The service is always excellent. John has installed and serviced my heater for a long time now. The quality of service has not changed, he is on time, explains what is happening with the unit, and does not try and sell you services you do not need. I will continue to use his service.

I highly recommend this I AM Mechanical HVAC service. John was super friendly, and ready to squeeze me into his busy schedule on a moment’s notice. Excellent communication, curtesy calls before coming, and very clear explanation of the problem and fix. Good information rather than sales pitch at the end. I don’t have a comparison, but price seemed more than fair. He is on my list now.

Recently my home air conditioner stopped working. My husband called another company for an estimate and evaluation of the problem first thinking he could fix it himself if we just needed a part. They located the problem (we needed a new unit) but the price for replacement of the unit was very high. We then called John and Mike in. John offered a more cost effective solution and explained in detail what our options were and what would be compatible with our current heater unit without having to replace everything to bring it up to date. His solution was half the price of the other vendor! Within a few hours they had the new unit installed and ready to go! Not only were John and Mike knowledgeable, efficient, price competitive and on time, they were incredibly enjoyable to work with. I highly recommend their services!

Yesterday our AC stopped working, in the middle of a heat wave. This morning we called around to get it repaired, and got in touch with I Am Mechanical Air at 10am and he arrived here at 11am. My daughter’s birthday party is in 2 days, so I was really hopeful it could be repaired quickly in time for that and wouldn’t cost us an arm and a leg. The guy came by, super nice guy, immediately said our AC fuse was blown, left to go to the hardware store for the right part, came back fast and our AC was back up and running by noon. I didn’t have to pay for anything extra, it was totally reasonable and a big relief! Great service, I will call them again for sure, and I recommend them for sure because I found him super trustworthy.

I recently purchased a home and with the summer months a comin, I began looking for an A/​C unit. I called several A/​C installation places and found I AM Mechanical to be the best deal. Several others were charging 4k — 5k, but, I found a similar unit for half the price thanks to John Mejia, the owner. He helped me out with several different mini split options. And when we ran into problems during installation, he figured out ways to fix the issue.
John was flexible and worked with me when I had time restrictions. He was responsive and got back to me promptly when I left messages. His work was clean and done according to city code. He’s smart and able to troubleshoot problems quickly and he’s easy to work with.

He’s always respectful inside the home and cleans up any mess. He’s responsive and friendly. I feel comfortable recommending him to others looking for a quality HVAC professional.

Our furnace died right in the middle of a cold snap, and with four small kids in the house, it was important to get it up and running — we were so cold and it was 53 degrees in the house! When our regular handyman couldn’t figure out the issue, he recommended John Mejia and called him for us. Within a few hours, John arrived. Half an hour after that, he had our furnace running again and even fixed a few «odd noises» from it that we figured were just part of the deal (we moved into an older house in January of this past year). He let us know about a belt that is on its last leg, but wasn’t pushy to try to fix it immediately. He let me know how much it would likely be and how to recognize when it was «time» (hint, the belt will stop running altogether, haha!). His pricing was very reasonable, and he was very personable and professional. We definitely are keeping his card for any further issues.

I asked Rob Berrett, a general contractor with whom I’ve done business with for years to recommend someone to fix my heating problem. Mr. Berrett is someone I know, trust and respect. He recommended John Mejia and I interviewed him and got an estimate for the job. One of the best things about working with John is that the person that you meet and gives the estimate is the person who is actually going to do the work. He was too polite to offer a senior discount, but when I asked for one, he reduced the estimate by 10 percent. I was very concerned about the work not exceeding the estimate. The amount quoted is he amount that I paid. He seems to be a nice person. He completed his work in one day as he promised. He showed up at the time he said he would. Everything was completed and functioning before he left. I am looking forward to being warm this winter. I am old and he is young so I ended up feeling like a proud parent because he turned out to be a good person.

I had a 10:00 A.M. Appointment yesterday with John to take a look a my non working A/​C, John rolled in a 9:55 A. M. Ready to go. John is always prompt and if he runs into a conflict he will call immediately. I have used John multiple times and say without hesitation he is a hard working, dependable and, very reasonable person to work with.
John got busy and had my AC up and working in short order, he also pointed out that the copper pipe to my AC was tramped into the ground by my ground maintenance personnel. John suggested a fix and took care of the problem immediately.

John did a great job installing our new forced air system including all new duct work, and I would not hesitate to recommend his services. Our situation was a bit unique in that we had a newborn on the way, and we had a hard deadline to finish the install in addition to specific requirements on keeping our place clean. For example, I asked John to do all of the demo work at a very specific time, and to do all cleanup using a special vacuum. I admit this might sound a bit strange, but John never second guessed me, or even laughed at me. Instead he would always tell me that I’m the customer, and that it’s important to him that I’m highly satisfied. I definitely appreciate his professionalism, not to mention that he delivered on all of his promises on time, on budget and with attention to detail; his final product shows that he has pride in what he does. I also appreciate that he left my garage cleaner than when he started.
Thank you John for getting our house ready on time so that we could take our baby home from the hospital. I’m a highly a satisfied customer.

I recently had the pleasure of meeting John Mejia. He worked on our commercial AC unit at our business and did an excellent job. What impressed me the most was that he is so professional, personable and courteous. On top of that he has a network/​team of service persons who are also great at what they do and just as professional and courteous as him. Whenever he came to our place he made sure to call us beforehand and let us know he was on his way. He is punctual and gets the job done.
