MCC Computer

They repaired my cracked iPad 2 screen. Dropped it off Friday, not too long before closing. They told me it should be ready Saturday between 1 and 2, but to call ahead before coming down, just to be sure. It was ready as promised. So far so good.

This company ripped me off and lied about correcting a shipment mistake. I ordered two of the exact same product and they put one in the package. Only way to get a refund via Paypal was to «return» order (which was impossible since i didn’t get a complete order and would have to pay postage), thus I’m stuck paying double for the one item I got. On two occasions they stated they would ship the second item out, but didn’t. To cap it off the item also had a defect. These people invent positive reviews and exploit a loophole in paypal and ebay policies to avoid returns and refunds. Don’t trust them at all.

I would recommend not buying anything from this company. one star is too high.
My experience.
Bought a simple window mount for the iphone, shipped to NY for $ 10, no big deal. When it eventually arrived it was broken. (Now we all know what happens now. I spend $ 7 sending it back. Not today, I contact them and after a few exchanges they realize I not getting sucked into that one and request a label. They tell me they sent it on the 18^th Dec, Now the 12 days later and no label. Just outright sucky service. Go to ebay!
In the end I sent them this email…
«12 days ago you sent the label. Still waiting!
FYI — Just to let you know how bad your Customer Service is. I wanted 3 of these mounts. In the time your customer service has sent the label (but I have not received it) I have bought and received 2 other mounts. I should have checked you out on Unilocal 1^st. Don’t bother sending the label. I will fore go the hassle of the return or refund. You suck as an online company»

They fixed my ps3 HDMI port by desoldering and resolding a new port. It was simple and painless. My go back to reball my ps3 chip.

MCC Computer… smdh…I live nearby and have seen this place often. Needing a new power adapter I call MCC and get a sweet price quote for $ 30, upon second look I saw they had a Unilocal deal for $ 10 for $ 20. I get to the place and some lady was already screaming at the clerk «John» for some «whatever» reason obviously concerning her service (not a good look). At any rate, what appeared to be a pregnant woman then proceeded to ask me if she could help with my issue, unknowing that I had already called in advanced for the price quote I ask for the adapter. I pull out my voucher and she eyeballs it carefully, takes it to the back where some individual could probably give her a second opinion. She then come back to the front and confronts John about the voucher (mind you the lady who was screaming at John is still there), he then comes up to me (the screaming lady is super pissed now that John left her for me) and tells me that he cannot honor the voucher because its for repair services only… WTF…Baisically I walked out after that… mind you that the deal itself doesn’t specify weather or not the voucher can be used for services rendered or products they may sell. LET ME USE MY GODAMN VOUCHER!!! And what really pissed me off was on the bottom it clearly states to the business owner that: «Deal must be honored according to terms on voucher. NO ADDITIONAL RESTRICTIONS MAY BE ADDED AT TIME OF REDEMPTION.» This business is clearly in the wrong and is in breach of contract to Unilocal and ultimately Its potential customers… after this experience I probably wont go back to them EVER. I wear glasses so I hope this isn’t a discriminatory issue that i have yet to uncover JK*…but anyway DON’T GO TO THIS PLACE and DONT BUY THE VOUCHER!!! (Apparently its useless)…And for the record to make a pregnant woman work is simply SADISTIC, and MCC must really mean: «MORE. CUSTOMER. COMPLAINTS.» Because that’s where there headed If anyone goes there.

Do not go to this place!!! Very dishonest and bad service. It took them 2 months to fix my laptop but once they fixed it. It broke down again after 1 month and they want to charge me for fixing the same problem. They tell you that you’re getting new part but you’re actually getting used part from somebody else laptop/​computer.

This place is a nightmare… avoid at all costs! They have an «F» rating with the Better Business Bureau (look it up) and it’s easy to see why.
After speaking with them 3 times to ensure they would be able to repair my Macbook Pro, taking care to describe the exact problem and specific part and model number that needed to be replaced, I sent my computer off. Their website claims they will contact you when they receive it, then call you again within one day to tell you the repair cost and turnaround time.
3 days after they signing for the delivery I still hadn’t heard from them, so I called and John claimed they never received my computer, despite signing for it. After some scrambling, my laptop was finally located, still sitting in the unopened box. John promised they would look at it and call me the next day. Another 2 days with still no call. After a week of my calling them every day, John confirmed that the problem was exactly what I said it was in the first place, but said it would cost more to repair than the flat fee shown on their website and would have to get back to me with the price.
A week went by with no phone call or e-​mail response. Sensing a pattern? After 2 weeks, he tells me that he doesn’t have the part to fix it but would check with his vendor. Yet another several days with no calls or updates. Finally I called and asked for my computer to be returned. I expressed my disappointment over being told they could fix my computer, wasting 3 weeks of my time, and having to pay for shipping costs. I asked to speak to a manager to discuss return shipping, which I did not feel I should have to pay for given the circumstances. Despite repeated calls back, the «manager» was never available (probably because there isn’t one) and I was finally hung up on.
This company has no concept of customer service. Everything that was advertised on their website was false, and they never deliver communication as they promise. Honestly, I’m not a totally unreasonable person… if they had just said «I’m not sure if we can fix that but if you want to send it we’ll see what we can do» or «Hey, we’re a little backed up right now but we will get to it as soon as possible,» I would have been understanding, but it never happened. They just want your money and will lie to you to get you to send your computer in, then waste your time while it gathers dust in their shop for 3 weeks. Incredibly lame service, and a big waste of $ 50 in shipping costs.

I got the dreaded blue screen on my laptop, and I knew it was serious. I tried MCC for the first time because it was one block from work (and, of course, because I checked Unilocal!). I met John and got a sense right away that he was a trustworthy guy. Polite, direct eye contact. He tried to start up the computer, got the same blue screen, and told me right away that I was going to need either a new OS or new hard drive. In less than 24 hours, I had my laptop back in perfect working order, for exactly the quoted cost of new OS (the least expensive fix).
He managed my expectation, and I was in and out for exactly that expectation – and a feels-​like-​new computer.
MCC gets five stars for this one experience. If I have another need, I’d definitely feel comfortable trying MCC again.

Very good customer service. I spoke to John through ²⁴⁄₇ live chat at 10:00pm EST, and he was very thorough in researching to find out if something was compatible. Although I didn’t purchase anything from them, he helped me out a lot, and saved me a lot of time!

Since I wrote the review, I have called them exactly 10 times. They don’t answer my cell calls, but they do answer my gf’s cell calls, and the manager has never been in, and never called me back. Looking at the rest of the reviews, it looks like they do good work with everything BUT PS3s.
Oh well, live and learn.

Mike and his team did a great job in reformatting my laptop that I had for almost five years. All the programs started running quickly but had a problem with ITunes. One of the staff members downloaded a program that allowed me to transfer all of the files on my IPOD to the new Itunes Library. I was only charged $ 80 for the reformatting. Everything was completed in three days tops.

Horrible service. I took my PS3 in to fix. They first told me it will be $ 35 if they find the problem and I decide not to have it fixed and that they found the problem and they can fix it for $ 100. I said ok. They called back the next day saying they need to order a chip and the cost is now $ 120. At that point, I had no real options so I said ok. I waited a few days and never got a call back. I called and they said they need another 1 – 2 days to fix it. After 2 weeks from when I dropped it off I called and asked and they said they can not fix it. They were note even apologetic about wasting my time or not even calling me to update me on the status. I would definitely NOT recommend this place. They have unbelievably terrible customer service.

I had something wrong with my PS3 and I didn’t know what it was. I called these guys and over the phone described my PS3’s problem descriptively. I was assured by the guy on the phone that the my console had something burn out on the inside. I asked him over the phone if his shop would be able to fix the issue. He assured me that they could.
So, I brought my PS3 in to the shop and the guy there told me that I could come back for it in 24 hours. I thought, «Wow, fixed and ready to go in 24 hours? That’s awesome. That’s too good to be true.» Well, it was too good to be true because when I came back the next day I was told they couldn’t do anything for me.
So, although the staff seemed like a nice bunch of people, they weren’t able to fix the problem I had with my PS3 even though over the phone I was assured that the problem could be fixed.
Oh and in case you were wondering my PS3 basically kept blinking red. Still not sure what that means exactly.

My laptop stopped turning on and I did a little research and brought it to this place because I found it off eBay. It was a motherboard issue and they showed me what was wrong and told me what they were going to do to it. I dropped it off on a Friday and it was done on Tuesday… actually I called them and they said it was done so I don’t really know when it was actually finished. The guys working here are Vietnamese, super friendly and patient. Not shady at all and they take care of their customers. I had a great experience and would definitely come back! (*cross fingers* that I won’t need to for this problem)
For the motherboard issue, it costed $ 150 to fix and you pay after you pick it up, no deposit required. There’s a 90 day warranty on their repair service too. Definitely recommend this place.
