrangements look like those from a floral shop 2 times the price!
Basically an amazing wedding vendor who I would recommend to any of my family and friends in the Bay Area. I don’t live in the area anymore, but if I ever need floral services, I will definitely be calling Janet!

Best service I’ve ever received anywhere! I wish I had more people to deliver flowers to in the San Jose area just because I had a great experience with Janet.
My friend just got her wisdom teeth pulled and I wanted to get her some flowers the day of the surgery. Speaking to Janet on the phone was easy. Asked what I was looking for, colors, type of flowers. She said she would try her best to get what I wanted and she delivered. She also went above and beyond that and just really made my friend’s day. Can’t thank you enough!

Janet is AWESOME! If you’re looking for a florist in the San Jose area look no further. She was so sweet and very accommodating when placing the order and throughout until the flowers were delivered. She made the prettiest little bouquet for my friend who is having a rough week. I also asked her if she could send a bottle of wine and she did with no problem, and kept me in the loop the whole time about what type of wine she was getting ect. I live in Sacramento but needed to send flowers from my friends birthday and she lives in San Jose. I did a search and found Janet on Unilocal.Called her & had an extremely pleasant conversation about the colors of the flowers the type of vase I wanted. Her attention to detail is wonderful! Plus she was just so easy to talk to.
I also let her know I wanted flowers there at the very start of the business day. She made sure that the flowers arrived not more than one hour after my friend started work.

We had chose Flowers by Janet for our April wedding. We had to plan our wedding on the opposite coast and Janet was so wonderful and flexible with the planning process. It made everything so much easier and stress free. We exchanged multiple emails and were able to work out all the details including bouquets, corsages, boutiennieres, presentation bouquets, reception flowers, and cake flowers. The flowers came out wonderfully and everything was beautiful. My bouquet was gorgeous!

I was looking for flowers to cheer up a girlfriend and called in around 1pm today and just said light colors around lavender and white. the flowers were delivered around 4pm and they were absolutely gorgeous! Had to jump on here right away and upload the pictures. Thank you so much Janet!
