I came in to order some food for my wife (just did C Section in the O’Connor). The girl the the front desk took my order (i ask her please try to get it asap). At first, she told me that it my took 10 mins. But if you in rush. I will do in 5 mins (i just laugh, but be honestly i didnt believe it). But she was right, my order came out after 5 mins.
+ 5 stars for friendly staff
+ 5 stars for supper fast service
+ 5 stars for food quality (i dont know how can they make order really quick but taste really really good)

I work in Santana Row just across the street from Khans, I frequently place a large order for my staff and I. The service is ALWAYS friendly and FAST. By the time the food arrives to us its hot and smells great, they always provide a bunch of condiments and garnishments.
Definitely give them a try, our favorites are definitely the Veggie Phở & BBQ Pork rice plate

Stopped by this spot before we got our pampering on at Burke Williams…
This place obviously has been here before Santana Row was built because there is no way it could sustain the high rent/​real estate.
So the inside of the place looks like a diner… the music played in the background reminds you of a fine dining restaurant… and the food resembles what you would expect from a Vietnamese restaurant. Service was kind of weird… the waiter was mean.
I think the fresh summer rolls are good… they don’t have the crunch that they have in Vietnamese restaurants in LA (those are good. and rare)… peanut sauce is good.
We got the specialty pot which was just chicken soup with a variety of things in it. Small for two people.
Oh and I got a glass of wine… It’s J. Lohr. don’t get too excited.
Was going to go to Vespa but unfortunately was too far from Santana Row.

I’ve been eating here over fifteen years. The owners and staff are great. Just about everthing on the menu is wonderful but my favorites are as follows:
BBQ pork over vermicelli
Fried rolls
Fresh rolls
Shaking beef
BBQ shrimp wrapped on sugarcane
They also have some of the best iced coffee in San Jose.

Bad bad bad. Went here over the holiday break. There are waaaay better choices on santana row than this run down crabby place where service seems to be a foreign concept. Poll can go. Very full of herself and no business being the face of this place.

UGH! Came here yesterday and ordered a wonton soup which they were out of =(so ordered the small chicken phở, tasted like water and salt UGH and they didnt even give any fixings most phở places give to add in! Ordered spring rolls those were good, got the bbq chicken noodle salad horrible, barely any veggies or lettuce! We also got chow mein and it was gross and smelt discussing! Never again!

Khanh’s restaurant is a very good example of what a successful family business looks like. The restaurant started out as just a 24-​seater in 1981, and is now a 250-​seat restaurant. Just shows that the restaurant is an ever growing project, and that the family cares about growing their business.
My girlfriend and I came at around 6 pm, and business seemed slow. They were understaffed, so it took a minute or two for us to get seated.
We ordered a specialty dish, one where you get a huge platter of ingredients to CREATE your own Vietnamese «rice paper roll»… and who doesn’t like a hands-​on eating experience?! These are essentially mini burrito-​esque rolls where you wrap meat, shrimp, rice-​based noodles, veggies, and all sorts of condiments in this rice paper roll. Traditionally, these little rolls come pre-​wrapped for you, but this is a fun activity that can bring you and your friends a new experience. I recommend it a lot! Everything was cooked perfectly, although the BBQ pork slices could’ve been cooked a little longer for that crisp, charred edge for added texture. You can find this on the menu under SPECIALTIES as «Rice Vermicelli». I’ve never experienced anything like it before.

I love Khanh’s Restaurant! It’s a small mom and pop owned restaurant that my family and I have been going to, for forever, since they were located in Town & Country.
Khanh’s is somewhere in between the divey Vietnamese restaurant and the high-​end ones. It strives for cleanliness, good service, and traditional home cooked dishes. I am also always amazed by the number of dishes they’ll bring out to you… one for sauce, one for another sauce, one for bones, one for rolling things, etc. :)
Every dish here is amazing. I love their new offering of banh mi, mi viet tiem, anything BBQ’d, and the weekend specials. I have tried many things but the staff can predict my order based on what day I visit. It’s a great feeling.

Went there with my friend for lunch today. Got there at 11am and waited outside for 5 to 10 minutes. Had to call the restaurant to tell them open the door.
Saw all the awards posted on the walls by the entrance and was stoked to have some good food.
I ordered the lunch special with combination soup. The broth was very bland and had no flavor. Definitely the worst phở I ever had. I was expecting the combination noodle soup to come with steak, brisket, tendon, trips and etc… but it came with shrimp, ground pork, and slices of pork.
My friend ordered the Chicken Noodle Soup. Same thing, broth was very bland and had no flavor. He also said the same thing and said he came make it 100 times better at home.
I will never go back to this place for noodle soup again. Extremely disappointed.

I think for the location, it’s great! I don’t live very far from Little Saigon in Westminster though. If I were to compare it to a place in Little Saigon, it would get a 3 star rating.
Food we got:
–Goi Ga (chicken salad app): the large is big enough for the 5 of us to have two servings each. The ingredients were fresh.
–Bo Luc Lac (Shaken beef): the beef they used was super tender. I think the dish needed to come to room temperature more before cooking though, the flavorings didn’t shine as much. Plus they did not provide lime, salt, and pepper dip.
–Bo Hanh (Thin beef rolled with onion): my fav dish, well seasoned and tender.
–Shrimp and mushroom hot pot: really tasty and plenty of mushrooms and shrimp. Good bang for the buck. They do make it a bit on the spicy side, so watch out if you’re not great at handling spicy.

I love eating at this restaurant! If you are a regular here, you know that the owners (husband & wife) will walk you to your seat, and they will even take your order. Now that is called rolling up your sleeves right?! More importantly, I’ve always received excellent service.
Now let me go ahead and qualify the 5 star rating here. I’ve tried about 6 or 7 entrees thus far, but for the sake of this review, I will comment on the BBQ Beef Rolls, Beef Macaroni, and the Spring Rolls. If you take a super quick glance at the beef rolls, they kind of resemble little miniature turds right? I know that doesn’t help your visual here, but take a look at the pic I uploaded. A buddy of mine actually referred to this dish as «those little turds stuffed with onions». All joking aside, this is probably my favorite item on the menu. The beef is always perfectly cooked, and it tastes just as good when you nuke it the next day. You get 8 rolls for $ 10.50, so it’s a bargain.
Beef Macaroni: Sounds a little weird to have at a Vietnamese restaurant, but don’t be afraid to try it. My kids love it! They barely make a dent in a large order, but we get it anyways so that they can pack it for their lunches the next day.
Spring Rolls: In your head you are probably thinking, «A spring roll is a spring roll!» right? WRONG! I’d say these are arguably the best spring rolls in San Jose. I’d say the entire Bay, but I haven’t tried enough places to make that claim. Once I do, I will post!
Side note:
If you order their Fresh OJ ($ 4), they typically bring it to you with a glass filled with ice. If you request NO ice (hoping you get more OJ), they will bring you a glass of OJ that is only 75% full. Do not blow a gasket! That is the exact amount they give you, with or without ice. Trust me, it pisses me off when I see a glass not filled to the rim, but that’s a single serving for them.
Conclusion:
You have no reason not to try this place! GO TURDS!

Their service is great for a Vietnamese restaurant. Probably the best in the San Jose area.
The food was good and fresh.
The bathroom was the cleanest I’ve seen in an authentic Asian restaurant.
The dinning room is large and clean. A good place to try Vietnamese food for the rockies.

Since there aren’t many Vietnamese restaurants near Santana Row, we decided to try out this fusion place. We ordered the combo specials for 2 $ 28.95/person which includes 8 half sizes spring rolls (or egg rolls), seafood hotpot, shaken beef, fried prawns with caramel sauce and a Vietnamese rice. Now the rice is a clay pot cooked rice with sweet sausages, bbq chicken and mushrooms. Overall the food was very good and the service was attentive. Our waitress was very friendly we noticed she recognizes and memorizes all of her regulars and their orders.
For someone who is Vietnamese, I walked in little expectation and walked out completely satisfied!

I came here with my BF for a light lunch on a weekend. There were plenty of tables when we arrived at noonish, but the dining room quickly filled up shortly there after. The establishment is spacious and bright, unlike other mom-​and-​pop Vietnamese restaurants in town. We were greeted by very friendly host and waitresses. The menu is diverse, but we opted to share something simple and light; we elected to try their fresh shrimp rolls and pork chop rice plate. The portions of both dishes were perfect for us and satisfying. I would return in the near future to sample their Phở.
Pros: Service, menu choices, quantity & quality, cleanliness, pleasant staff
Cons: None noted

Feeling hungover I was in the mood for phở. Ordered the beef phở with tendon and brisket and fried egg rolls.
Egg rolls were lacking depth of flavor and taste
d like they were rolled and frozen for a long time. Came with fish sauce that was very bland tasting.
Phở was below average. Broth was murky and had no amazing been stewing for hours flavor. Tendon was hard & chewy and the noodles were yucky. Still I finished it because I was hungry by I had to use a lot of Sriracha and Hoison to season it up.
The customer service was great though. It was quiet while I dined and they re filed my water all the time. Usually at asian restaurants they are mean and rush you but I didn’t feel that here. I got smiles, nods, and eye contact.
The rest of the menu was pretty extensive so I might come back to try other things like the rice dishes.

The best Phở I’ve tried since San Diego.
The staff is friendly and their recommendations always hit the spot. You can’t take two sips of water before someone refills your glass.
The restaurant is perfectly clean, from the tables to the clean cut uniforms of the staff.
This is easily my new favorite restaurant.

When I entered Khanh’s it was very clean and nice looking, not your typical local Vietnamese restaurant.
Ordered caramelized fish in a clay pot, I’m guessing it’s similar to ca kho to? It was a more basic version of co kho to. It wasn’t too bad, the sauce that was with it was flavorful.
The service was incredible. You would never have to worry about your water cup being empty.
I would definitely come back and try other things on the menu because it was my fault I came 13 minutes before closing time so some of the things on the menu were not available due to kitchen closing. (Forgot most Asian restaurant has a two hour gap between 2pm-​5pm)

I’m not disappointed after craving for a Vietnamese Place to eat. It’s been years since I’ve had a good Vietnamese food.

Banh xeo not very authentic. Too many bean sprouts and not enough egg. Make-​your-​own rice paper wrap way overpriced, and the lettuce was wilted even! Crunchy spring rolls never disappoint though.
This restaurant has been around for many many years, so I hope it survives, but it’s not really the go-​to place that it used to be. From now on, I would probably come only here if I were by the cinema and craving Vietnamese.

This Vietnamese restaurant is located across from Santana Row — a pretty primo location. They’ve been around for a long time (since before Santana Row was developed) and inside it sort of looks like they took over like an American breakfast restaurant and kept all the furniture and walls and carpets the same. The first time I came here was years and years ago and I remember the food being good — we had a rice noodle bowl (bun) and the shaking beef rice plate.
On my most recent visit, we came in to get phở, because we were too lazy to drive all the way to east san jose, or to an actual phở restaurant. They had a beef phở and a chicken phở (no veggie phở which I would’ve liked). I ordered the chicken phở (because I don’t eat beef phở) and it was fine. It comes with white meat (and I am a fan of dark meat), so it was I guess healthier. The server brought out the sprouts and the mint and the jalapeño peppers slices, and then brought out our phở. I wish the phở came with more noodles though. I love eating noodles and not so much broth or the meats.
The service was quick — we were seated right away and brought menus. A few minutes later the server came to take our order and brought us our waters. Then a few minutes later our noodle soups came. The server came by while we were eating to refill our waters which was great. Then he came by one more time to give us our check (less than $ 20 for two bowls of phở) and started clearing our table when we finished. He told us to pay at the front, where the cashier was. The service was great, the location is pretty great too — close to Valley Fair and Santana Row, and they have their own private parking lot. The food is just okay — not super amazing. But there are always people eating here (including Vietnamese people) and they’ve been around for so long, they must be doing something right.
