I got to meet Julian last week at a fashion show. Honestly I didn’t know what to expect about his photography skill, or how fast he can turn these images to the designers. First, as a model, I’d prefer to have my images up ASAP, so I can see how well at the show and what I need to improve.
Secondly, I’d like to see how lighting, technique, skills of the photographers as well. It’s critical, how the pictures will turnout. It can be too much flash, too much lights, too low lights, or bad timing, since the runway was short & the models had to walk faster this time with the music. I was skeptical with all the photographers, since I haven’t worked with any of them before.
As usual, there was lots of media and about 10 photographers were there for a half an hours show. The show was on Friday, literally, the designer emailed us on SAT early AM with the link of some of the photos we can use for our portfolios & etc.
Finally, I click on the link to Julian website of JSL Studio, I was amazed how well his lighting & technique. I got more poses & pictures than most girls, well there was only 3 professional models there, and all their pictures turn out nice & well captured. I’m grateful for any photographer can be this lightning fast for this high quality of images. Hopefully we got to work any in the near future.
