inSITE Shredding and Recycling Services

InSITE shredding and recycling services provided excellent, professional, and prompt service right at our door! They contacted me in advance of their arrival, arrived on time, loaded and shredded about 60 lbs of old tax docs, account books, and the like while I watched on the monitor. The price was very good too.

I contacted inSITE Shredding a week ago to shred about 17 banker boxes of old financial documents. Jim followed up within minutes and we scheduled a time that was convenient for me to meet at a storage locker where the boxes had been stored. Jim and Adam showed up today and they were prompt, friendly, courteous and professional. They brought the boxes down from the second story locker, efficiently dealt with the actual shredding and got rid of the empty boxes for me. Their rates are reasonable and the entire process took less than 15 minutes. Outstanding! Highly Recommend!

After trying to shred several boxes of old documents, it became obvious that the job was too large for me. We got in touch with InSITE and within a day they came out and took care of all the shredding. It was so convenient and secure. You can watch them shred the documents. It was nice not to have bad dreams about some document getting into the hands of an identity thief. Great job!!!

Cant think of an easier, more efficient way to shred docs. They made it transparent to us. They come into your home, collect all the papers into a bin (they bring), take the bin to a truck and shred it while you watch — 5min and it is done. $ 70 for 10 boxes and headache free.
when searching for a service provider, their web is the only one that allows me to estimate cost before pursuing; the others required a phone call. the whole process from the point i sent an inquiry through the web till it was done — 1-​hr. friendly and smiling team — they made our day!

Jim was great. Got a quote on the webpage and matched what he said when he got here. Set up a time and he came to my house and was very professional and fast. Great service I would recommend to any one that needs files shredded and don’t have time to take them some place. Great price also!

Five stars for me, everything went as smoothly as can be. Talked to Jim, told him I only had 5 legal-​sized boxes of old records, but that my social security number and bank account numbers and mutual fund account numbers were scattered over many pages, and I just wanted them all shredded in front of me, at my home!
Even though only a small job, they came by in-​between one of their scheduled runs, did the shredding in their big truck — on the spot. Price seemed very fair to me, I think as cheap as hauling in to an Office Depot. But who knows about security at those places?
Can certainly recommend Jim, I think he’s the owner/​operator, not an employee. I’m happy all that stuff is safely shredded!

Insite just left my house. I’m moving, and needed 33 boxes destroyed TODAY. I talked to Jim, and he arranged to come within 2 hours!
The whole process took about a half hour, and I was able to watch everything get shredded.
After that, they cleaned up and took all of the empty cardboard boxes for free. I had another 6 garbage bags full of paper stuff that they took for recycling — also for free. And the price for shredding was less than places that were going to make me bring it to them! I’m extremely happy with the service and feel that they went above and beyond my expectations.

BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! :) I work in local accounting firm and we are in the process of moving offices. We’ve used him for our recycling services for years and he’s always been professional, friendly and accommodating.
Because of our move, we were running out of room in our shredding bins and when we contacted the company we use for that service were told they were not able to bring us more bins OR come more often to empty our full ones. Jim showed up on his usual recycling day and offered to leave more recycling bins if we needed them… or if we needed he could leave a key and we could use them for shredding. WHAT?! I didn’t even know he DID shredding. He left us as many shredding bins as we asked for and said if they got full before the next time he was due to come out to just call him and he’d come empty them. I called him desperately on the morning before he was due to be here and begged him to at least drop off one more bin because we once again ran out of room. He happily showed up, shredded everything and returned the empty bins to us. He is always willing to go the extra mile.
His prices are great … but the customer service is priceless. You don’t need to Unilocal any more Shredding/​Recycling services. Use Jim at inSite!!! He’s the BEST!

This is a great service for residential customers. They shred while you watch, at your home, for a lower price than others. Great!

I Googled around to find a shredding service that would come right to my house. I have eleven boxes of business records going back 14 years. My wife and I have retired and are moving out of California in a few week. I called a couple of other shredders but they needed like two weeks to schedule a truck for this little job.
Called InSite and got a very pleasant but professional-​sounding guy on his cell phone. He said he needed only a couple days lead time. His price-​per-​box was lower than the two other places I called, $ 7.00 a box. That seemed pretty reasonable, especially since he’s picking up my stuff at our garage, and he’s shredding it himself, not dumping it somewhere else. Actually seemed pretty cheap to me.
It worked out just fine, I’m happy. I talked to Jim who runs the business. I found out that he mainly deals with businesses all over the Bay Area, but likes to meet people so enjoys doing one-​off jobs like mine when he can. So he squeezes these little jobs in during his normal routes. He’s very personable.
He said he has a seven box minimum, but that sounds OK. Cost me only $ 77 to get our old records shredded. What a deal! Jim swiped my credit card through his iPhone, didn’t know you could do that. It’s so nice that all those years of paper are shredded and gone from my life!
