G.W. Hellyer Elementary School

I love the nice playground they have and the big spacious black top with walls where kids can play hand ball.
I think it’s nice how they remodeled the area for the little kindergardeners.
It’s located in a nice little neighborhood kind of tucked away which seems nice and safe.
I walk by this school all the time on my morning walks.

Mrs. Lane, former Principle, was awesome!, but the new Principle is awesome too, Mr. Merza! Very patient and great with the kids. Love Mrs. Kwan & Ms. Do. Great teachers! Also, Miss. Maria in the front office, very friendly and patient. My brother, sister, and I all attended Hellyer Elementry and then my two kids both attended Hellyer and they have met a lot of great friends there.

so anyway my child went to school yesterday after being out of school for a week i pulled her out cause what she got for valentine day was a black so im thinking to myself if she is just going to get beat up at school why send her there so instead of hellyer elm calling me they decided to call the cops and cps they asked me if i gave my baby girl a black eye and they said i yelled at her at school i never did this at all i would never say this to any one or about anything but i HATE this dam school before this my child was called a nigger has been beat up more than i can count and the only response i get is she need to stop drolling and be more social and not talk so much in class i want to do home school but i have no money for that besides this school only cares about 45 bucks a student

A very good school in the area. I brought my two cousins there to get enrolled in school and the teachers and staff at this school were extremely helpful. My two cousins do not speak english and the teachers were very understanding and made sure that students helped them learn english and to help them understand the work that was taught in class. The office staff are very sweet and caring, they always keep me informed about everything and were very helpful through the process of registering them for school. From other schools I’ve seen, I overall liked G.W. Hellyer Elementary School the best. The principal was very helpful and let me know that there was a program that my cousins could be enrolled in after school that would help them learn english. If you want to enroll your children into a school that really cares about your children, this is most definitely the school to go to.
