St. Frances Cabrini School

Moved our kids from public to private and I could not be happier. My kids love coming here, the environment is welcoming and the for the academics are solid. My 7^th grader has been talking about high school for a few years and the school preps them for that! The kids want to enter good schools on their own. They have after school sports and although the school is small its so much better than the public school we came from for them. My kids are feeling challenged where at the public school they were on track. Definitely a higher academic standard. Also, the kids are so respectful, articulate and want to help others ;-D Good daycare programs which assists with homework after school — perfect for working parents!

Great school with a very positive and engaging learning environment. Very happy with our choice!

My biggest regard thus far is having chosen to educate my children at St. Frances Cabrini for 18 years. I have 3 children and believed they were obtaining a good education. The truth is the education was ok. But definitely not worth the way the kids were poorly treated. Anyone who does not fit in the box is not welcome here unless the enrollment was low and they wanted the tuition. The kids were bullied, over worked and to this day dislike the place. I sincerely wish I knew then what I know now. Please listen if your children tell you they do not like it at SFC. My experience tells me they have good reason not to.

Saint Francis Cabrini offers a safe environment for students to learn. We appreciate the small school, intimate feel where students and teachers get to know one another. The academics are rigorous and challenging and there are incredible field trips and on-​campus events that make learning relevant. We especially like the strong emphasis in the middle school years on service. The students do many wonderful activities to help others via organized events at school and in the community at-​large.
It’s felt that the study and preparation skills our son is being given will help him easily transition into a college prep high school environment.

Our son started SFC in middle school and we could not be happier. The teachers are dedicated and very caring and our son comes home happy and relaxed. Their academics are solid and they are doing a great job in preparing our son for entering a private high school. The community is also very caring and kind and have been very welcoming to us. I highly recommend this school over any other private school in the area.

We love St. Frances Cabrini. We have children who have graduated and are doing very well at a local Catholic college prep school, and two more who are thriving at Cabrini. The academic preparation is rock solid, the community is strong, and our children are happy. We chose Cabrini not only for it’s academic reputation, but also because the people in my opinion are well-​grounded. Our children transitioned easily into high school, having developed strong study skills and an appreciation of the importance of service to others, while not picking up a sense of entitlement. We could not be more thankful for the experience we have had at St. Frances Cabrini.

I have worked with St. Francis Cabrini for over 16 years as a outside vendor. They are consistent and their school is 5 star with their children. I wish I lived closer so my childrencan attend The staff is superb with the children!

How could anyone want to attend this school after what was recently released in the news about allowing a sex offender to attend a school carnival function where hundreds of kids are attending… see here for yourself. I am ashamed in Father Vu for sticking up for a pedophile and telling parents «they must forgive» this man for molesting a child… WTF!!! I am SO HAPPY that Father Vu stepped down… he should have been fired… just another way that the Catholic religion accepts the fact that it is ok to molest children. Heaven forbid you fire a Priest! I think that the Principal should also be held accountable for not having EVERY carnival volunteer fingerprinted and background checked. Every parent must do this prior to doing any volunteer work in the classes. So contradicting… just like the Catholic religion! Saint Frances should be shut down!

We had a terrible experience at SFC. They are not family friendly and the previous principal was unprofessional. She was condescending and uncaring. Two of my children were acceptable to stay at the school and one of my children was not. We left the school and all of my children are thriving. They are in a loving, caring family friendly environment at a public school now. Leaving SFC was the best decision my husband and I made.

This school is a fast paced school in comparison to other schools. The students started to read with good comprehension at their kindergarten year. Aside from 2 – 4 pages of homeworks, the school also have their after-​school programs such as chess club, instrument lessons, on-​stage plays etc.

Saint Frances Cabrini (I kept typing it St. Francis of Cabrini) is an active large San Jose Catholic school that also serves the Campbell, Los Gatos and Cambrian Park areas.
They are scheduled for a new principal in the Fall of 2012. Current school size is 600 students.
The school produce’s a slick magazine called the Cabrini Courier.
Cabrini has a good boy scouting program and numerous outreach programs that you don’t have to attend the school to be involved with.
The 8^th grade class has a great social justice program where students put on a mock trial at San Jose’s Hall of Justice to help educate the students on the power of civic law and the ability to use the legal system to get justice.
