I would give them zero stars if it were possible. Do not shop here! Their customer service is non-​existent and the man behind the counter is rude and disrespectful. If this had happened only once I would dismiss it as he was having a bad day, but I had the misfortune of visiting this business on two separate occasions. On both visits he did not acknowledge my presence even though there were no other customers in the store. When he did address me, he interrupted me to tell me that he would be unable to help, and when I began to ask a follow-​up question he waved me away, saying he couldn’t help me. If this were the last business that repaired phones in San Jose, I would drive elsewhere. Reading some of the other Unilocal reviews, it appears that even when he does decide to repair a phone, he botches the job. Do not give this store your business!

I went here to get prepaid phone service that worth of $ 30 and he charge me $ 21 extra for sim card activation that is free online. He didn’t include the activation charge during original quote and didn’t allow me to cancel the order even I was there in store.
Don’t ever go here.

Fast and cheap! These are my go to guys for broken phone screens! They work pretty fast. It’s def not the cheapest but def get it done quick!

Do not come here! Brought my S4 phone in to fix cracked screen. Got phone back with problems. No one could hear me on a phone call. Quoted $ 60 over the phone, in store it was $ 160.
Returned to have them fix the problem. He did not want to fix for free. I said it was working perfectly fine when I brought it in. He said my speaker is broken and it will cost $ 10 to replace. I paid the $ 10 just to get the hell out of there.
My phone speaker/​microphone is STILL NOT WORKING CORRECTLY. NOW, MY HOME BUTTON IS MESSED UP. I must use bluetooth for everything.

I took my iPhone 6 to Smart Mobile Solutions in June and they fixed the glass on my screen. The glass didn’t look like the original glass. It turned out three weeks later the glass cracked and began to slide off the phone. The touchscreen stopped working. I took my phone to another repair shop. They said the glass was cheap and not Apple quality and that they put the screws in backwards and cracked the circuit board. The phone was doomed post repair. Today, I took the phone back to them and although it says there business is open, they are not. I think the test will be in their response to my return. My phone is garbage now. They need to replace it. I will be back on Sunday when they reopen.

I wanted to update my previous review.. I also purchased a new battery here at this location and for some reason it couldn’t hold a charge. My old battery still worked sufficiently so they refunded me the full cost of the battery against their policy.

I took my son’s iPhone with what I thought was an unfixable, shattered screen and they fixed it FAST and it now looks and works like new! Second time there (for another phone), second time completely satisfied with their service!

DO NOT GO HERE! THEY DONT GUARANTEE THEIR WORK! They will blame you for the damage. brought my Galaxy s3 for a charging port problem. Told me a few days to fix. Was leery on leaving my phone with these people cause they look sketchy. Phone was ready in 3 days. After less than 2 wks phone was having same problem. I went back to show and tell them and he said port was pushed in. Like I damaged it again and pushed it in. If anything I was even more careful with it know ing I paid $ 65 to have it fix and needed to be careful with it for the next 10months when my contract is up. He was rude. even answered a phone call and was rude to the person on the phone. I told him if anything I was careful and it was only 2 wks. he said they would look at it again but it will cost me another $ 65. NO WAY! 0****

Came her to get my phones serviced, it took 3 days longer then i was originally quoted. had to call them several times to find out whats taking so long. not happy but they did give me a refund so gave them two stars for that.

This guy is awesome. I wasted 2 ½ hours in the Apple Store and he had my problem fixed in 15 minutes. I was so happy I bought some more accessories and he threw in a free cable!

This review is only for the iPhone guy experience, the other person seems quite a nice chap.
I found them on CG and decided to get an free diagnostic and estimate for my iPhone. When I called the they told me free diagnostic but when I got there they quoted $ 25. So when I called my hubs and he mentioned Mobile City on Tully road charges $ 10 they reduced the charges to $ 10. Next they quoted $ 45 to fix the power charge port, then the guy said something else wrong with my phone and he has to reinstall the software which means loosing data, so I had to defer this to another day and said I’ll do the backup before coming back to fix it. The guy got upset and told me he will not fix it if I come in again. No problem, just that they seemed more interested in getting your money rather than anything else. No Free Diagnostic, No Customer Service. The other person at the front desk who processed my payment was a nice dude, was quite professional and seemed quite stable. The iPhone guy needs to learn some customer relation skills. Overall was not a happy experience!
Cash only — they charge $ 1.50 for Debit card payments.

Unless your one of those guys and girls that break your iPhone screen constantly during your drunk outings. Don’t come here. Lol. brought in a phone i guess somewhat rare to find parts for. broken screen. he didn’t put it back together properly. Craftsman ship? or shitty glue/​product? not to mention i have a huge «soft-​spot/​smudge» that is noticeable and growing larger. this is on the freshly replaced screen. the fact the guy tells me replacement parts have «tiny defects» lost time to take it back. he fixed. the more i use it the more problems are arising. the used some sorta clamp to keep the glue from drying. well guess what? now i have scratch/​notches on every corner on the phone. (Front and back) cosmetically i don’t give a shit about that. when i make phone calls it sounds like scrambled. idk if the replacement screen is attached to audio part. not sure. but it was working fine before i took it in. just minutes ago i tried using a headphone/​microphone that came with the phone. guess what? phone doesn’t detect the headphone. tried few others. nope. shitty service.
im disgusted with the fact the guy at the counter. «all replacement parts have small defects»
are you joking? that’s like saying its fine for your brand new tire to have a tiny pin hole leak. so ridiculous. i don’t even want to go back to settle it. not worth the time. i payed half the value of my phone. possibly even more. and that’s not what i was worried about. i expected it to be right first time. so far fucking nightmare. i dont even want to use my phone. im going to replace it. fuck this place. don’t waste your time

This is the second time I’ve used this place to fix my iphone. These guys are the best. They are professional and very nice. I re broke my phone today about an hour after I got it back, and they took me right in and fixed it AGAIN, and gave me a discount on a new phone case!
I come all the way from willow glen to use this business. They are soooo worth the drive. They also fix computers too, and I’m sure with my luck these days, I’ll need them to do that too!
Top notch customer service and the guy who’s at the front is a total sweetheart to boot (sorry I can’t remember his name!)

Have a phone that needed unlocking. This was done within a matter of minutes. Excellent service

I needed to fix my Lumia 1020 due to a crack screen from a drop.
The first replacement screen they ordered was defective. Unfortunately, they can’t put the original cracked screen back since it was disassembled. They told me that I can go back to the store to get a loaner phone while they order another replacement screen. So the service is good so far.
The next week, they called me to tell me my phone is ready. When I inspected the phone, the screen wasn’t installed correctly and it was protruding out. I can actually press on the lower left corner and see it move. So I left it there for them to fix it.
The next day I returned to pick up my phone. The protrusion was fixed but the screen still moves a little. I then asked them what kind of warranty they have on their work. I mentioned that the screen is already moving a bit now when I press on it so what happens in the future if it becomes more lose or the adhesive they used gives out. They said if it becomes lose, just bring it back.
So at the end, my summary is that the service is good. But it’s just unfortunate for me that they can’t fix my phone back to the original state. Oh well.

I had my Iphone 5 screen replaced today. I couldn’t be more pleased. Professional, fast and cheaper than buying a new phone. I would recommend this business without hesitation to anyone.

I came here on a Tuesday afternoon because I dropped my iPhone and cracked my phone screen.
They were very friendly and check to make sure I didn’t have more intensive damage (which I didn’t even think to check like wifi working, microphone etc)
They fixed it in about 25 minutes and it cost me $ 75. I was pleased on how fast and friendly they were! I hope I don’t need to use them again but I would definitely recommend coming here.
There are located in a mini mall in the back so make sure to look out for them because you can miss them easily.

One thing I learn from my recent mistake is not to open the Iphone4 which is out of warranty and try to fix yourself. I bought a special screwdriver hoping I could fix the power switch but I broke some other cables which cost me additional $ 60 to repair.
SMS fixed my power switch for $ 59 and that would be the only cost of repair if I send my phone to them to get it fixed. Since my phone is almost 2 yrs and I wanted to replace it in Dec, I decided to give to try and fix it but instead broke the screen cable and that cost me additional $ 60. Total cost for repair is $ 129.
It is a not a simple and easy task to fix iphone or any smartphone so I give them 4-​stars but effort and cost. You have to make sure that the phone works after the repair so the QA is on you. They will make sure that you are satisfied and if you find something else not working, SMS will fix it for you. Wait time is approx 45 – 50 minutes but always same day.

Between a crazy ex-​girlfriend (water polo player), a brick wall (thank god for my Otterbox), and the day to day dropping of my phone (clumsy, clumsy), I have had four phones repaired here. I have also purchased my back-​up phone from here.
From Blackberries to my HTC, Alan and his team are experts and convey the utmost atmoshpere of professionalism; cracked screens, software issues, hardware problems, they do it all.
Their prices are always reasonable and fair (I’ve shopped around). Alan takes full responsibilty for every single one of his repairs; he will take care of you.
