Mike’s Pizza & Taqueria

If I could give it 0 stars I would. A $ 40 meal from this place was a rip off. All the food tasted like it was microwaved and the mozzarella sticks were hard. AND the food was cold by the time we got it. Not worth any amount of money.

I recently moved and a lot of my old delivery places don’t come to my area. I found Mike’s on Eat 24 on a lazy Sunday where I’m relatively sure I accomplished a huge feat by not laying around in bed with my cat all day. Yeah, it was one of those days.
I ordered a pizza for my two roommates, and a calzone for myself with garlic bread and calamari to share. I didn’t try the pizza, but at $ 3 per topping we didn’t pile much onto it, so I don’t feel like I missed out there. Especially since the box is still sitting in the fridge, waiting for someone to finish off the last few slices. I should probably throw that out later.
The calzone was huge. It was like they folded a medium pizza in half and called it a day. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t have the right toppings. I paid for pineapple and ham, and got pepperoni, so that was a little disappointing.
The garlic bread was focaccia (I think), and it was fine. It held up really well in the fridge, too. I finished it off with some lasagna a few days later.
Calamari, eh, it was fried? It wasn’t soggy, so that’s a plus, but it wasn’t memorable. The sauce they included with it was extremely spicy. I like spicy food, but it was inedible, and it didn’t taste like much to begin with.
Overall, the quality of the food doesn’t match the price you pay for it. Also, they didn’t have bacon as a topping? Join us in 2014, guys.

We ordered delivery from Mike’s pizza tonight through grub hub. It’s the first time I’ve ordered from them and I had to get on and write a review. Our food was outstanding. We ordered cream of mushroom soup and salads– plus chicken Parmesan. That was the best tasting soup I’ve had in ages and I’m already looking forward to getting it again. Also the chicken pakora were excellent. Loved our food!

Disgrace to pizza everywhere. Not kidding. This is pizza that frozen pizza makes fun of.

You have to try to find pizza this bad. I’m not exaggerating. Its bad to the point where you feel bad for the place that’s serving it, because they were confident enough in the quality of that product to think that it would pass as food to the average guy.

This is for a delivery experience.
Delivery — pretty fast for delivery, only the sauce container for fries was deformed.
Food — in general, nothing extraordinary but also nothing bad. I would had given between three to four stars, except the Indian Pizza I ordered.
On the
menu, the description of the pizza:
Mix Vegetables Pizza — Olives, red onions, spinach, mushrooms, cauliflower, carrot, green beans paneer and mozzarella.
$ 15.99
and I chose flat style.

So… I am not sure whether the green beans and paneer were two separate toppings, or «the green beans paneer» was some kind of paneer, either way I did not see and couldn’t taste the green beans and paneer in anyway. Also where the hell was the cauliflower? Additionally, the spinach on the pizza was not only poorly cooked but also used sparingly. Overall, I did not feel like I ate an Indian pizza at all.
There is no way I could misordered my pizza because at the time of my order and this reivew, it was the only pizza on Mike’s Pizza’s
menu with carrots.
Will be extremely unlikely for me to order from Mike’s Pizza again.

Ordered a pizza from them at 6:30 and was told it would arrive in 45 mins. I should also mention that the place I was ordering to is a 2 min drive from the restaurant. At 7:40 I called to see where it was at. They assured me the person had left and they would be there in 10 mins. Well another 20 minutes went by and no pizza so we just called them to forget it. We were looking forward to trying something new but very disappointed with never receiving the food.

I don’t know about the the delivery part, but I do know that the food is good when I go there to pick-​up. This is a pretty unique concept in that you can get 3 different types of cuisines in one spot. The Indian samosas are bomb, especially with the Mexican hot sauce they give. I liked the fish pakoras too. They were spicy and were not overtly breaded like some other places. The Tandoori Pizza is good too. I have to come back to try the other Indian pizza, Italian food, and Mexican food.

I ordered delivery from Mike’s Pizza one night. It was about 8:30pm, the estimated delivery was about 9:30, which really should be enough time to get a simple order done and delivered. It was not. I called them around 10 to check on our order, the professional on the other end was anything but professional. He said it should be there real soon… The delivery arrived at about 10:15 and every item (3 things) were cold, really, really cold, two of those three cold items were wrong. The cold pizza was probably really good when it was fresh, and was still okay by the time it arrived. Cold garlic cheese fries are disgusting. Such a waste of time and money.

I actually didn’t realize this was a pizza place when I walked in. It’s actually in a convenience store and next door to a laundromat. Decent selection of Mexican beverages. Too bad I had just eaten otherwise I would have tried the pizza just to see what crazy seedy looking place like this could create.
