We were so pleased with our bathroom remodel a couple of years ago that we hired Joe and his crew to remodel our kitchen recently. They did an amazing job professionally painting the cabinets white (which look like new — taking 45 doors and drawer fronts off site where there was more room to do the job properly), demo-​ing the old tile counters, modifying some cabinets, creating a breakfast bar which Jose and I designed together, installing Carrera Quartz counters, installing subway tile backsplash, painting, installing new pendant lighting and under counter lights, new hardware, electrical outlets, and new appliances. Even before we ordered the appliances, Joe came out again to checks the specs and make sure everything would fit since the oven is in a brick wall which had to be modified. Juan, (project manager) and Joaquin are perfectionists even to the smallest details and the team finished within 3 weeks. We are thrilled with the result and it really updates our house. Thank you to Joe and his great team.

Joe is nice knowledgable guy, gives honest opinion but is out of my budget, if I ever hit lotto I ll hire him in a heartbeat.

We recently finished our kitchen and family room renovation with JTK. The entire project took about 4 months. This is the first time that we have ever experienced a home renovation and we are extremely glad that we hired JTK.
Throughout the process, Joe worked with us from concept to selecting the smallest detail to our kitchen. He treated our project as if it is his own home. Since this was our first home project, Joe helped us identify areas that may need improvement which we didn’t think about (such as recess lighting in our family room, what a great decision to have those installed!). Joe also made sure that our design selections will last for the years to come (Joe recommended classic designs so our kitchen will not be outdated quickly from the short lived fads).
We are enjoying our kitchen and family room every day. As anyone knows, these are the two most important rooms in a home. Having Joe help us build a functional and beautiful kitchen and family room allows us to enjoy our home for many many years to come.

We had 3 ½ bathrooms remodeled and were very happy with the final results. Joe was very helpful in choosing tile, granite, paint colors, etc. He gave us recommendations for designing the tile layout including the mosaici tile. He did an excellent job designing our bathrooms which meant we didn’t need an interior designer.
Joe is very easy to work with and is totally trustworthy. These days it’s hard to find a good contractor you can trust. He doesn’t knickel and dime you, in fact he does a lot of extra things without charging. Joe is always easily accessible. Every time I call him, he responds in a timely manner. If I ever need any more work done on the house, I will definitely use him again.

Joe at JTK was great to work with. We wanted to take down walls and insert a 30ft beam to create an open layout look. He did it w just 4 guys. and all in only 1 week just as promised. Joe is Super friendly and helpful. Next phase of my reno will be with him for sure.

Very happy with the end result. Joe and his team were excellent to say the least. We practically did a tear down and rebuilt the house from the ground up. We remodeled the whole house and added a 2^nd story. It only took 7 months total which was a blessing because we were pregnant with our 2^nd child.
Joe and his team did an incredible job throughout the entire process. He helped us plan, pick up out tile, carpet, crown molding, bathroom parts, paint color… everything! In JTK, you get a designer, contractor, and advisor all in one. It’s like getting 3 roles for the price of 1. JTK’s biggest assets are honesty (very hard to come by these days), hard work, and quality work. In fact we’ll bring JTK back to do more work on the backyard when the time comes. I think that’s the biggest complement.
I highly recommend JTK. I don’t hand out 5 stars too often but this is well deserved.

Joe and his team were a blessing. We found Joe at a time when another contractor messed up big time. JTK took over completely. JTK handled all the inspections with absolutely no involvement from us. We could trust Joe and his team with everything. Being new to the remodeling process there were a lot of unknowns for us. Joe took the time to explain the nuances and helped us understand the requirement. He thought many steps ahead which aided in the planning process. If it was not for Joe we would have not been able to complete our project in a timely fashion. After hearing (and experiencing) nightmare stories about contractors we were thrilled working with Joe

If we could give Joe and his team 6 stars we would. We discovered JTK Builders by accident when we visitied a neighbors home and saw their newly renovated bathroom. It was nothing short of amazing /​beautiful. I undertook a kitchen renovation myself but failed the electrical inspection. I reached out to 3 different electrical companies on a Saturday night and Joe was nice enough to stop by and check out our kitchen and spent over an hour talking to us. He gave me a quote the next day that was very competitive and I asked him to do the work. He brought in his crew the following day — even arriving early — and re-​wired my entire kitchen in under 6 hours. He suggested that I should run additional circuits which would be a good idea even if the inspector did not demand them — and he ended up doing them for free since he already was puling fresh wire for the other circuits. What was even nicer was that his team was super friendly, very professional, and they took great care to clean up as they went along. Super guys and highly recommended.

We purchased a very old house (built in 1952) in Willow Glen in 2012. We decided to torn it down and have a custom build house.
We were so worry about finding a good contractor (as we heard so many nightmare stories about contractors). After many interviews with many different builders, we settled with Joe.
With a remodel permit, Joe and his team very much built everything from ground level (the only thing left from the old house is its partial foundation). The job was so big, our anxiety was so big. Each and every day after the construction started, our anxiety subsided. Joe guided us along the way, patiently helped us to select the right material, right color (at the lowest cost). It felt like he built the house for his family, as he really put «his heart» into the job (or at least that’s how we felt).
Joe and his team worked on weekend to meet deadlines, he willingly met us at late hours (after work) for discussion. He kept us up to date of what’s going on, status, issues. Joe was so meticulous (it suppose to be us, but he’s much more details than us), talented, reliable, generous in his time. He went beyond his duty, he didn’t care for nickle and dime, and really wanted to get everything «right».
The house was done after 8 months of construction. Everyone said that was impressive, as this house is very much a 3000 sf band new build type (5 bed, 3 bath on a 9000 sf lot). Moving into this new house, we slowly absorb the joy. We take time to look around. At each corner, we see his hard work, and still haven’t see any flaw, I am talking about tiny stuffs. Everyone said the house is stunning.
I’m so glad we chose him. I wouldn’t know what it will be like if we chose others. But I know if we ever do it again, we would still pick Joe and his team. Now even after the house is done, he still contacts us to see if we have any issues, or need any help while using any house’s features that he put in.

I am a research nut. Especially when it comes to big purchases, I want to know all the ins and out of everything before I make a decision. When it came to doing a huge remodel on my home, finding the right contractor was no different. I talked to several different companies, saw a ton of homes, and interviewed a bunch of previous customers. At the end of all my research, I went with JTK — and that decision was worth all the effort I put into it.
Personally, I hold a couple of characteristics key to being someone I want to work with. Honesty, pride & excellence in work, and creativity. With a combination of these three traits — what you have is someone you can trust to do an amazing job, provide you with an honest assessment of pros and cons, and give you options that you may not have known were possible. What I found in Joe was a perfect blend of these three traits. His work speaks for itself and if that isn’t loud enough, he has several clients that will speak for him (like me). His creativity shines through when it comes down to the 100^th decision and your vision is beginning to fade. With his years of experience, he can warn you about a problem with a design and give you options that not only achieve what you wanted, but give other added benefits. At the end of the day, if you aren’t happy with something, he stands by his work and will replace or fix things that didn’t go as planned — even if you were insistent that you wanted it when he warned against it.
A year after the remodel, I can honestly say that I am still extremely pleased with the work that was done. I would hire him for any job and give him my strongest recommendation.

I did extensive research prior to selecting JTK Builders and I was amazed at what I found. Not only did I learn that many of the remodeling contractors listed had no kind of worker’s compensation insurance, but many of those listed on Angie’s List were not even licensed contractors! We were so glad that we found Joe Nguyen and JTK Builders through one of the kitchen cabinet vendors we interviewed. My wife and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the work that Joe did in our kitchen remodel. Joe Nguyen has had a lot of valuable experience doing a variety of remodels which proved to be extremely helpful. Prior to our selecting Joe, I interviewed his references and they just could not stop saying amazing things about Joe’s work ethic, his fairness and his great feel for design. What’s more, all the guys that work for Joe are just terrific people and we really enjoyed having them around. The friends to whom I have referred Joe have also been so pleased. On time. On Budget. A pleasure to work with — such rare qualities in today’s remodeling contractor marketplace. You just can’t go wrong working with JTK Builders!
