I found these guys because I was looking for a new printing company to print shirts for my pool business. I have had problems with the places Ive used in the past. 1^st place didn’t even use the colors of my logo and decided to just print what they wanted. 2^nd place rushed me into ordering and wouldn’t take time to help me with design ideas. 3^rd times a charm i guess, because when I came in the first time the designer asked me to sit down with him and instantly started playing with designs for me, he told me that he wants me to be happy with the final result and I am! I get compliments all the time about our shirts, and I just placed another order, they also communicate throughout the process and had my order ready when they promised. No need to shop around anymore! Thanks guys!

Was in a bind. Trying to get T-​shirts for an up coming Mustang car show, as my regular guy couldn’t deliver in time. Was going to go the Online route, but came across Austin and the folks at King of Campus.
Explained the problem and got them the design and they freaking killed it. Great price, awesome work and most of all just good local business! Highly recommend!

I love this place. I just had a surgery and needed to get some work done with my team before a deadline we needed to meet, barely being able to think straight i was struggling to find a local shop that had the resources i needed. I wanted to have something heat transferred onto some boy shorts for St Patty’s day so i called up king of campus which they are in the process of changing their name to sway and park? i wanted to see if they could get the job done right that moment. People are usually not excited to take on last minute work like this i figured but they invited my right over … I spoke with Austin whom took care of heat transfer and more. so Long story short their under construction and i believe they are gonna use up their space efficiently they have a front shop opening featuring designers and artist clothing in the area and they have a real cozy vibe going i met the owner and his wife as well and i just felt welcomed… the owner was beyond helpful. Austin took the art work right off my computer thru an email i gave him my suggestions and he understood quickly what i wanted and got it done even faster i can tell with in seconds from working with someone wether they understand my vision and i really trusted their team off the bat and the results proved it they saved my day and helped me reach my goal by completing another task that may have not been completed with out them im glad i went there and i would highly recommend them to any one who was need of their type of services.

Its unfortunate that I have to re review due to the frustration that I had with these guys and not responding or following up to my e mails. King of campus will continue to have great business for what ever reason. But it was frustrating when I sent an e mail with my mock ups and item numbers and never got a response. I had to call and ask if they got my e-​mail. I was told no so I sent it again and for some reason they got it this time. Was told I’d get quotes… bs. I never did, not even after three more e mails asking for one. Since then I went else where and have been treated great. Lesson learned, it takes a while to find great business!

I had to get 2 shirts printed with 1 day turnaround time, and they made it happen! I couldn’t be more pleased with the timeliness, good communication, and quality. I will make future orders with King of Campus and refer everyone I know to them! Top-​notch. Oh, and the prices were totally reasonable for the small quantity and quick production.

I could not say anything negative about these folks.
I’ve ordered from them multiple times and always had a pleasant experience. They are quick to answer emails and setup orders.
We usually go from ordering shirts to picking them up in less than a week.

King of Campus was awesome helping me design shirts for a bachelorette party. They went out of the way to help me create a unique/​custom screen print design and were able to print a small quantity (11) at a very competitive price. I would use them again in a heartbeat. They are good at what they do and also really up to speed on modern technology — easy to communicate with them via text and email, which is really convenient. Also, don’t be alarmed by the entry way to their office space — the office is in the back right now!

Calling all over San Jose, desperately looking for a place to get a fast, but good job done, I finally came across King of Campus. What caught my attention were the Bike Party hoodies that they have as their main business pic on Unilocal and if this spot supports bike party then I definitely want to support them.
Anyways, I was looking for a place to get a rush order on an SF flag I wanted to get customized for the Cinco de Mayo Armin Van Buuren show in Oakland. Finally, after what seemed like eternity to find a place willing to accept the job, the guys at King of Campus finally answered my raver prayers. I took my flag in to the get the quote and the design done on a Wednesday and by Friday I got my flag beautifully printed with Trance Family on it. For such huge lettering and such short notice, I only spent around $ 50 and it was perfectly printed! These guys probably have no idea how much their work was admired at the AvB show, because I literally had every photographer stop me to take a picture of me reppin’ the best Trance Family chapter in the entire world! This flag will also be flying proud at EDC Vegas. Anyways, if you’re looking for great quality printing services at a reasonable price, definitely come see these guys. I am totally looking forward for these guys to do our upcoming Vegas bachelorette tanks.

I work for a start-​up company in Palo Alto and we needed to get shirts made ASAP for a conference we were attending. In a matter of a week we approved the proof (they have an artist that helps with this), made the order and got the t-​shirts. That is a great turn-​around. They did a wonderful job and the quality of their work was very high. I will not hesitate to use them for our next order!

Here’s the scoop:
I put in a rather small and difficult order to these guys and they were able to get it done in a very short period of time.
Details:
— I needed t-​shirts done by Friday, so I put in an order on Monday, and they were able to get everything done on time.
— The t-​shirt quality was just as I had hoped it would be and the designer, Austin, worked with me to make sure the design was what I wanted it to be.
— An employee, Rachel, worked with me to find an alternative t-​shirt color when they realized they were out of the original color I ordered.
— There were complications that needed me to switch t-​shirt colors. They were able to work around charging me extra by moving my black shirts over to another order and ordering new orange shirts for my new order without any extra cost.
The thing I appreciated a lot was that they don’t seem to have a minimum on the number of shirts you need to order. I ordered about 16 shirts and there was no penalty or additional charge for having a small order. They were still able to give a bulk and fair price.
There were complications due to the nature of the order, but Solomon and Rachel went out of their way to work things out and see things through to the end which was also very appreciated.
I think the bottom line is that this is a company with employees that really care about their product and their company which is a rare trait to see. Overall, I loved the t-​shirts they made as they were exactly as I had hoped they would be.

Where do I begin with these incompetent, liars, scammers and idiots… Well I’ve done business with these guys back in 2009, then the service was just OK yet cheap.
Recently I decided to do business with these idiots and I wish I would have gone with my first option instead of these guys. Well, just a few months ago I called Saluman up and informed him that we had worked together a few years ago and wanted to do business again if we can work out an deal. He replied «of course», so I emailed him my ideas, text and images just to get an idea or better understanding of the direction I would like to take. A week an a half later after emailing and calling he sends over a mock email. This mock email or prototype was completely left field more so nothing I wanted.
You ever called a bullshitter and once you state who you are they reply «I was just about to call you» yet you haven’t heard from them in days after attempting to reach them? So I stress my concerns with Saluman and said that we have we to get the ball going because I have due dates. Another week passed so I called and this rude girl picks the phone up by the name of RACHEL who probably worked there for 3 days stated that Saluman is really busy but I can help you. Now because of the attitude I didn’t want her assistance, but I said is it possible to get a quote for my order in addition to an actual prototype of the design submitted? Well — after receiving the invoice i had questions regarding pricing as they did not reflect what they posted on line. Her explanation was that Cotten is really high and we have to raise pricing because of it and if you don’t like our rates you can shop around.
FUCKING WOW — 1 month later, I don’t have the prototype of my shirt idea. (did I mention that it’s just PRINT?)
So whenever I call them the pricing is different and additional hidden fees occur out of nowhere. They wanted to charge me $ 425 for 25 shirts. I’m glad that I found a place to do the same order for $ 285 and it’s a bigger business. (of course I purchased the shirts separately)
If you want to deal with a straight up company with ethnics, morals, and honesty. RUN FROM THESE ASS HOLES. They pretend to be nice but once you challenge them about their pricing and order status they make you feel as if you’re bothering them.

We’ve used King of Campus for our event shirts for the past 6 years and look forward to placing our order each time. They always come out great and we keep coming back for more! Sulaiman is lovely to work with and does a great job with the artwork — always improving on our design and optimizing it for printing. The quality is top-​notch and the shirts look and feel great. It’s so nice to be able to support a local business that does such an excellent job.

Just picked up our shirts today and am very happy with the final product and the quick turnaround time. Our office is participating in a fundraiser this coming weekend and we were running out of time to get shirts printed up for us. I spoke to several online t-​shirt screening services who were unable to process our shirts in time, so I decided to look for a local screening. Talked to Sulaiman on the phone, and went down to the shop with my logo files. He did a quick mock up on the computer, some minor adjustments and we placed the order. 8 days later I have my shirts and they look great.
My thanks to everyone at King of Campus for the shirts, we’ll be sure to use you for our next event.

Fast, reliable, and affordable. The hipster staff knew exactly what I wanted for my birthday theme. They handled design and made it worry free. We got so many compliments on the work. @KOC you should patent and sell Faded and X-​Rated tanks you would make a killing!

I am no connoisseur of shirts/​printing, but I first found out about the KoC when I met Sulaiman on one of the SJ Bike Parties. He is a good man, and he’s always done what I needed when I needed it. He only uses American Apparel shirts, so they always turn out fitting the same without wondering if it’s gonna be different this time or not.
I’ve worked with other printers before, who will remain nameless, and I always felt as if I was being ripped off. These guys have done great work for me, and they have done it cheaper than competitors I’ve gotten quotes from, and I’ve never had a bad experience here.
If my opinion is worth anything I suggest you give them a try.

My experience with King of campus was super solid. I have worked with the best and worst in the shirt business and this time had a very small but important order with a very short deadline. Soloman was very professional about giving me a realistic deadline and delivered in the time he promised. The shirts were gifts for Christmas and he went out of his way to make sure my order was done so I would not have to stress. I am working with him now on our current shirts and he not only is helping create my vision but offering suggestions to make sure the shirt looks great. I cant say enough good about the quality of work and the great customer service provided by these guys. Thanks for the great work!

My experience is just like Dee D except that mine was NEVER done. I actually first spoke with the guys at King Of Campus back in February 2010. I first asked if it was ok just to have 1 hoodie done. I was told it was ok and it would cost a bit more since they would have to create a screen for just 1 piece. I had also read on the website this quote, «The standard turn around time for a print order is three to seven (3 – 7) business days after the approval of final artwork.» So I was thinking, «cool I can get this done before the big show!»
Everyone was nice there and we had everything set up. I was just asked to send my design through email along with the images. I did that in less than a day.
So a week goes by. I ask through email if they needed anything else from me. No response.
Another week goes by and I email to ask if it will be done in time for the show i’m going to. I get no response.
Another week goes by and the show is done. I get an email asking about one of the images. I actually go in and talk to them personally. I’m told that they just need to clean up one of the images.
Now I am here. End of May. I put in the request back in the very beginning of February. I have not received 1 email since that last one. I don’t even need a hoodie anymore.
My first printing experience.
I was also told that this place would offer classes in the future. And I was very eager to learn. No more. The only reason I went here in the first place was because it is less than 5 minutes walking distance from my home and it seemed so professional. Never again. No thank you. If anyone here can recommend a good Printing place in San Jose (downtown area) that has no minimum please let me know.

I wish I could have had the same experience as the first reviewer. I will first start this review by stating what was indeed good about this place.
–The gentleman who assisted me (Solomon) is extremely nice, and customer service oriented
–Timely with response to e-​mail and telephone
–Best part: They accommodate small orders (our first order was ~50 shirts), and our second order was 8 zip-​up hoodies.
The good news really ends there. Here is where my experience differed:
–I completely understand that if I’m ordering small quantities, the price for an individual unit is higher. That is VERY reasonable. However, what was unacceptable was that my order was «put off» until another larger order was done. Fine, that’s acceptable if I’m put off for larger fish to fry. I can take that. However, I was put off… then put off… then put off… until May 11^th, the day I received it. I was given the explanation straight from Solomon.
–Going through my email logs (47 msgs long), I placed the order on March 1^st. Yep, two and a half months before when it was still cold out enough for my clients to want to actually wear the sweaters. I received them on an 82 degree day.
–I was asked to provide my art-​work a second time (even though they had it for my first T-​shirt order), and then sent me a digital proof for a different client that said «girls night out», asking me if it looked fine. I say to myself, «honest mistake», and ask him to resend. He then asked me when my original art-​work was sent (I assume he lost it.)
–KoC charged my credit card on April 9^th. I saw my card was charged, so I assume my order is ready to be picked up as no communication was sent to me. Went into the shop, my zip-​ups were not ready. (Recall, they were not done until 5/​11, over one month later… so I’m not sure why my card was charged before my product satisfaction was approved.) With my first order, I paid when I picked up, so this was inconsistent.
–My friend (who contracted KoC to do their shirts) contacted him to see what was up with my order as I was out of town — they informed him they had issues printing on the zipper. They informed my friend they would be ready over the weekend and that they’d be ready for pickup on Monday. This was 10 days before I actually received the product.
–Fast forward to the day before I actually received the order in my hands, I got an email stating they were ready for pickup. I call the place to confirm, and was informed that it would be available in the evening. I arrive and wait outside (for about 20 minutes, was not invited inside to sit) while my order was looked for. It turns out they misplaced it (like with the proof.) The extremely nice Solomon apologized profusely while I gave him my disappointment schpeal. I would normally blow up on service like this, but he was very nice and insisted that he will have it delivered to where I worked. He even threw in two extra sweaters for free.
–The next day, it was indeed delivered. I was informed that the driver did not have a cell phone, but would arrive in 15 minutes from the phone call that I was given. So I wait… and wait… and wait. 1 HOUR 15 MINUTES later, I got a call from a cell phone. Hm. It was the driver.
–I reviewed my order, noticed I got a XXXL instead of a XXXXL as one of the orders, but was SOOOO tired from all this run-​around and poor execution, I decided to cut my losses and just turn and walk away. I’m left with a client that did not have a jacket that fit properly.
In Summary, I was very patient. The weather was not, as it is now too warm ultimately for the zip-​ups to be worn. Hopefully we’ll have some cold nights.
This place has potential, but until they get their act together, I can not endorse this business. Being a small business owner myself whose product and brand is steadily gaining popularity, I would have easily put in large orders in the future. He knew I was also a small business owner, where was the love?
The sad thing is, if I would have gotten my order in a reasonably timely manner (and not 10 weeks later), they would have received 4 – 5 stars. Too bad they did not have the foresight to see this.
