Milton is a great guy and is very knowledgeable in every area. He was referred by a friend and we used his services for a variety of different jobs we had during our remodel. He is reliable, honest, ethical, and his work is excellent. He goes above and beyond and I would highly recommend him to anyone. His pricing is very competitive and his work speaks for itself.

We were looking into options to fix our AC problem in our house and I had contacted 3 different (and highly rated) companies for options/​solutions and pricing. The first two (unamed) HVAC companies gave me inefficient and HIGH priced options. Milton came within a day of a phone call and we immediately liked him! He’s a fantastic guy and gave us a great solution for our A/​C that saved us thousands compared to the competitors! And we still got to have the highest quality (Mitsubishi) product installed in our home.
When it came to installation him and his guys worked tirelessly to get the job done in time! They were all very respectful and hard workers! Milton even drove to Bakersfield to pick up the right unit when the manufacture sent him the wrong one. Talk about amazing customer service! We would recommend him and his services a thousand times over! Thank you guys for doing a great job!

Gotta give big ups to Milton. We got home from a week’s vacation to find our heater had gone out … this in late November. I dialed a bunch of HVAC shops that had gotten good reviews on Unilocal,and Milton was the only one I found who was willing to come out on a Saturday afternoon and check things out. He charged $ 125 for a two-​hour visit and diagnosis session, and said he’d apply that toward whatever labor would be needed for the repair.
Milton very quickly diagnosed that the problem wasn’t the igniter, as my architecht brother had suggested, but the induction motor. Since the mfr wasn’t open until Monday, we had a chilly couple of days, but as soon as the part arrived Milton came to our house in the evening and had nice, warm air blowing in no time. We didn’t owe another dime for his labor to install the new part. More importantly, he was prompt, pleasant, kept me fully informed about what was going on, showed me what was wrong with the faulty part and was extremely patient when my 6-​year-​old son insisted on watching the whole operation and asking a million questions.
I would call Milton again in a second if I had any problems with HVAC or plumbing. He’s a second-​generation craftsman and clearly loves what he does.

We just bought a house recently and NEEDED an AC Unit since the house was like an oven when we first opened the door. We called a bunch of places to get quotes on phone and everyone was giving us a high quote until we contacted Milton. He was able to come check out the house that same day and gave us a reasonable quote. He also mentioned that the furnace needed to be replaced soon and that he will replace it without charging extra for labor since they were doing the AC unit, which is great since we were already thinking about replacing it. He also replaced our old thermostat with the newest Honeywell thermostat. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing heating, cooling or HVAC for their house!!! He’s been wonderful to work with and would definitely call him again!

Wouldn’t you know on one of the hottest days of the year, the motor on our AC Unit gave out! Of course it was the weekend so I called several HVAC Service Companies (all 5star Unilocal recommended) and Milton from Lacayo was the first one to answer in person. He responded Saturday morning, promptly and professionally, diagnosed the problem and gave me an estimate which seemed reasonable. We scheduled a return visit for the next morning (Sunday) and within an hour our AC was running again. As I write this recommendation in the cool comfort of my home, I would highly recommend Lacayo Mechanical.

Given a backround in residential Real Estate and residential construction, I have worked with numerous HVAC companies (even the big named ones). Lacayo Mechcanical is hands down the best I have seen. I also called them for my own personal residence when my A/​C blew during those hot 90 plus degree weather days. They offered to come out that same day to get it fixed. We eventually set a time to meet & when they arrived, I was not only impressed with the service but completely satisfied. They went above and beyond any HVAC company would go. I threw away all my other HVAC contacts and only keep Lacayo Mechanical as they are what I consider the best in the business. They truly care about customer satisfaction and their work says it all. I recommend Lacayo Mechanical to anyone who needs A/​C, Heating, ventilation, repairs, installation, or service.

I recommend Lacayo Mechanical without any hesitation! I received a quote from another nearby HVAC group and, although the other company seemed professional and capable, I thought I should get another quote. I was lucky enough to set up a same day appointment with Milton over the weekend to get a second quote. He was completely professional, friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful even though he knew I was potentially going to go with the company who provided the first quote. He presented a quote that was significantly less expensive than the other company (30% less) which fit within my stated budget constraints. Besides the reasonable price, he was responsive to text messages, timely, neat with his work leaving my office clean, and willing to educate me about the various HVAC options. And, most importantly, the A/​C I asked for is working well and looks good too!

Milton is the man. It as extremely hot outside. Our central AC wasn’t working (blowing out only warm air). He came by and within 10 minutes diagnosed the issue and had the part we needed to fix it. He also helped us fix our dimmable lights (they were flickering all the time, and he helped us fix that issue). Will definitely use again

Awesome service! Fast and efficient work, and a nice guy to boot! Had a problem with my Air conditioner, was seen within an hour of calling to set up an appointment. He examined all possible problems and fixed the condenser insanely fast. Unbeatable prices, full recommendation if you need any HVAC work done.

We just moved into our house and oddly enough experienced a cold day after a heatwave. We had a home inspection and remembered that a duct wasn’t connected so we asked Milton to come out to help us connect the duct. He was hoping to simply connect the duct but noticed that the heater was shutting off on its own. He did some further investigation and noticed that the coils had over heated and the heater was blowing carbon monoxide into our house!
We wanted to replace the heater and Milton offered several options. We decided to find the most energy efficient system. While he was at it he checked out the A/​C and that wasn’t working as well. He suggested ways that we could save or hold off on doing A/​C work but we wanted to just get it all done.
Milton was so nice and just a professional. Unfortunately he ran into some issues. Our heater was delivered to San Leandro instead of San Jose so he drove out to San Leandro to pick it up since it was a Friday and he wanted to install our new heater right away. He would keep in touch with me via text so that was real helpful. He made sure to go over how to use the system and helped us install our Nest. Very happy with his work and will definitely call him the next time we have an HVAC issue!

I left a voicemail at Lacayo when I saw that our heater pump wasn’t functioning properly. Milton returned my call a few minutes later and offered to come by that same evening, after his other, scheduled jobs were completed. He arrived about 30 minutes early and called first to make sure that it was okay if he came by sooner than he was scheduled to. He checked the pump to see if it was repairable versus replacing it with a new one. Unfortunately, a hose in the pump had broken and was not fixable. Milton had brought a replacement unit in case it was needed and had it installed quickly. After I paid him, he mentioned that the heater filter was not in the unit and, if I wanted, he could check the filter (s) that were in our home. He checked the two we have and both filters were clearly in need of replacement. He said that he didn’t have them with him but could drop off replacements at my house the next day (they can easily be installed by myself so there was no need to make an additional service appointment). I then asked how much additional money I owed him for the filters but he said they were gratis and just part of the service. The cost of the visit and the replacement unit were very reasonable. I am extremely pleased with the level of service we received and would happily recommend Lacayo to my friends and family.

I recently purchased a new home and the HVAC unit in it is 20+ years old. We wanted to get it serviced and make sure everything was OK with it and see if we could expect it to last another winter, etc.
I called Lacayo and got very prompt, good customer service. There were plenty of appointment times available over the next several days so it was easy to choose something that would fit my work schedule.
Joe was my service guy, and he arrived precisely on time, was very quick, friendly, and had a good sense of humor. He was also very respectful of my house and belongings, and didn’t use any course language as so many other contractors and repairmen are prone to do. As a bonus he also took a minute to teach me how to override the program on the thermostat so I could change the temperature without having to re-​program the day, like if I worked from home and therefore wanted the temperature higher.
All in all it was a great experience, and I will definitely be using Lacayo again in the future!

Our heater went out on the coldest day of the year– go figure. It was a Sunday and we had guests and I have 2 kids under the age of 4, so I needed heat. Immediately. I called 5 other companies, my landlord and PGE. Everyone gave me the run around or said they couldn’t come until later in the week. I called Lacayo, Milton answered at around noon and was at my house by 1pm. He temporarily fixed the heater and wouldn’t take any money because he told me we needed a new part and that he would find it and install it asap. Milton came back Tuesday morning with the new part and we are very happy with the service and our new heater! The best thing was that Milton kept in touch with me via text messages in between his first visit and his second. The price was very reasonable — especially for a Sunday visit.

My heater was out and I called last night he came over in a matter of hours I was so excited because other places I called wouldn’t come for a few days. I have kids & pets we were freezing. We were a very happy and thankful family. I highly recommend this company very reliable, great service, and plus you can’t beat their prices!!! Thank you so much Milton! :)

Absolutely amazing! My wife and I had no heat on thanksgiving weekend and I left a voicemail hoping to hear back. Milton came out on a Sunday morning! He was on time, professional, very personable and he explained what happened. We are so grateful to be warm again on the holiday weekend! The price was very reasonable! We highly recommend Milton!

Milton called soon after this review was posted and apologized for not calling back. He quickly came out within a few days and said he is training someone to help with the business scheduling so this situation doesn’t reoccur.
He fixed the leak, serviced the furnace for free, and just charged for the coolent. We are very pleased with the handling of this situation and resolution. Thank you for providing good customer service!
Update: Turned on the AC this spring 2014, and it is not working. $ 700 spent and no working AC. Don’t want to risk a 3^rd time.

Outstanding work. Highly recommend Milton. Fair pricing, excellent installation of 3ton AC unit, coils and electrical work. Cleaned up all his stuff and left the area cleaner than he found it. Nothing bad to say about this company at all. All Good!

As of June 28^th, there was a heatwave hitting the bay area. As we all love the heat, our AC motor went out. Oh no! I mean, it was blowing hot air! I called many different AC service companies and they were all booked up with two weeks lag time. Lacayo Mechanical was prompt and delivered. Milton showed up and assessed the problem immediately with his sophisticated equipment and ordered the motor immediately. His vendor had a 24 hour turnaround and Milton installed the new motor and we now have cool air blowing in our home. The unit is at least 20 plus years old and he made it last a bit longer. I highly recommend Milton!

Milton is the man when it comes to heating & AC! I sold a house and the furnace stopped working right after the sale closed. The new owner was very unhappy and I was worried that the whole deal was going to fall through if the issue was not resolved. I was referred to Milton by another contractor and he came in and did a phenomenal job. He put in a new unit at a fair price and helped me avoid any issues with the new homeowner.
Over a year later, my old realtor contacted me and said that the home owner was having issues with his new heater. I contacted Milton and he was still willing to check the issue. Apparently, the home owner made some repairs to his roof and improperly changed the heating vent in the roof, which caused the issue with his heater. Most contractors would probably wash their hands of the situation since the issue was due to their own negligence, but Milton showed supreme customer service and took care of the issue.
