Miller & Hinkle Property Management

This property management company is the worse one can find in San Jose. Especially for renters. Be very careful when dealing with them. Better off, never rent any property managed by them. Liers and thieves. Forget about your security deposit. Record every communication with them. Never trust. Try to collect enough evidence to present your case in the court.

We’ve received a phone call from Aaron Miller regarding an application we placed for a rental. Truthfully, we knew there was a chance that our application would be declined but we figured it was definitely worth a shot. The conversation that we had with Aaron Miller was a very unpleasant one; he was by far the rudest person we have encountered in that office. I have called before and spoke with Kelly, who was very pleasant to speak with but Aaron Miller customer service was unprofessional and altogether just horrible! I hope Miller & Hinkle keep Aaron far away from their telephones in the future.

I don’t even know how to start with how bad this property «management» company is. I think they have got to be some of the biggest crooks I have ever encountered.
It looks like «Murali G“‘s review pretty much sums up our experience with them as well. They did not tend to the property in the least bit for the four years we rented from them. We told them there was a mold problem in the bathroom (as it had poor circulation, and mold on the walls when we moved in) — they told us to «just put a fan in there» and brushed it off as a nonissue. The house was FILTHY (visible dirt in the bathroom and kitchen corners) when we moved in — but they ripped us off on our deposit, anyway — even though the place was much cleaner when we moved out than when we moved in.
Every time we have had to deal with them they have given me some of the worst vibes ever. If you do have the unfortunate chance of dealing with them — I highly suggest to document EVERYTHING, take pictures — write it down on the lease. Make sure to do that, as they are an awful company, imho. Good luck.

Spiders and drug store beetles flood the property. I found two black widow spiders behind my fridge and all of my stored grains, rices, etc. were infested with drug store beetles. Management never responded to repair requests, and they constantly play «hot potato» when dealing with customers.
Ron Miller spoke to me when moving in and reassured me that they were an honest property management company. However, on move out they overcharged me and when I kindly asked to speak to Ron (the same person who insisted on speaking with me when I moved in), he literally refused to answer the phone. Instead, Aaron Miller (I believe his son) answered the phone and told me they don’t want to speak to me. What was I calling in regard to? A $ 200 cleaning charge on move-​out, despite the fact that I took over the lease from a friend and the place was never cleaned in between. The apartment was actually left in a significantly cleaner condition than when I moved in.

We just moved in here and they are really nice!!! We had a small issue with the sink and shower the day we called them.

We have worked with Miller & Hinkle for over two years now and they are the best property management company we have encountered thus far. This family run business is rather «old school», communicating by telephone rather than email and handling any issues that arise in person. This does take a bit more time, but it hasn’t been a problem in our case. Each time something comes up, Aaron takes care of it right away, always respecting our time and privacy. It is refreshing to work with honest and polite people like Aaron and Wayne. I recommend Miller & Hinkle to property owners and renters alike.

Miller and Hinkle property management is terrible and horrible company. the ameneties are very bad. they dont return calls and they dont give proper reasons for any of their mistakes. i would definitely not recommend this property to any of my friends or relatives.

I’m an owner of a property managed by Miller and Hinkle and based on my experience, I would recommend their services both to owners of property and renters who are looking for a home. I’ve had experience with other property managers and this company has simply been the best. They are professional, thorough and you get the feeling that they are taking a personal interest in your needs. I have not experienced this with other management companies. Every time I have business with Ron Miller, he explains the situation and takes care of my needs efficiently. I have also been impressed with other people who work in the office which gives me a sense of confidence that I have the right people representing me. If you also want to feel confidence when it comes to your property management needs, I would look no further than Miller and Hinkle.

Although the office is very busy, the people are direct and considerate when it comes to serious renters. As a renter, I’ve scanned through hundreds of fake rental ads. So, I can imagine their work, having to scan through hundreds of renters who are «shopping» for information.
If you are shopping for information, this is not the property management company to do that with. However, if you are serious about applying for one of their properties, and you’ve made the effort to drive by the property and the neighborhood, then it’s worthwhile to pursue relations w/​this company.
There’s a genuine side to this company, perhaps that is why so many owners entrust their properties to this company.
