Piedmont Hills Montessori Academy & School

Nice location for nearby kids. Like all Montessori’s they have their ‘circuit training’ of classes. I found it was a very clean and well run facility.

I visited this school recently and found it to be very clean and well organized. I was very impressed at how clean it was. They also have a nice play ground area (two separate play areas — one for older kids). The Director is very nice and friendly. The teachers seem to be very knowledgeable and friendly and treat the children as they would their own kids. I highly recommend for people to come out and check this place out for themselves.

My 2 year old has been going here for awhile unitl NOW. Thought it was a nice spot for my daughter since its down the block from home. After awhile, I’ve noticed this placed was MONEY HUNGRY and all the director does was yell and complain… 1) When my daughter became sick & stayed home, they had the decency to tell us to sign my daughter in so they can get paid more money? OHH HELL NO 2) They charged extra money for potty training toddlers… I HAVE NOT SEEN ANY PROGRESS WHATSOEVER. Are they even potty training??? Who knows. 3) I’ve had the director call me like every damn second about payments! JEEZ, your money will come!!! So I told them I’m taking my daughter out of there and she replies «Thats fine with me». I’m warning all you parents out there. DO NOT take your kids here, your litto ones deserve MUCH better than this place who just wants your money!

My son went to this school for 2 weeks, and everyday before we even approached the school, he is so unhappy that he vomits. The director just seems like she didn’t care. The only thing she said was «Oh, he will get over it!»
I wasn’t impressed with the teachers as well. One day he came home and told me that a boy hit him, and when I asked the teachers, they said nothing happen. After that, I took him out.

My 3 year old went to this school for about a year until my hubby and I decided that we «tried» the school enough.
When we interviewed with the director, the first thing we immediately noticed was how EXTREMELY CLEAN the facility was. Next, we toured the classrooms and our son seemed to feel at home. The Director told us that our child would leave the school knowing how to read, etc. etc.
At first, my husband and I were pleasantly surprised — our son would come home singing songs he’d just learned, as well as count from 1 – 10 in Spanish. But then, the teacher (Miss Beth) who taught him all of that left (poof! gone!)! She was then replaced with another very nice lady, but our son didn’t learn anything new after Miss Beth left. Even worse, my son wasn’t very motivated to go to school anymore. Each day, we’d say … «It’ll get better. He’ll learn something again.»
Unfortunately, each day, it became clearer to us that the place was more of a daycare than a preschool. There was one day when my husband went to pick up our son (it was about 5:30pm) and my husband said that all the kids were just sitting there with the teacher, in silence, waiting for parents to pick them up.
In the end, my husband and I decided to pull our son out. We’re disappointed that the «Montessori» name wasn’t very impressive in the end.
