Giannone Marble and Tile

My parents had some tile work done at their house as part of a bathroom remodel and I was really impressed by how their new shower and floors turned out on my last visit. I asked who did the work and was told it was done by Joe Giannnne of Giannone Marble and Tile. My dad got his name from a friend that had a bathroom floor done. Joe is the owner of the business and does most of the work himself and I must say it turned out looking great.
The floors were all laid out with 12″ tiles laid at 45 degree angles. He did a great job laying it out in as he explained you want to have more full tiles in the center and as much of a full tile as possible on the edges so he does have a good eye for design and was very patient with figuring the layout with the tiles before actually installing the floor. The shower was done with a combination of mosaics and mostly 12 inch tiles. Joe came up with the idea of doing the upper part of the shower using «brick style» offsets above the mosaic strip about ²⁄₃ of the way up and it turned out looking real pretty.
Joe will talk you through the process involved with the installation as he does the estimating as well, and he patiently explained why the proper slope was important for the shower pan and who to contact to schedule the hot mop process which my parents opted for. He also contacted a plumber and brought along a plumber on one of the days to do some work that also needed to be done in the shower once the tearout was done so there was very little down time in the installation. When the hot moppers came out from Boyer they said that when Joe laid down the initial base for their hot mop he did a great job and made their work a lot easier.
All in all, they said it was a good experience as he did the work in the time frame he promised, was there when he said he would be, cleaned up before leaving everyday, his pricing was reasonable and more importantly, they are very happy with his finished work. Not much more you can ask for when dealing with a contractor working on your home =).
