Great food, great service. I always like to go to a place where the owners remember me. It adds a local touch that you rarely find here in the Silicon Valley. They are always really friendly and attentive. They have a small dining room 5 tables max, but plenty of elbow room. The food is relatively fast for fresh, well seasoned food. They serve vegan, vegetarian, and omnivore foods, just let them know and they will be sure to accommodate. Hope you like it as much as I have.

I would come back again! First time I came here I ordered th r rice noodle soup with shrimp. It was good! Although, it was kinda salty. The second time, I ordered Pad See Ew. It was a bit salty but still tasty; I wish they would put fried egg on top. Jasmine tea flavored water is a bonus for me. I believe they also serve deep fried tempura ice cream, but I haven’t tried it. Definitely a place to try out.

We stopped by to try out their Hu Tieu Sa Dec. It was very bland. The meat sauce had no flavors at all and instead of the shrimp cracker that it was advertised with, we received 1 half dollar sized shrimp chip? It was loaded with noodles and less of the toppings. I also ordered the Bo Loc Lac, which it did NOT look like the picture that’s also in this gallery. I had probably about 10 pieces of meat, a few strips of onion and possibly 4 – 5 less than an inch square bell peppers. It was very disappointing. The owner was very generous and gave me a Pandan Mung Bean drink, which I am grateful but I had rather have that effort go towards their food. We most likely will not visit again.

Nice mom & pop shop — food is good, especially if you’re looking for vegan fare.

The place is OK. It’s a neighborhood place that’s vegetarian friendly, so don’t expect Gordon Ramsey standards here. An old Asian mom and grandma runs the small place, so be prepared to feel like you’re eating at your mom’s house. I order here to go, and even in that small spand of time, they will get personal o_O. They will talk to you, talk to your kids, maybe even give your kid a blow up long balloon, and tell him or her they can make it into whatever they want(even though making balloon animals are not exactly a common skill set for toddlers… that’s why balloon artists can charge a lot). Some people will take this personal attention with arms wide open and call them so friendly, and awesome. Others who aren’t used to old Asian moms, will take it as if they’re a little to up in their business, and will call it «Awkward». The food is alright, a bit oilier than I’d like, but maybe it’s just the pad Thai dish i ordered.

Awesome little hole in the wall. The service is always amazing. You definitely feel the love when you come in. The lady who usually helps me is super friendly and very appreciative of your business. Food quality is consistently good. Their soups are tasty and hearty. The rice plates are a perfect size. I never feel like I’m wanting for more food. I recommend the eggplant basil dish.

Wonderful authentic viet food. Great place for vegetarians and non-vegetarians to eat together. Which was the case for our party. Would come back again. Recommend the sadec dry noodles and spring rolls!

How did this place get so many good reviews? Right after we ate and left, my boyfriend says, «That was so shitty! Worse $ 19 I ever spent on food.» I had the Hu Tieu Sa Dec kho(which is what their restaurant is named after) and it was alright, at best. The noodles were sooo overcooked, the slices of pork were dry and I had to add a lot of lime juice + pickled peppers(which was oddly sweet.) to manage to eat at least half my bowl. Oh and in the picture, there’s a shrimp cracker shown in the noodle bowl and what I got was a puffy, stale shrimp chip. I asked my boyfriend to finish the rest of my bowl but he couldn’t do it either because there were so much noodles! My boyfriend ordered the Hu Tieu Bo Kho and the waitress told him to get it with egg noodles instead because they wrote up the menu wrong. wth? She even said that if he gets the rice noodles over egg noodles, it will for sure be overcooked. wth? But he’s a lover of rice noodles with the beef stew so he kept to his order. It turned out to be a giant bowl of overly sweet soup with tons of overcooked rice noodles. The soup had no «bo kho» flavor whatsoever! He squeezed a lot of lime juice into that as well. …and service was so awkward. The waitress saw that I had a DSLR out so she came over and stood over me, watching. just watching me trying to take photos until I looked up at her and she asked, «you guys from another restaurant business? You take pictures for a business? I need someone to update my menu for me.» I just quietly said, «um, no. I don’t, sorry.» It was just weird. We just got our food and were about to eat. she could have asked us afterwards. My boyfriend and I spent the whole meal giving each other«wth» looks.

Went here for the first time today. I tried the Vermicelli Noodle with Curry Beef. I added a fried egg over easy as well. It was pretty tasty. Their water is flavored a bit with a sweet mint taste that I wasn’t too keen on. But overall the place is a decent small restaurant. Owner is really friendly. I will stop by again when I’m around.

Neighborhood Vietnamese to go place! Well I mean they have seating but I think most of their business is to go. I’ve had the pad Thai, beef stew and shaking beef here and enjoyed all of it! The orders are always ready in a flash. Be prepared to be patient because some of the staff don’t speak English.

Came here with my sister and her bf and I gotta say this place is pretty decent. Ordered a sadec moodle and two pad thai and they were all delicious. Every dish here is $ 9 and definitely worth it. Will come back for frequent pad thai takeouts

This is a cute little mom and pop restaurant with good food! I ordered the pad see ew with shrimp, banh khot, and pad thai — all were pretty good! I never had banh khot with coconut milk on top which was a nice surprise. This was my first time here and I’ll be back! Service is nice and friendly. I’m glad I don’t have to drive all the way to grand century for banh khot or banh xeo. Can’t wait to try the fried tofu and soups next time!

I come here ALLTHETIME for their deep fried sesame tofu. My favoriteeeee! I love how they won’t cook it unless they know you’re going to pick it up right away because the owner wants you to eat it freshly cooked! The owner is the sweetest lady ever. She’s seriously one of the reasons why I come back all the time.

We like buying take-out from this place and we’re really happy they added meat/seafood to their menu! I hope it stays around! It is one of those new simple family owned and operated restaurants and they’re still working out all the kinks. The menu has changed a few times since they’ve opened. We ate in one time and the lady running the place was friendly and helpful. Their food is tasty. Favorites so far: Sa Dec noodle(comparable to Vung Tau’s and less expensive! Get soup on the side.) Fried sesame tofu appetizer Pad thai Pad see ew

Sa Dec Noodle was a disappointment. took over a vegeterian spot and added meat dishes and possibly thai dishes. eats: bun hue(8.25 w/tax) –mostly fried tofu, few slivers of beef, slices of pork loaf. –broth slightly spicy, slight msg. –menu didn’t have it, posted on store window –had impression it was bun ho hue. foodnotes: –chef handled taking orders and cooking, waitress not available –just 9 small tables. –door left wide open, luckily wasn’t that cold noonish. –menu had pics and names of food, no sectioning of what’s what thinking pics on window not included in eatery menu.

Formally Cheerful Veggie, same location, same great food. Exactly what you want take out food to be, fresh, filling, flavorful, not greasy. Dishes are flawlessly made, staff is generous and kind. A perfect compliment to a Friday night in.

The place was clean. The food was good. The service was quick and friendly. Recommend their Banh Canh Tom Cua(fresh homemade noodles), Hu Tieu Sa Dec, Banh Khot(starter). Very hot and fresh for a cold winter day.

This place isn’t the fanciest or the grooviest spot to dine at… it’s not like you’d take a first date out here,(I wouldn’t til like the second date), but the food most definitely, cheerfully, delivers. They were previously Cheerful Veggie which catered just to the Vegetarians… however, they’ve turned a new leaf — a leaf that now caters to you Carnivores. Their soups, stews, pad Thai, bun, just about everything looked good. It was a little hard to select an item since 1) I was starving and 2) I didn’t really know what I felt like eating. I’m a finicky type sometimes. My bad. I went for the Bun Bo Xao and my little had the Beef stew. Both amazing dishes, perfect for this cold December day. Ok not so cold, but I do foresee frequent trips here when it does get to below 65 degrees in the South Bay.

This place used to be cheerful veggie, but it has now reopened as Sa Dec Noodles. They serve both vegetarian and meat based dishes. The flavors are awesome and you get big portions. The Royal noodle soup(Bun Hue) is my favorite item on the menu. The crispy sesame tofu is also great. This place is a great option for when you want vietnamese take out.

The restaurant offers both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. They give big portion for $ 8 – 10. The food was good, but nothing is special or exceptional. They have much less vegetarian dish in regard to other vegetarian restaurants. Friendly service and good food overall(:

First to review!!! Yay! The place was really nice! It’s a new business so I hope that people get to know this place. The Pad Thai was amazing! It was $ 9 and it was in a very satisfying portion. Probably one of the most delicious pad Thai I have ever tasted in my lifetime. I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu! The people who work here are really nice. Definitely will be coming back for lunch
