Quick and easy. I took my Chevy Volt here and the SMOG price was $ 36 + tax + cost of SMOG certificate ($ 8). The price was as advertised.
I don’t understand the other negative feedback about the all-​in cost. When you go to a restaurant, the final bill is always more than the price on the menu because of tax and tip. The same thing when you get SMOGed: you pay tax and the cost of the certificate. Don’t hammer these guys on Unilocal because you had poor/​incorrect expectations.

Best service I’ve ever had. Even though they were about to close, they stayed late and took the time to test my car for me. The employees were very kind, genuine, and the testing itself was fast and easy. Definitely will come back next time I need another smog.

Got a call asking about my missed call/​review. They were apologetic for not being there as their store hours said. Like I said, hard to knock someone who wasn’t there, however, receiving a service call is a little above average in service. Although I already had the service done, this place would still be an option when I need a smog check later on.

I went to Green Star on a Sunday morning. Didn’t have to wait for smog. Test took only about 10 minutes. Employees are very friendly and helpful. I found this place on Unilocal and the prices are more reasonable than some other smog shops I’ve seen. I’ll definitely come back when I’m due for smog again and I’ll refer my family and friends to visit this smog shop.

This place is ridiculous. They said $ 36 but with STAR it’s $ 46 PLUS $ 9 fee if your car pass.
I recommend MT Smoke check only $ 40 out of the door. Called them but wanna try this place first.
NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN! Those guys are F**King CHEATING.

I came here today and will recommend this place to anybody who asks me «do you know of a good smog place?»
They will honor the Unilocal price without you purchasing it via Unilocal.Just mention the price on Unilocal.Ug serviced me today and were a pleasure to work with the entire time I was there which wasn’t very long since I only had one car in front of me.
UG even offered to make me a fresh pot of coffee when he realized the pot I poured from had been sitting out for an hour. Of course, I declined since my expectations are reasonable and nobody should expect piping hot coffee when entering a smog check station. Nonetheless, I greatly appreciated the offer and this is a testament to how much they care about their customers.
Expect to see my face here every two years. Expect to see my referrals here.

For anyone who is looking for a quick, inexpensive and friendly smog test. This is the place for you. I am a 21 year old college and I have never got a smog done before. I did some researching and stumbled upon these guys and all the reviews about these guys are true.
I am relieved on the price because even without having to purchase the online coupon or printing it out, they will honor it! The total came to around 45 dollars, which included the smog and certificate that they immediately send to the DMV.
When I arrived, there were already two cars in front of me but even then it didn’t take long for them to get to my car to service it. At most I believed I waited 30 minutes for the whole thing.
I recommend this for anyone looking to get a fast, cheap and friendly smog test. Coming from a college student with financial strains I was very pleased with the pricing and with my experience here.

You don’t need to get your car tested in a grimy, run-​down facility. You don’t need to deal with lackluster and incompetent workers. When you pay $ 45 dollars for a smog test (with free re-​tests, if failed), you may expect that and simply compromise with the cheap price … but not here. You get the best of both worlds.

The location is a bit scary but they do get the job done fast and cheap.
I found a groupon for $ 29 and they charged me $ 8.50 for some certification fee.
Driving in is a bit difficult since they don’t have much of a lot. I recommend coming in from Keyes and exiting onto 3rd.
There were 2 people ahead of me but I was out of there in 45 mins. So roughly 15 mins /​car.
There is a tire replacement shop next door that will replace your tires with used ones for $ 20 :o

The guy at the desk is polite, the technician seems knowledgeable. I came here because the price was good and open on Sundays (my only day off).
I failed a visual inspection due to an aftermarket airbox that didn’t have a sticker on it. The technician advised me to put the OEM box on and come back. I put the OEM box on and returned the following Sunday. These guys told me they wouldn’t retest me because it is Sunday! There was nothing on the original paperwork that states they do not re-​test on Sunday. I could understand maybe if this place was flooded with business on Sunday, but I was the only one there.
I jumped in my vehicle and went down the street to another smog testing facility and passed.
Do not go here! This place is a scam. I am contacting the BBB, the state referee, CARB, and who ever else I can think of. I’m sure what they did here today was not legal!

Came here again on a Tuesday afternoon. Again had a short wait time. One car ahead of me, one car behind. Overall wait was an hour. I relaxed in the waiting room while my car was tested.
To get here, I took 2nd street south until I got to Keyes. Left onto Keyes and Green Star was on the right.
Have gone here for the past couple years and always recommend this place to my friends. Be sure to mention Unilocal

I swung by Green Star Smog (GSS) early on a Saturday to get my wife’s X3 smogged. There was one customer in the bay as I pulled up, but he was gone by the time I parked. I entered the shop and spoke with Jim, who was about as friendly and helpful an employee I’ve encountered. I mentioned to him about the $ 25-​off Unilocal check-​in, but he suggested that since I had an SUV that the Unilocal $ 36-​for-​$ 89 was a much better value. So, I quickly purchased it thru my app; filled out a quick form; and handed him the keys and DMV paperwork. I started checking my email, and next thing I knew Jim was calling me in from the office telling me the test was all done. We settled up and the total came to ±$ 54 (stupid DMV fees). I was literally in-​and-​out of there in less than 15 minutes – and for someone like myself who hates wasting time on nonsense, it was much appreciated.
GSS does all types (STAR, Test-​only, Regular) of Smog Checks, and are efficient and priced right. Highly recommended.
