H&R Block

The people here, like at most H&R Block locations, are completely incompetent. They plug your tax forms into a computer and have no idea what the end result is supposed to be, and for this they charge $ 150 an hour or more.
For the second year in a row, they said that I owe thousands of dollars to the IRS but have no explanation why except that «I’m not paying enough tax.»
They couldn’t answer simple questions, like how much tax should be withheld from my paycheck. They couldn’t even tell me what tax bracket I’m in. Isn’t it their job to know this stuff?
This year I decided to play it safe and have my taxes redone at another accountant who found that HR Block was off by thousands of dollars. Thank god I didn’t let them fuck up my taxes for a second year.
Don’t waste your money. Get your taxes done with a real accountant.
