Frank L.

Business Owner

Frank Leonardi, Licensed Acupuncturist, has over 20 years experience with acupressure, nutrition and Oriental bodywork. As a result of his extensive and varied training, he brings a depth of understanding and an intuitive level of awareness to his practice. In a comfortable setting, Frank takes time to listen to his patients’ needs, and encourages them to take part in the healing process themselves. He received his license in Traditional Chinese Medicine through the California State Tutorial program and is nationally certified in acupuncture. Frank also received a massage certificate in Tui Na acupressure from the Acupressure Institute. He completed a two-​year apprenticeship in cross-​cultural healing at the Transformative Arts Institute and two years of study at the East-​West Center for Macrobiotics. Frank is a Reiki Master and teaches ongoing Reiki classes. He has also been on the faculty at Trinity College, Five Branches Institute and American School of Herbalism.

I have been going to Frank for several years now. He is a wonderful acupuncturist and herbalist. He has helped with various problems… from colds to back pain and COPD. He is very easy to talk with and knows right away what his treatments will be. When I leave his office I am relaxed… I feel better and sleep better after my visit. As I said, I have been going to his office for years and plan to go whenever I have a problem

I found Frank via Unilocal just about a year ago, so I thought it was time to give back by doing a review myself. I had also heard good things from a few friends at work. On first visit and every time since the office has been professional, great décor, relaxing music, convenient, and scheduling is no hassle, all in the plus column.
He gradually and naturally helped me overcome my significant initial resistance to the concept of needles (!) and now when I go for an acupuncture treatment I will even fall asleep. He has helped me over time with a series of issues including intestinal/​digestion, fatigue and diet /​herbal advice. I keep coming back because I feel better after every visit.
Not only is he well versed in Traditional Chinese Medicine but he also has practical and in-​depth knowledge about herbal remedies, whole food supplements and nutrition. I have also found his absolutely positive and supportive attitude about my own healing to be a significant boost.

I was very happy that I found Frank. I came to him with a major cough, major sinus issues and digestion issues… basically a mess. lol! With weekly (1 per week) acupucture and some herbs for about four weeks (4 treatments) they went away. yay!
He is very patient, knowledgable and takes his time to explain everything, which is awesome.
My Mom also went to him for vertigo and energy issues and it really helped as well:-)

Focus on stress issues.
When I leave Frank’s office I am ready to face the day, from fewer pains (especially my jaw) to being less stressed and angry.
He also doesn’t just do your treatment and send you on your way, he talks to you about your problem habits, mine is eating and taking the herbal medicines, so we review that each time.
And he’s gentle and explains what he’s doing so it’s not scary for a newbie!

I was quite skeptical at first about accupuncture but was in need of regulating my menstrual cycle and digestion problems. I wanted to approach the issue as natural as possible. He helped me with my severe menstrual pain without medication just herbs! This is truly a healing center, and apart from feeling relaxed after each session i learn so much from him. Try to pick his brain, every minute with him is worth it! Awsome experience :)

I started visiting Frank at Dao Healing Center about 6 years ago. My sister met him first and was going to him for nerve pain in her back. She said he had «magic hands!» He relieved much of her pain and told me to go see him for my lower back pain. She was so right! The first time I had treatment from Frank he fixed my problem. I wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t experienced it myself. I’ve seen Frank every 4 – 6 weeks since then for a whole body tune up. He keeps my mind, body and spirit in a positive and healthy mode. Frank is great and his acupuncture has really helped me. At first he was treating me for some intestinal issues but I also noticed that I felt more energetic and clear-​headed. So even though the intestinal things are cleared up, I keep going back — I think that it helps me stay healthy and going strong. I’ve also visited him when I had a respiratory virus and it was helpful to relieve the symptoms. He’s also knowledgeable and helpful for food supplements and vitamins. On top of all that, he’s also a really interesting, calm, helpful and nice guy. I recommend him!

Frank and the Dao healing center are one of the best accupuncture center in the south bay. As a student of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and a long term patient, I am happy to give a review of Frank’s practices, stengsive knowledget and ability to explain what is really happening with the energy and health of your body. Frank has been practicing, teaching and mentoring many people in the Bay Area. I highly recommend Frank for accupunture, accupressure and herbology.

Frank rocks! Every time I see him, I leave relaxed, clear headed & I always feel like a new person. He’s the epitome of a holistic healer. He provides info on how my internal organs function optimally when I’m recieving proper whole food nutrition, acupuncture & herbs.
I recommend ALL my friends in the south bay to go to him first because he’s a wellness doc. If you want to deal with pain, you can see any acupuncturist… but if you want to get to the root cause & learn about real healing, go see Frank!

A first-​timer for acupuncture, I was unsure of what to expect. Frank was thorough in his explanations, the treatment was gentle and effective and I left feeling amazing. I have been going to the Dao Healing center for several years, originally having learned about it through referral from a trusted friend (who has also been going there for years). I had never had acupuncture before but was willing to try anything to manage my work stress – in the time I have been seeing Frank, my career has skyrocketed from an individual contributor to the VP level. I attribute a good portion of that to being better able to deal with things, the ideas for alternatives that Frank gives me, his pep talks (boarding on mini consulting before my treatments), and of course, the acupuncture itself which allows me to finally (!) rest. If you are hesitant about needles, get the acupressure (which my husband now does). I’d recommend to anyone interested in pursuing better health and mental well being.
