Josephine’s Daycare

I heard about Josephine’s Daycare through my sister. Her daughter was going there and was telling me how my niece was learning so much from Josephine. Although I am lucky enough to have my parents to watch my kids and didn’t need daycare, i still wanted to prepare my son for kindergarten. When I first met Josephine, she told us to bring my son so he can meet the other kids and get familiar with the environment. He adjusted fast! Josephine and her assistants are sooooo nice and friendly :)

Eleven years ago, I was on the search for a daycare for my two-​year old daughter. I heard about Josephine’s daycare through another parent that worked at my company. I received a lengthy email telling me how much she loved and trusted Josephine. My daughter was cared for by her grandparents the first couple of years. As any new mom, I was extremely nervous to leave my daughter with anyone. When I brought my daughter to meet Josephine for the first time, she looked at ease in her surroundings and so did I. Josephine is very attentive, patient, structured, loving and caring. You immediately feel like you’ve known her for a long time and you can tell she loves her kids. Before finding Josephine, I checked out other daycare’s but I never came across one that I immediately felt comfortable in, nor did my daughter as she usually clung to my leg when we went to check out the schools. It was refreshing to see my daughter interact with Josephine; she reminds me of family. My daughter remained at Josephine’s daycare until it was time to start kindergarten. When my daughter started kinder, the teachers were impressed and felt she was very advanced for her age. Josephine teaches the kids phonics daily, she teaches up to first grade material. My daughter is 13 now and till this day, she still asks to visit Josephine.
My son started at Josephine’s daycare at the age of 1, he is 2.5 years old now. My son is very active. Josephine isn’t afraid to discipline the kids and explain to them why they’re in timeout or why their «being talked to.» I love that about her. She is very sweet and gentle with the kids but she is also the disciplinarian. She encourages the kids to be kids, however she asks that the kids not not be disrespectful. My youngest is 3.5 months old. He will also attend Josephine’s daycare once he is ready to attend.
I can’t say enough nice things about Josephine. I trust her with everything, especially my 3 kids. She is an amazing person inside and out.

Josephine’s Daycare is the best! My eldest daughter, now almost 12 years and entering 7^th grade, started there when she was 3 years old. Nine years ago! How time flies. She attended for 2 years as she graduated onto kindergarten. We tried getting her into Josephine’s Daycare when she was 18 months, but there was a wait list. My eldest daughter thrived under Josephine’s care. The previous daycare that my daughter was attending was poorly managed and my daughter didn’t like going there. We were so happy when our eldest got into Josephine’s. Fast forward to the near present. When my second daughter was born and old enough, I contacted Josephine again and enrolled my 2^nd daughter into the daycare program. My 2^nd child started going there when was 2 years old and will graduate next year. She is also thriving under Josephine’s care. There is a proper daily routine everyday. Besides learning, there daily exercise where the kids walk to the park and play there in the morning. Josephine ensures healthy meals and snacks. In fact, I keep asking what and how she made some of things so I can make it at home for the kids. My 2^nd child is a picky eater, but she eats better at Josephine’s than at home. Josephine, Vanessa, Heather, and Susan really work hard and make sure the kids are behaving and getting along. They correct the behavior in a firm way without hurting the child’s feelings or putting the child down. They are consistent with the kids. Josephine also provides a lot of emotional support to each child. My daughters loved going to Josephine’s house everyday. They felt safe and we parents also had a peace of mind knowing that the kids were safe and well provided.

Josephine was referred to me by my parents. How did they know her? My parents do not speak any English, but they saw Josephine brings her students to the local park everyday. They highly value how much she cares for kids and think she will be good for my twins. I wanted to send my twins when they were 20 months old but so sad she did not have spots for them back then. I then came back to her when my kids are ready for preschool 4 months ago when they were 3 years old. Things just turned out great. Josephine and her staffs are great with kids. Especially Josephine, she cares very much with my kids just like I do. She has so much experience and great patience with kids. What I also like is the curriculum, healthy foods and routine outdoor activities which my kids love a lot. I highly recommend Josephines’ Daycare/​Preschool.

Being a 1^st time mom I was very hesitate to leave my child anywhere. I had known about Josephine’s Preschool & Daycare through a family friend who’s child was flourishing in her toddler years from attending her school. I also had my nieces attending this school and knew that they were comfortable and were so nurtured daily while attending. I tried to transition my daughter into her Preschool/​daycare when my daughter was around 13 months old. (She was solely cared for with a relative on a 1 on 1 basis) so it was a huge transition for her. After being there about 3 weeks, Josephine kindly met with my husband and I and thought it would be better if we waited a couple more month to let my daughter get a little more independent and try bringing her back in a couple more months. Josephine was so patient with my daughter and I can’t thank her enough for giving us this suggestion. About 3 months later (my daughter was now 16 months) we tired taking her back and sure enough my daughter was a little more independent and was taking the transition much better. Josephine is one of the most kind, patient, well trained Preschool Providers I know. Even though there are a handful of kids that attend the school the way she treats my daughter you would think she is the only child there. Josephine works well with each child and make sure they are all at the pace they need to be. My daughter has been there for about 2 years and loves Josephine and her helpers (Vanessa & Heather). She comes home singing songs & practicing her phonics. Josephine’s Daycare & Preschool also does performances (Christmas performances — The kids go up in front of all the parents and sing (Babies to toddlers), Graduation for the children that are transitioning into Kindergarten, & other great Holiday events). Josephine’s Daycare provides well balanced food choices for the kids. I can’t express enough how grateful I am to have found such an amazing place that my daughter loves going to everyday. The friends she has made and the guidance that Josephine gives her is so amazing. As a mom I always feel safe leaving her in her care and know its private and safe environment. I highly recommend her & her facility.

The daycare is great for preschoolers. There is a regular routine for the children which covers academics that is appropriate for each childs age, play time, outdoor activities, and nutritious foods. Josephine and her staff are excellent with the kids. As a parent that works, I’ve always felt comfortable leaving my kids there without worries. I was referred to Josephine by a friend who had her child there for years and I knew when I had my kids I wanted them to go there. This is a home licensed daycare that offers it’s own private facility for the children. My older daughter was very prepared for kinder by the time she left the daycare and my other daughter who will be going to kinder Sept 2013 is more than prepared. I would recommend this daycare to anyone with a child aged 1 to pre-​kinder.

I have known Josephine for the past 12 years. Both of my kids attended her preschool/​daycare until they were 5 years old. Josephine’s daycare was an extremely caring and loving place for my kids. They loved spending their time there with other kids and the most friendly staff. The preschool curriculum was very comprehensive and my kids were well prepared for starting kindergarten in their public schools. They also had opportunity to participate in different programs like during Christmas and graduation. We feel lucky to have our kids attend such a nurturing daycare and preschool.
