S & M Concrete

In our last house (before Unilocal existed), I had hired the flakiest contractor to do a flagstone pathway. Three times, it was like, «I’ll be there tomorrow for sure.» All I can say is I’m grateful I never gave that guy money up front.
My neighbor had just used S&M Concrete for cement work and suggested I call them instead. When I did, the owner, Sal, said they do stone/​flagstone work too. Our lucky day! Their prices were really reasonable (even more so when you consider just how much physical labor is involved) and they did a beautiful job.
We just had them do the same kind of work — flagstone — at our new place. (We got the stone from Peninsula Building Materials.) Sal and his crew really thought about the colors of the stone and the way they worked together as they laid everything out.
While he was working on the flagstone, Sal took a look at three of the concrete blocks on our patio. They’d shifted over the years and become really uneven. They were so bad that each time our older relatives came over, I’d literally say a prayer that nobody would break a hip. Sal and his crew broke the blocks out and repoured them. Now everything is safe, level & looking great.
Really, really surprised to be the first person to review these guys. They’re awesome and I’ll bet they have a ton of other happy customers out there.
