This lady is rude and unpleasant she rushes through her appointments. And seems to get irritated when asking her questions. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!!!

Saw Dr. Phan a few years back for my annual check up. The wait was longer than the time Dr. spent during my exam. She was not that nice and in a rush.

When I was searching through my insurance network I failed to look on Unilocal at the reviews. I felt belittled by this doctor during my appointment. My 4-​year old son even came with me and did not smile at her! He’s such a sweet and friendly boy. Any ways, during my first interaction with her she felt as if she was superior to me. I’m a young mother carrying her third child and she asked, «Your third child? I think it’s a bad idea.» I ignored that comment and later noticed her other remarks. «If you work full-​time who watches your kids?» «How do you work from home if you work for a large company» «If your kids do no get vaccinated how do they go to school» — After these questions her responses had me livid. Yes, I gave her an attitude and let me pregnancy hormones kick in.
If you are a doctor in this field and you see patient’s, please down play the «I am better than you attitude» and get rid of that stank face before even meeting with a patient.
Oh and her staff, front-​desk sweet gal. Girl, working in the back office — RUDE just like her boss. She submitted my papers to go see someone for an ultrasound, puts on the request I have a certain insurance carrier. This ultrasound place had to reconfirm with me what insurance I had.
Called back Dr. Phan’s office mentioning they could have the wrong insurance in their system because the ultrasound place had something different. The assistant then says to me, «We just put any insurance because the verify anyways.»
I worked in the medical field before and let me tell you, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM — Bad attitude, bad process and very unprofessional.

She is so terrible at doing Pap smear. After a week from the office visit, I’m still having spotted blood. She is pretty rough during the exam, very rude and unprofessional. Luckily I found another OB/​GYN who is more considerate than she is.

She’s a good doctor I make a late appointment and I didn’t even wait long I got in right away. She was detailed. Not a bad doc so far

The clinic was nice and clean and Dr. Phan was nice and friendly. The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that they made me wait an hour just to see Dr. Phan even tho I had an appointment. They somehow messed up the order of the patients and let the two people that came after me first. Which made me really upset, but since Dr. Phan was polite and answered all my questions I will come back again if I have any questions.

In all honesty I dont think she deserves one star at all. I seen Dr. Phan last week, and shes very rude, impolite, not friendly or considerate of your feelings what so ever. OH and it seems as if she likes to put you down for no reason. First she starts saying rude comments about when am i going to take my nose ring out. i replied i didnt know piercings harmed the baby? she said they dont but when are you going to take it out? basically saying she doesnt lie it. so she proceeds to tel my to lie back to feel my other piecings and makes even more rude comments. she works her way up and sees my tattoo and was like” omg and tattoos –_​– is it your boyfriends name?” said no my grandmothers. she replies sarcastially «she must be so happy you have that, good thing its not your boyfriends name because your just going to get a new one then what will you do?» EXCUSE ME ! shes not only talking about my boyfriend but the father to my baby! then tells me i wont be able tosee the baby because its too early (i was 5 weeks and 5 days) she then tries to do the ultra sound but doesnt seem like she tried hard enough then gives up and was like no cant see anything or hear a heart beat. i asked when shell be able too. she said PROBABLY 2 weeks. i asked do i come then? she said no 4 weeks. i was like seriously? i was freaking out that she couldnt see anything. shouldnt she want to try as soon as possible? but no. i left in tears with being so furious ! i wouldnt recomend her to anyone!

I saw this doctor in 2004 and she was very rude and condescending. In fact, the first thing she asked when she walked into the exam room was «Do you speak Vietnamese?» and after I answered that I didn’t, she rudely asked me why not? Uhhh… because I’m not Vietnamese, lady. Dr. Phan made me feel like an idiot and I actually left the office in tears. I was only at her office twice (the 2^nd time to pick up my medical records to have it transferred elsewhere!). Even something so simple, the office staff was not courteous or professional about and made it hard for me to take my files.
Luckily, I got the heck out of there and found myself a new ob/​gyn. I am glad I did not have to endure her and her narrow views/​opinions for the remainder of my pregnancy. Ladies, save yourself some money and time, especially if you are expecting. If you are looking for a caring and pleasant ob/​gyn in a friendly office environment you will not find one here!

Had her deliver my daughter back in 2004 and I must say she was very impolite to me. Rushed through every appointment that I have with her. Talked to me as if I am a child and made me feel uncomfortable. My first visit with her was to find out the sex of my baby and she literally shout out the sex of the baby to me and my husband. Lady I am right next you and not deaf. I speak perfect english and I am not stupid. At first I was thinking of going back to see her again due to that I have another baby on the way, but noticing the many bad reviews about this Dr. I feel I am not the only one who feels this way about her. So I will not be seeing her again. Word of advice to Dr. Rebecca Phan… if you don’t like your job, do us (all patients a favor)…QUIT! Thank you!!!

horrible, rude. deserves 0 stars. do not go to this doctor. she is a serious b! i would not trust her with my pregnancy. one visit was enough for me.

Not very friendly or pleasant to talk to. Seemed to talk down to me when I told her I wanted to pursue Nursing.
By the way, they don’t accept credit cards for payment only checks. BUT, they don’t even tell you that and send you an invoice with no directions or further information on it telling you how you should pay.

I think giving 1 star is giving too much for this lady! I was doing research this morning for a new obgyn because my current one didnt satisfy me. I found doctor phan and knowing me! i forgot to check her ratings! i went on ahead and called the office staff, she spoke to me with respect and a had a soft voice. i got an appointment for 3pm i came in and was greeted and felt welcomed. They got me into a room and had me wait for the doctor. she was in the other room with another patient and i was told she would be with me soon. I waited patiently hearing her speak very loudly in the other room with the other patient about brand name clothes? and family bussiness i believe? i am not nosey, really im not. SHE WAS JUST REALLY TALKING THAT LOUD. 20 mins passed and finally she stopped talking and 5 mins later she came in my room, greeted me with a nice «hi, how are you today» she seemed nice, until she opened my files, and noticed i was under age and i was young for being pregnant. as she was doing my ultrasound (the machines look super outdated!!) she was asking me,“does your parents know?” i answered yes, and she replied «well im suprised your still alive and they havent killed you yet» and than she went on and asked «why are you keeping the baby? thought about abortion? your wasting time. your not going to be able to support this baby.» i was shocked ! i felt judged for being young & pregnant! i needed comfort and thats not what i got! she did a long ultra sound and than asked me «why did you come to me? because your obgyn before didnt tell you if it was a boy or girl? you couldnt wait so you got an excuse to come to me so i can tell you the gender?» that was the last straw and i left! she was rude and judgemental! I’d be stupid to let her deliver my child! im going to look for a new OBGYN once again! save your time and do not go to her!

I would never recommend this doctor in a million year. She’s the worst OBG. I’ve been wanting a second kid and it finally happened after 7 months. She asked if this was unplanned. I had c-​section with my first so I want to do natural so I can have more kids later. She was stereotype to say that asian usually dont’ have more than 3 and I shouldn’t either. She doesn’t care and have bery bad manners. I only went to her office twice and both times, I was upset after I was done talking to her. Run as far as you can from her office. I can’t imagine how bad it could be if I continue with her for this pregnancy. I’m not takign that chance.

I thought Dr. Pham was great. I was going through some rough times with my health and Dr. Pham was very supportive & and very professional.
She has a beautiful office & has always been there. I would recommend her. I have gone to her for about 4 – 5 years. I am so sorry to see that other have had a bad experience, but mine was good.

My MD refferals me to go see Dr. Phan for a pap test as part of my annual check up. I called the number to schedual an appointment. The receptionist puts me on hold for awhile b4 gave me a date, time, and address without giving the suite #. Today is my first time to the office. B4 I was heading there, I called ¾ times to confirmed my appt. It wasn’t going well. The receptionist couldn’t speaks well in English and slur words all in one sentence. They put you on hold for a long time without telling you, they’re outing you on hold. I don’t mind putting on hold for five min. When my last try it when they just put me thru voice mail. I was giving up. I was there 10:30, my appt. was 11am. I came and was trying to ask a vietnamese receptionist if I have appt. today? She told me to sign in on the sign in sheet. I went and sat down and looking to see if the receptionist would take a minute to look on the sign in sheet to see who I am or am I a new patient/​old patient. who needs to fill out forms. Nope! As the time get closer to my appt. time. I stand up and asked another receptionist if I need to fill out any forms. At this time I’m telling myself this is the last time I would be at this office. Both receptionists was talking loud and acts unprofessional. When comes to healthcare industry. I think receptionists should well dress in cleaning and presentable. I wasn’t impress by the way they dress and if she couldn’t take time to clean up for herself they is no way she has time to help me. When I was called in to the exam room was about 11:36am. I was undress bottom down and waiting, waiting, and more waiting. Next thing I know from the receptionist that the doctor is out for delivery! The receptionist asked if I want to come back later? I told her, no. I want my co-​pay and all the forms back. I left that office by noon time. I thought what a bad way to start out the year, but reading the comments from others, I think I’m was very lucky that this happens to me. I didn’t know how dr. Rebecca face look like, but I would be dumb and born out a different hole if I ever let her delivery my kid or check my body! I think the standards of dr. and patients services are bad here in US or maybe the vitemanese don’t take and pride in their work. After this, I’m firing my MD as well, I’m counting on him and trust him in giving me the best recommendation! I lost my trust in him! If you don’t trust me, just give her a try and try maybe you get a better experince the me.

HI. Yes, I agree with many people on this site. I had this Doctor in 1996. She was awful, back them also. I am not shock to be hear or reading all this. I just thought it was me, but now i see i was not the only one. she does criticize you and put you down. I never felt comfortable with her at all. she isn’t understanding and not pleasant at all. I got a new Doctor years ago. You, would think that a «woman Doctor like her for being a lady would be on your side», not, that is sad…

Not a very friendly or understanding doctor. She’s curt, sometimes impolite & seems to rush through her appointments which came off to me as less than thorough. She may be suitable as a gynecologist but I wouldn’t want her to deliver my baby… and that’s why I switched medical care fast!

This lady need to back to medical school. She hurt me when she did my pap smear. She inserted that plastic thing to open your you know what and was rotating it. It hurt soooo much. I had pain for 1 week. I would never suggest this Dr. to anyone!

I’m sorry, but giving her ONE star is OVERDOING it. This woman needs some bedside manners BIG TIME. She was my Ob/​Gyn for my first born. I, being naïve at the time, thought that I was too far along to have to deal with a new doctor that could have possibly been worse than her. I was nervous to go to each appointment, because I was anticipating what she would say or do to insult me that next time. I was too young, I was too fat, I was too tall, I was too this, I was too that. AND! On top of everything she put me through, her equipment is so outdated that she cannot give accurate ultrasounds, etc. She also seems to favor Vietnamese patients. I remember being at the hospital, and she didn’t even talk to my family, but as soon as she got to the other side of the room (we had to share a room with another family at O’Conner) she was chopping it up in her own language. SHE DIDN’T EVEN GREET ME OR MY FAMILY WHEN I WAS DELIVERING, and when it came time to actually do the final pushing, she wasn’t even around, and she advised the nurses to make me «Hold on» until she got there. EASIER SAID THAN DONE, don’t you think??? If you have the chance to find another doctor, PLEASE do it. Save yourself the humiliation, and abuse.
