Terrible. Bun had been frozen, so stale and dry. Burger too greasy, not juicy. Not worth it.

Why is there 2 from a block of each other haha. Anyways got the ham omelette and it wasn’t bad. Hash browns were legit. Friendly staff too and price is doable.

Very disappointed in this place. I got a veggie omelette with NOONIONS! When I get it what does it have tons of onions. This place is over priced and the food is not good at all. I could give this place 0 stars if possible

My husband and I were on our way to the Silicon Valley Auto Show at Mc Enery Convention Center and we stopped in for a bite before checking out the new vehicles. The place is a retro soda shop. I ordered the Spicy Peanut Wrap. It was ‘Hot’ to the point where it was not enjoyable. There wasn’t much chicken, not too much peanut flavor, but a whole lot of rice filler. I would not suggest this as a meal choice. The side salad was large but the lettuce had seen better days. So, my husband ordered a burger and fries. I tasted his burger and it was delicious(Peggy Sue’s is known for its burgers and rightfully so!) Their fries were good but, weren’t piping hot like I like them. Go to Peggy Sue’s for burgers and skip the Spicy Peanut Wrap!

Nice little spot for affordable breakfast in the area. Good portion sizes and food is pretty good. I ordered the Chicken Fajita with wheat toast and a cup of fruit. Fruit was fresh, toast and homefries were cooked right, and omelette was pretty tasty. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the chicken they use in the omelette is the type of rubbery chicken you’d see at a fast food joint. But overall recommended

Ah. This place. I ordered the Philly cheese steak — the bread was cold, the cheese was cold. I had to ask them to toast my bread and just heat the whole thing up. So disappointing. My stomach was hurting and I threw it all up after. The restroom, let’s not even talk about that. I am never coming back. I’m giving this place a 2 * only because it’s Christmas and I am feeling generous.

Worst food ever! Bread was horrible. Burger was horrible. Fries okay. Kids chicken strips over cooked. Stick to the ice cream.

When I want a breakfast burrito done right and I don’t want to do it myself, I head over to Peggy Sue’s. The very large burrito has bacon, egg, potato, cheese, and salsa wrapped in a large warm tortilla. Best breakfast burrito in San Jose that I have tried.

It’s easy to find overpriced, underwhelming places in the area but this isn’t one of them. A buddy and I were downtown and happened on this place coming from Plaza de César Chavez and Christmas in the Park. I’ve been to many places that use a 1950s theme. This doesn’t do it any better than any other that wasn’t around in the 1950s but the theme doesn’t make the food any different. We went to the counter and ordered. There are a lot of selections. I got Chicken Noodle soup and salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing. My buddy got the Balls of Fire burger and seasoned fries. When they called the number, and it took a while, we went to the counter to pick up the food. To me, this is an important point – they have a tip jar but if we’re ordering at the counter, picking up the food, getting our own drinks – for what should I tip? Everything looked good. Everything seemed fresh. The soup was barely warm but it seemed home made with good, plump egg noodles, good chicken, and a mild broth. Apparently, the burger was good. I tasted a couple of the fries and they were good. The salad was very fresh and the dressing was good, if a bit sweeter than expected. Service was friendly.

Pretty standard American diner. I appreciate that they have a lot of choices in terms of burgers, but I was not impressed with my selection. My veggie burger fell apart, and my mom said her burger was pretty dry. The curly fires was unreal delicious though! I pretty much just filled up on those bad boys and left satisfied. Plus it was pretty awesome that you get free all day parking in the garage when you eat there. That is what made the whole meal worth it.

I’m having one of the best breakfast burritos ! It’s chorizo and not greasy gross! I also am a fan of the tuna sandwich! I have not been disappointed once here!

The food isn’t great. There was a hair on the counter mayo. The hashed potato were super dry. The steak wasn’t even steak it was so thin and dry. The only items that tasted decent was the scrambled eggs and toast.

If you want to wait a year and a half for your food come here. Asked how long said five more minutes Twenty minutes later we went to the cashier to ask for a refund and this is what we got, «please give me five more minutes.» Service is terrible There a bugs because they leave the doors open. If you have a question no one answers you. Basically worst place I’ve ever been to, thought I’d try it out, but it was so bad we were just like forget it lets leave.

Prices for this place aren’t bad at all. Seems like burger places for 2 usually are around $ 25. I ordered the Porky Pig burger with cheddar cheese. I really disliked the bun. It had lots of flour on it making it extremely difficult to clean your hands. I was wearing black pants and it looked like someone threw flour on me. Meat was lacking flavor, so I had to add additional condiments just to make it ok. The star of this place is the curly fries! Crispy and fresh! Wish I would have gotten a large order. They are way too delicious!!! They were great by themselves but awesome when dipped in ketchup! I would come back just to get more of these!!!

I’ve been here about half a dozen times and they are always consistent. The burgers are good and the shake fantastic. I usually call ahead so I never have to wait for my food when I get there. The URL listed on the Unilocal page is wrong as there are two Peggy Sues’ and they have different menus. I usually order the T-Bird or the Great Balls of Fire. Two great burgers!!! Now, if they can just get the waitresses to wear poodle skirts(and roller skates), then that’d complete the image. :)

Just a simple burger place I would say with a lot of options to choose from. The burger is presented in a really well designed concept, it tastes pretty good and the fries are great! I took the Hollywood burger which had the best Avocado you can have :) the atmosphere was simple and authentic and the people are friendly. Bot a business meeting but a casual hangout with friends would do in this place and if you’re hungry, you would definitely be satisfied after finishing up your plate! They need to work on explaining more the options and side orders. When I ordered I got a drink with it but was never handed the cup which I had to ask for later on. So small things but overall it’s pretty good.

I was staying in San Jose on vacation and I decided to try Peggy Sue’s for breakfast. one of the great things about this restaurant is they validate parking for the garage next-door. for the event that I was attending the parking was $ 15. I spent about $ 17 on breakfast so ultimately the net cost of my breakfast was about two dollars after they validated the parking. The service is fast because you order at the counter and the food is all American 50s style breakfast. my daughter had a milkshake and she said it was really good. the restaurant is decorated with lots of 50s 60s type memorabilia and there’s a lot of interesting things to look at on the walls. If you’re staying in San Jose near downtown looking for a quick inexpensive breakfast this is a good choice.

First – they offer free all-day parking on WEEKENDS. That saves you at least $ 7 if you park in the complex and it’s so close to the Tech museum, and even the SJ convention center, you can actually save money eating here! The food is very good and reasonable. My angus cheeseburger was $ 6(just the burger, though, no fries). The $ 3.50 fries are delicious, coated with some light spices(but not spicy). My friend had the club sandwich – and it was both enormous, and delicious, freshly made, crisp bacon. That was $ 7.59. The place is cute, 50’s style, with lots of interesting posters. So, the food was good and reasonable. The location is great, and with free weekend parking, it’s a no-brainer!

When the BFF& I were looking for dinner before the Fleetwood Mac show @ HP Pavilion, traffic was so bad we didn’t think we’d be able to eat at all… enter Peggy Sue’s There was a parking garage right across the street, which is the only way we found this place & made a beeline BFF chose the Porky Pig which was a bacon burger of some sorts & I opted for the Veggie Burger w/cheese & avocado… told in advance they were out of lettuce & tomato(WHAT!!!) we had to take our burgers plain Vanilla & Chocolate shakes were out of this world delish — not to pass up! When our burgers came out, mine was plain — like a frozen patty on a dry bun &BFF received a veggie patty w/bacon all over it Who would order a veggie burger w/bacon?! When we refused the order, the guy went back to the kitchen & we could see him arguing w/the cooks about their mistake & finally things were worked out & we got the correct items The patty, even though frozen, was decent… would have been better w/lettuce & tomato. No onion, no pickle, nothing but a few thin slices of avocado & barely a slice of cheese — it had melted to the point it was clear & I doubted it was even there. Still it was okay — worth a do-over to see how they usually serve it BFF said his burger was just okay as well But for offering the ultimate-delish milkshakes, plus a super-fast meal & feeding us before the concert, have to say that ranks A-OK

Peggy Sue’s is awesome if you want a quick breakfast, lunch, or dinner while in City View Plaza. I love that they don’t give me side eye for super customizing my breakfast burrito and sandwich orders here. The staff is always super accommodating. They have the yummiest fajita salad that I hope never gets taken off of the menu. This is also a great spot to take the kids before or after Christmas in the Park. My son is a huge fan of the strawberry milkshakes here. Fangirl fasho
