Updating my review:
I have been living in this community for over 3+ plus years now; really didn’t had any bad experience about the place or staff until new new management company took over.
One or the other way they are trying to find ways for charge more money on regular rent + utilities.
Recently I was due for lease renewal which i signed for another year. Monthly statement came and paid in full and next week they send me a letter mentioning there amount due remained due to rent increment after lease renewal. Upon explaining this scenario to the management staff they said there is nothing they can do.
More than that I was unhappy to hear that management company and company that sends monthly statement do not work with each other. what??? why am I paying extra $ 3.75 every month for service fee for that statement? How are they looking at my utilities usage without the management company’s awareness?

Well, its near to the Safeway, CVS pharmacy, Light rail (all within a mile.)
Here are some insights of living in this place for 3 years.
Roach infestation in the kitchen: though you maintained the unit very well, if your neighbor has roaches, you cannot stop them. Roaches in this community are actually treated with harsh pesticides — several times. When the pesticides were sprayed, roaches crawled out of the kitchen and spread into the living area. You can smell the pesticide residue for several days after the treatment is done. No «greener» options available.
Day care services in the apartments. This is a serious business.(since they are run without license and on H4 visa) they are pretty cheap and flocks of people end up in front of your apartment all the day (they are run in batches with more than 10 kids). Feels like you are living in India, where you are helpless with the noise while living near a school. They earn THOUSANDS of dollors illegally at the expence of our privacy.
Early this winter, there were couple of incidences of chain snatching and someone barging into the house.

Never ever think of lease apartment in Sierrabrook. Worse management.

avoid this property — and alliance — at all costs! they are liars, deceptive, devious, unethical! they refuse to return security deposits — originally made with prometheus but kept by alliance. worse: they do not provide the required statement proving why they have refused the deposit return! this is a violation of ca law! the alliance corporate office will not intervene to correct the local management errors. we are left with no choice but to sue alliance/​sierrabrook apts for the deposit return… which we will gladly do.

I don’t know why these people are treating Leasing Professionals as a means to an end. You know, in the realty industry, A LOT of miscommunication forms and it’s usually not their fault because it’s hard to manage over 100 residents and know everything!
I moved here on August 24, 2014 in the 2 bedroom apt (with a HUGE balcony) and so far I LOVE it! For the past 5 years on my own, I have learned that saving money by paying cheap rent isn’t REALLY worth it at all! You deal and attract annoying roommates and landlords who are also cheap (shocker huh?)!! Anywho, once I met Kathy and Brad, and they presented themselves as professionals. From their outfit to their language, you can just tell that they are trying to do their job to and make you enjoy your stay. Isn’t that the mutual agreement between both parties?
As for the apartment, the appliances are a little out-​dated because they don’t seem energy efficient and the maintenance response is fairly quick (within 24-​hours). To add, I chose the location that is near the on-​site pool, laundry, and parking lot (yes, I have my very own parking space with a roof). As for the pool, it is nice and big for 10 – 13 people. The laundry machines are fast, energy efficient, and $ 1.50/wash and $ 1.25/dryer. Overall, the pricey rent isn’t technically pricey at all once you realize what you’re paying for.
Tip: Rent payments need to be Cashier’s Check.

Not a bad place to live. We lived there for close to 10 years, maybe longer.
Saw the neighbors come and go as well as the property management come and go. Most recently, before moving out, the office was frequently closed, the management was unavailable most of the time and unreliable. And there was one girl in the office in particular who was hard to communicate with who I nicknamed ‘Celine Dion’.
The neighborhood itself is ok. Used to be alot worse. We stayed in a downstairs unit and it seemed like everyone who lived above us was always noisy, particularly these folks who would do chinese karaōke. Luckily they were evicted, but it seemed like something was always up with the neighborhood noise-wise.Daytime or night it was impossible to sleep.
Location is good though. Right next to the movies, McDonalds, Taco Bell. And even though its right along side 680, you cant really hear the traffic, which is good, since theres enough neighborhood noise to make up for it.
