I order family meals 8 pieces mild chicken with one side. I ask for coleslaw as my order, and additional mash potatoes. About 5 minutes later they told me the store running out of mild chicken, and I agree to wait for additional 8 minutes. When I pick up I asked where is my mash potatoes, and when I show my receipt apparently the clerk forgot to include in the order. So I have to paid extra for my mash potatoes.

Not much to say about Popeyes except my opinion on the service here. I rarely eat here since I live nearby, so I’ll take it home. The store is kept pretty clean. The majority of the employees have been pretty friendly and welcoming

It is better quality of fast food chicken than… let’s say KFC. :P I like their chicken strips, biscuit and mashed potatoes, but I was not full after I ate them. Disappointing and I don’t even eat a lot… I had to go back for their apple pie, which takes 7 minutes to make.(They ask you if you are okay to wait for that long.) I thought it was worth the wait. The apple pie is covered with cinnamon sugar and extra crispy. It was only $ 0.99, which is same as McDonald’s. Come here on Tuesday for $ 2 leg and thigh deal! Definitely will be back. :)

I was excited to see that Popeyes recently made positive changes within the restaurant, including their quality of services. They’ve revamped the menu screens and now accept credit card as payment. The workers are friendly and efficient with taking orders, and they double-checking the orders with you before you take it. Fries taste fresher and chicken tastes crispier. Unfortunately, I found a hair in my second piece of chicken… that shouldn’t ever happen… it definitely wasn’t mine because it was weaved into the chicken/crispy skin. Inspect your food between every bite.

This place is not worth visiting. People were waiting for 30min for their orders. I ended up getting s refund and leaving.

This being my first time at a Popeye’s, I checked out the Rip’n Chicken which includes a huge piece of fried chicken as well as some spicy fries and hot sauce. Not too fond of spicy foods in general, I was pleasantly surprised at the tangy-ness of the chicken itself, as well as the fries, and hot sauce. The portion of the meal was so big that I ended up saving the leftovers and giving it to the homeless guy outside the door. I sure hope he enjoyed his free meal.

On Tuesdays when they have their leg and thigh special for $ 1.99, there is usually a line queue of about 3 – 5 people. Each person orders like this — 6 orders, spicy. No need to say what your are ordering cuz everyone is ordering the special. Their deep fried fruit pies are pretty good too. Note it is deep fried, not baked like McD. And they fry it after you order it, pipping hot. Lately, I have declared Tue dinner as Popeye Tuesday. But I am hearing complains about too much grease from a family member so don’t know how long I can keep this gig going.

The slowest and unorganized Popeyes in San Jose! It never fails… you will wait 20+ minutes for your food. I’ve been waiting since 7:10 pm and my number has not been called

Came here for $ 2 leg and thigh deal. The servers were friendly. I was disappointed with the wings though. It was too oily. The store is pretty dirty during the happy hours and there are plenty of somewhat ratchets.

BEWARE: Unless you are willing to play a two-player game of Russian Roulette with the devil himself I would not visit this Popeyes. On one hand you may get lucky and in turn receive some fresh fries and chicken. But on the other hand you may be royally screwed by satan and receive some stale fries and chicken — I swear, rubber would be easier to chew than their strips. You may as well just go into the super market across the devils den for some rotisserie chicken that’s ACTUALLY fresh and ready.

I love the food. Some, not all of the employees are friendly. But I don’t expect much from a fast food joint. However, they did screw up my order recently. It was a Tuesday. Either the cashier screwed it up or the person assembling my meal did.

Tuesdays are the best days because Popeyes. You get 2 pieces of chicken for a cheap price. I forget, but it’s a good ass deal because the pieces of chicken are huge. My favorite sauce is the blackened ranch — so good with the chicken tenders. But the only thing I actually really do love from Popeyes is their mashed potatoes. That gravy and hint of spice in it is so good! It’s really a hit or miss here. Your food can come out good or bad, but it’s all how the workers are feeling that day.

Since the change of management, this Popeyes has gone down the drain. The manager takes no responsibility over his staff and just shrugs off every complaint that is thrown his way, but does resolve them to the best of his ability(maybe), takes a little while though. Cashier is sloppy, forgets orders and takes no initiative. I have gotten so many things on my order, but I will continuing going back. I love my chicken more than that.

the WORST crew esp kitchen crew. RUDE, CRUDE and UNACCOMMODATING!!! I requested all thighs and was even willing to pay extra for it and this young fella in the back yelled out ‘cant do that’…when there’s tons of cooked thighs available and no customers.

Popeyes never dissapoints! My boyfriend craves some good old fried chicken usually once a week, so we go here often. Personally, I prefer Popeyes over KFC because of the breading. It is always always crispy, enough so to hear a crunch when you bite in compared to the softer breading at KFC. TIP: Come here on Tuesdays for their special!

It’s a damn shame that I only discovered Popeyes after high school. Yes, it is better than KFC but you’ve gotta give them more credit. The skin on the fried chicken is really crunchy and thin. It doesn’t have huge random chunks of fat like KFC does so it doesn’t feel as heavy either. The Tuesday deal is simply the best, otherwise it’s rather expensive for a few pieces of fried chicken. I’m not a huge fan of their lackluster sides but the yummy, fresh chicken makes up for it. You know I’ll be back.

Came in on Tuesday yesterday for the usual deal. We came in ten min before closing so they had only two orders left, which is extremely understandable! The service was great and all the workers, Fabian, Cheryl, the sweet girl who boxed our chicken and the guy who I assume was the supervisor(?) went above and beyond to serve us. Thank you for being so considerate and not rude even though we came in last minute. I can probably imagine everyone would just want to get out of there but they were so friendly. We even got free coleslaw. Thanks Popeyes!!! :)

This is apparently the place to go on a Tuesday for their $ 1.49 for two pieces of chicken special. The line was out the door by the time I arrived at 5:30 p.m. Ken L. wanted to come pick up a gift card/certificate here along with some chicken to bring back for dinner. This is where we learned that they don’t have gift cards/certificates for sale. We ended up bringing back 20 pieces of chicken(regular and spicy) along with some sides: mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, Cajun fries, and biscuits. I’m not a fan of the fried chicken at Popeyes or KFC. The mashed potatoes were okay but I prefer the one at KFC better. The mac and cheese was probably the biggest disappointment. The Cajun fries and biscuits were probably my favorites out of everything. Note: For everyone who was complaining that this was a cash only place before, they accept credit cards now.

I came in for the Tuesday special as we were feeling like a fried chicken night. Since we don’t like KFC that much we typically would go to Popeyes instead. I ordered 10 pieces of the 2 piece special in spicy. Our order came out right and they asked me if I wanted some hot sauce when the order came out. I asked for extra hot sauce since we like it spicy. I’m so glad this place now accepts credit cards as it makes it much easier to pay. We always saw we are not going to eat any more fried chicken, but for some reason make our way back here.
