Rock Solid Bicycles

Huge fan of Mark’s work. Solid shop all around, with a quick turnaround. I’ll definitely be back when i’m in the market for a fat bike! These guys seem to really know their stuff!

My son needed some work on his bike and we decided to take a stab at Rock Solid Bicycles and we were really pleased with the level of service and attention to detail that Mike took to make sure all of our needs were met. We didn’t have to leave the bike there and return. He worked on it while we waited and within 20 minutes we were out riding again. This is a rock solid organization and we’ll be coming here for all of our bike repair needs in the future.

I came in one day to buy some innertubes and tires and when I got home I realized I purchased the wrong valve. I came in the next day and the guy replaced both no questions asked. Easy to deal with and very nice customer service.

Went on a morning ride to get some breakfast with my wife and son. My handle bars and stem had been loose for the past month or two, forcing me to always carry my bike tool to tighten when it got wobbly. Knew it was stripped but hadn’t had a chance to take care of it. Stopped by Rock Solid and talked with Michael, who looked at it, agreed, and then broke down what I needed and how much it would cost. I left the house thinking anything under $ 200 I would agree to, because that stuff can get expensive fast. It was under $ 100 and he managed to fit it in his repairs while I was at breakfast. Not a big shop, but always super awesome customer service when I walk in, even if they have to keep working on a bike they’ve got. If you need tune-​ups or repairs, I seriously recommend this place. Good folks. If you need a bunch of random crap (as I have at points), you might need to hit up a bigger place like Sports Basement, but Rock Solid’s selection is still good, repairs are fast, and the people working here are friendly and knowledgable.
I’ll be back anytime I need a fix.

This is the best bike shop in the Bay Area. The service is fast, fair and they don’t talk down to you. If you want your bike tuned up right or just want to get some tips on fixing your bike, these are the guys

Really good bike shop. These guys know their stuff. I’ve gone by multiple times and I’ve left happy. Very fast service, great prices and an overall awesome environment.

OK I was only in for a simple repair — but what great people. Super helpful, very fast service at a reasonable cost and some great advice for future bike purchase. (And parking is the best in Alum Rock Village!) Will totally be back.

Wonderful neighborhood bike shop. I came across Rock Solid before heading to Alum Rock Park for a ride. Mike and Mark were great to talk too, knowledgeable, and kind. I’ve brought my bike back to them for a tune up which left my bike feeling like new. They were thorough, and super affordable. Keep supporting your neighborhood small businesses! Keep culture alive in our communities! I’ll be back, thanks again guys!

Its nice to know there is a local neighborhood bike shop in the east foothills area now. Stopped in here even though they weren’t quite open for business at the time I was able to get some air in my tires, a quick tuneup and some new pedals put on my bike. Nice little shop and great service, thanks!
