It’s been a year later and I still get excellent service, no mark ups and never feel like I don’t know the truth about the state of my vehicle. My car is almost 11yrs old and I trust them more than anyone. You’re in good hands here!

The guys over at Sease’s are seriously top notch. My car has a habit of falling apart, piece by piece, so, I’ve gone over there on multiple occasions and had phenomenal service every time. Super professional, completely honest and upfront about what’s wrong (and what’s not) and what absolutely needs to be fixed (and what absolutely doesn’t). I’ve searched for a long time to find a good mechanic and these guys are my go-​to.
Quick turnaround, fair prices, no crazy upselling tactics. Top-​notch.

Have been going to Sease’s for a couple years now with a 1969 Dodge Charger and a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon. Greg and Dan have always treated me fair and done thorough work. Found them on Unilocal,and figured I should pitch in with the praise for these guys.

I have been taking my old Tahoe here for years.

I have been taking my cars to Sease’s Auto for over eighteen years. The shop came highly recommended and I have always been very happy with the service received there.
Greg is very upfront and honest. I tend to drive cars into the ground (meaning I drive them for years). I appreciate the time Greg takes when I want to discuss whether or not to put more money into my old car (s).

Sease’s is the only place I take my car since they repaired the clutch on my 2005 Saturn Vue last year. The guys that work there know what they are doing – and they are mechanics you can trust 100 percent. I was talking to the owner the last time I was in for about 30 minutes – not just about cars, but about family, life, etc. One of the nicest guys I have ever met. Each time I take my car in – they know exactly what to do – and do the work efficiently. I can’t say enough good things about Sease’s – they take their work, and customer service very serious. Take your car here – and they will take care of you!

My 2003 Pontiac Vibe GT needed a new clutch, and based on a referral from my good friend Christine M, I brought it in on Monday. First, I have to say that my parents own an auto shop on the east coast, so walking in was very familiar, and I knew what to look for in a quality shop. Greg Sease is a hard-​working, honest guy, who answered all of my questions, didn’t give me any nonsense or try to sell me anything I didn’t need, and quoted me a fair price and a reasonable amount of time to get the car fixed. Wednesday morning (at 8am!), they called to say it was ready to pick up. When I picked it up, the price for the clutch replacement — plus an emergency brake adjustment and previously-​unknown necessary air filter replacement — was the same as the estimate for just the clutch job They did a great job on my car, and it drives almost like new again. The shop seems to be properly equipped with modern tools to quickly and properly fix any problem — there’s no hackery or kludges here! And finally, it’s good to see shops that get referrals from AAA, and have ASE certified technicians on staff. I am 100% satisfied with my repair, the price was fair, and the treatment was top notch. I would not hesitate one moment to bring my family’s vehicles here in the future or refer my friends to Sease’s.

My car was making this terrible thumping sound whenever i went over bumps. i took it to Wheelworks where they diagnosed problems with my sway bar and a leaking strut, quoting me $ 1400 to repair it. i decided i wanted a second opinion, and found Sease’s through the AAA website. They got me right in for an inspection, and while they diagnosed the same problem, the price Greg quoted me was $ 300 less than Wheelworks, and they could start on it right away, whereas WW needed two days to order the parts.
When i picked up my car today, it was even $ 50 cheaper than Greg’s original quoted price. My car drives wonderfully, and the thumping sound is gone. i’m greatly relieved, and so happy to have finally found a mechanic in the area i can go to with problems. The shop is also just a few blocks from light rail, which made getting back and forth easy for me, since i live right off light rail myself. i also saw a SJPD car awaiting work, and i figure if the police trust these guys to fix their cars, they’ll be good for mine, too!

What about these folks that praise and then give 4 stars? DOH!
Sease auto is honest and reliable. Will go to them again without hesitation.

Greg and his staff are always so knowledgeable, nice and MOST importantly honest and they’re always willing to fit a girl and her car «Betsey» in.

In the 13+ years I’ve worked at my company we’ve never had to take a car back for the same repairs and have always been satisfied with the quality of their work, same goes for my car.
Just recently I took my car in and it was going to be what appeared a rather expensive fix :(
Oh to my surprise, they did everything they possibly could to save «Betsey» and to save my wallet and surprisingly it worked! It ended up costing way less than originally anticipated and they worked with me! They worked to save both my car and wallet and for that I am grateful.
In short, when it comes to your car, if you want things done right the very first time, take your car to Sease’s.

Greg and Sease’s are the best! We found out about them through our regular mechanic who sends all the biggest jobs over to Sease’s. They have replaced an axle for me and repaired air conditioning. He’s also done great work on my husband’s truck. When our van needed to be towed, I called them from my cell phone, and they accepted the towed vehicle while I went home so that my children would not be alone. I didn’t even have to go to the shop. When my van completely died, it was towed to them and after diagnosis they were really nice about letting it sit there for a couple of days until it could be picked up for donation. When we were buying a used vehicle, Greg gave us very good advice about what to look for. Before we bought the vehicle, he put it up on the rack for us and gave it a thorough inspection for only $ 108. Even my mother, who lives 1 ½ hours away sent me an article about great repair shops in our area and Sease’s was on it. Their work is great and their customer service is even better.

These guys are super nice and honest! I hope I don’t have to visit them soon but if something breaks I am coming here.

What can I say. I usually don’t do reviews but Greg and Danny make it easy to trust. My wife and I took are Pontiac g6 to them with check engine light, catalytic converter problems … well they explained to me that we probably are covered under warranty with the dealer we purchased it through. He was right! nice…no charge. the hardest part about it is the dealer has to do the work. don’t worry though Sease’s will aways be are guys. again, thanks for your honesty. It means everything to us…

I’ve been coming here for a while, after a friend of mine recommended it to me. Up until then I had dealt with one dishonest mechanic after another. Greg and Dan are honest and hardworking people who make sure your vehicle is taken care of. What I like most is Greg’s friendliness and the fact that he explains exactly what’s wrong with your car. Great people work here, I can’t recommend this place highly enough!

I moved to San Jose a little over 2 yrs ago and had been searching for an auto mechanic familiar with classic american cars to take my ’67 Impala and ’68 Plymouth to. If you own an older car, you know what I mean — you don’t want your baby butchered or tweaked by someone used to only working on newer Japanese or German cars — you want to bring it to someone who cares about American Muscle and does things right. So I’m in Napa Auto on 4^th Street buying some parts and I ask them if they have any recommendations. They say sure — the shop in back of us — Sease’s Auto — go see Greg, the owner. I didn’t even know there was a shop there in the back! Well, there is a sign up front, I just didn’t notice. Fast forward 1 year. I’ve taken both cars to Greg, Dan, and Vladimir several times each and every time they have taken care of my cars with exceptional service and care. They definitely know what they’re doing and they know classic cars! Greg is awesome and treats you great and treats his 2 employees like family. All 3 guys always take time to answer all of your questions and make sure you know what your options are. Danny is also especially awesome with the electrical work and he’s Greg’s right hand man and gets things done. You know you’re in good hands with these guys. Their prices are fair. Best of all — they’re close to my house, so it’s easy to drop the cars off. The work they’ve done for me so far includes — remedied some ignition problems, trouble-​shot an electrical short, replaced a distributor, removed my dash and replaced a dash gauge cluster, removed and installed a replacement under-​dash wiring harness, tuned up the motor, gave me lots of free advice and also free of charge removed and repressed in the pulley on the back of my power steering pump so I could replace the seal myself at home. I’ve been to Sease’s a few times now, and so far it’s been great! Greg Sease (the owner/​operator) is extremely friendly, seems to be honest and up front about all issues and costs, and remembers you/​your car/​issues from before. I had a problem with my car, that had been ongoing for almost 2 years, and Greg and his staff figured it out and fixed it. The problem hasn’t recurred for several months at this point!
Sease’s is also a AAA-​approved facility, which means you get 1) the confidence that the facility has been inspected and approved to the high standards of AAA, 2) the support of AAA if there’s every any problems, 3) the AAA «warranty”/guarantee on service, and of course 3) the AAA discount!
Everyone knows it can be difficult to find a mechanic you can trust and an honest shop. Sease’s seems to be those things, and I definitely recommend you check them out! Sease’s also services the San Jose State University Police Department’s fleet, so you know they’ve got to be trustworthy! :-)

I needed a regular brake job and didn’t know a mechanic so I checked AAA for a recommendation and tried SEASE’s. Wonderful work and attitude, I will trust them for anything in the future. Went in on a Saturday, had breakfast across the street, and the car was finished before I was. A pleasant experience with an honest approach to car repair.

Great place to take your vehicles. They can also fabricate air conditioning and power steering lines on the spot! Nice people and great customer service.

The company I used to work for took their entire fleet of vehicles here, and they never had any problems! Great, quick service and good guarantees across the board. Awesome place.
