History

Established in 1976.

Albie Jachimowicz, the managing partner, was admitted to the State Bar in 1982 and has been both a winning criminal & civil trial lawyer for several years since that time. He is an avid cyclist and specializes in representing individuals involved in cycling accidents. Mr. Jachimowicz has over 25 years of experience in criminal defense as well.

Richard Pointer is a trial tested criminal defense attorney with over 24 years experience practicing exclusively criminal law. He is a certified Criminal Law Specialist, California State Bar Board of Legal Certification, as a Criminal Law Specialist.

Gerald Emanuel is an experienced expert winning trial lawyer emphasizing the areas of sexual harassment and employment discrimination including harassment.

John Hinkle is a founding partner of Hinkle, Jachimowicz, Pointer & Emanuel. Mr. Hinkle retired in January 2013, but his commitment to his clients and to superior service lives on through his namesake firm.

I wonder when Unilocal will start having some negative zero’s cause that’s what this place should have next to their name. I tried the little chat icon they had twice and then filled out their email questionnaire. Never was contacted– from all three tries. Customer service gets a big zero from me and if they can’t contact me how are they going to help me out? I think not. Pretty disappointed with this one.

Horrible customer service. I met with Jerry Emanuel regarding an employment matter. The discussion was pleasant. I left all my paperwork with him. He said he would have to look it over and let us know whether he wanted to accept the case. Fair enough. Gave him 4 weeks, but time was counting because we had only 90 days to file. I called at least a dozen times, with no one returning my phone call. Finally i asked just to come in and pick up my paperwork. Went in, it took 20 minutes to find it, I ask to speak with someone other than the rude secretary but they declined. Regardless of wether or not they wanted the case it is just common courtesy to return phone calls I would look elsewhere if you want someone who works for you and not themselves

Waelty for my consultation, I was very satisfied with the consultation and he answered all of my questions, he’s very knowledgeable and very straight forward. I don’t write reviews often but felt compelled to do so after conversing with Angela. There’s been a surprising situation that’s come up with a family member that we/​I needed guidance on. As one who has no experience in this area, I was confused on the process and what the next step was.
I called the office, they transferred me to Angela who proceeded to calm me by providing guidance that made sense. I made an appointment. Called back a couple times with additional questions and was able to get Angela on the phone again. Was even given the option to hold to speak with her.
I don’t know about you folks out there but it’s not typical to have someone available to talk with you at your beckon call, especially if your not giving them money! I did not feel rushed, she was patience, informative and provided the immediate information I needed to feel at ease. I highly recommend this firm.

Mr. Albie Jachimowicz helped me with a case back in 1999, which resulted in a successful dismissal of charges. I thanked him and we parted ways. Fast forward to 2014, some 15 years later, I had to revisit the case because of some application question, I called the firm, left a message past 5 o’clock, and Mr. Jachimowics called me right back first thing in the morning! Not only was I delighted with the fast response time, Albie also helped me to review some documents/​application I had just sent him and we had a lengthy conversation on the phone to clear up some of my questions, AND he didn’t charge me for anything! So I just want to say thank you for the service and I’d recommend Albie and his firm.

I have had Albie as my family lawyer since 2005. He has always been very professional, reviewing documents, and advising us on a family lawsuit, that at times was very sensitive and stressful. My daughter recently had a car accident, and Josh Jachimowicz handled the settlement and get the best settlement. I especially like dealing with Angie as well, the secretary/​assistant. She always gets back to me, explains the documents, and always is polite, never puts me on hold! My second daughter recently had a situation with the law which required lots of details, filing, and court appearances. Josh handled it all, and it was a great relief to her, and us, and is well worth the investment to have a lawyer represent you in this convoluted system. I had a legal matter and did a search of lawyers in my area. I ended up on the inkle, Jachimowicz, Pointer & Emanuel website and sent them an email. It was friday night at around 9PM, and promptly about 30 min later I received a call from Albie. He gave me the information I needed to combat my legal issue, all without charging me a dime. Now, I know most lawyers have an hourly retainer fee, and/​or charge serious money to help an individual deal with something like this, so I was floored that I was able to get the help I needed without having to pay anything. I am deeply appreciate of Albie and what he was able to do for me and would not hesitate to call him if I have any future situations that require legal representation.

I have personally been a client of Joshua Jachimowicz for over a year.
When I first hired him, I had a very distressing legal matter, a civil case, to deal with.
I called a number of lawyers, interviewed the top 3 and picked this firm and Josh because the firm is very professional and clearly knew how to deal with the issues facing me. Josh also listened to me. He took an interest in me as a person and determined a strategy to handle this case that would be best for me.
As this legal matter dragged on, I had a great deal of interaction with other lawyers at the firm as well as the staff. Everyone at this firm was easy to work with and knowledgeable.
Misty answers the phone in a welcoming, friendly manner.
Josh has an outstanding paralegal named Truc Nguyen. Truc worked with me to stay on top of all the paperwork that needed to be done for the case and was happy to answer questions.
Josh did a very good job of returning calls and being available to update me about the case.
Josh was eventually able to settle this matter and I was very pleased with the results.
So pleased that I hired Josh for several other matters.
I would also like to mention that this firm has an excellent reputation in the legal community. This is because everyone at Hinkle, Jachimowicz, Pointer & Emanuel work very hard and the firm deservedly earned its stellar reputation.
The first case I hired Josh for entirely changed once he and his firm were representing me. The judge was familiar with the firm and the lawyers there. This in the end proved to be very important to getting the matter settled.
Josh has recently resolved another matter I hired him for and again, I am very pleased with the results.
I still have Josh working on legal matters for me and have recommended him to others.

It actually too much courtesy to even give Hinkle Law Firm One Star… I hired Albie for a criminal case and paid him 4k for something very simple. The first time I visited him was a month before the pretrial conference and have provided him 5 pieces of evidence that any attorney or judge/​district attorney would with reason accept. I also was never successful at arranging an appointment with him to discuss my options and possible need for more evidence even though I had called several serval times. After the pre trial conference I never heard back from Albie I had to call relentlessly all day and then finally at 5:48 he picks up the phone with an arrogant and cooky tone of voice saying «Hi Andrew how can I help you»…are you serious?
I paid him 4k for a simple midemenour case that he did not help me one single bit and when I bring another witness in to demand answers as to why her statement was not received by the court all that he does is look at her beasts and says «Those are nice» then starts making other sexual comments on her attire. He spent more time in effort trying to flirt with one of the witnesses than to help her and provide us good legal advice and service.
Albie is the head of the firm filling in for his older sibling and it is evident that this firm is sleezy, unprofessional, and has no value over relationships or service but rather taking money from hard working honest people.
Albie even said it himself… 90% of the people he represents are guilty… how would you like to know that a dishonest, disloyal, fast talking car salesmen that defend crooks and is proud of it is a representative of the law and to upload the law in the eyes of God and Righteousness.
Never go here… they are crooks

I have not had great experiences with attorneys in the past, until finding Albie Jachimowicz. He and his colleague Josh Jachimowicz have been extremely helpful. I came to them with a legal issue, and they had a court date set within 48 hours, and the issue was able to be resolved the same day. Their calm and professional demeanor made an otherwise potentially nerve-​wracking situation stress free. I would highly recommend them.

I was faced with a legal issue that was reasonably simple, but which I recognized as possibly becoming far worse if it wasn’t taken care of. In the past when I’ve had issues like this I’ve found it very difficult to find a lawyer who would focus on getting what I needed done without creating unnecessary complications and expense.
Braid Pezzaglia very quickly assessed the situation and acted correctly, honestly and diligently to help me with the issue. He definitely went the extra mile for me, but he didn’t drag me into a lot of unnecessary churn. The people I was dealing with were a difficult lot and his efforts were the deciding factor in a satisfactory outcome.
Not only would I recommend this firm in the future, but I will use them for any other legal matters I need addressed in future without hesitation. Even if Braid is an exceptional example of the people who work there (and it wouldn’t surprise me if that were the case) he sets a standard of above average service that reflects well on the firm as a whole.

I’ve been working with Albie Jachiowicz and paralegal Andrea McLean for the past year and a half after being in a bad car accident in December of 2008.
Though Kaiser’s billing company has held up the process for quite a few months, Andrea continued to be responsive to my monthly emails asking what was happening so far (she probably got annoyed after the 5th or 6th one haha). But she was always friendly and very candid with me, which I appreciated (probably because I’m younger).
Anyway, they both have been very good at explaining the process to me and keeping me updated when progress is made.
